Job summary
Join theCambridge Genomics Laboratory, lead provider for the East NHS Genomic Medicine Service, and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality rare disease diagnostics and improve patient care.
As a Principal Clinical Scientist, you will lead and manage a team of scientists, oversee the interpretation of complex genomic data, authorise clinical reports, and provide specialist scientific expertise across a diverse test repertoire.
You will contribute to service leadership, quality management, accreditation activities, staff development, and the implementation of innovative genomic technologies. Working closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure an efficient, accurate, and patient-focused diagnostic service.
Applicants must be HCPC-registered Clinical Scientists with significant experience in a genomics laboratory, expertise in rare disease testing, and proven leadership and staff management skills. Strong communication, analytical, and organisational abilities are essential.

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for leading and managing a team of scientists undertaking genetic diagnostic tests in rare disease.
- Analysis, interpretation of data, and writing and authorising of clinical reports.
- Providing clinical scientific expertise for the repertoire of disorders/tests offered by the assigned team.
- Training and mentoring of scientific staff.
- Member of the laboratory leadership team, contributing to all aspects of providing a high quality service.

All roles in the Trust include a mandatory 12-week training period. - Registered Clinical Scientist with HCPC
- Completion of a formal training programme in Laboratory Genetics, OR postgraduate qualification (PhD or equivalent) in relevant subject and externally assessed clinical genetics laboratory experience
- Completion of Part 1 FRCPath in Genetics; OR PhD in relevant Human Genetics subject and actively preparing for Part 1 FRCPath

Job summary
The Cambridge Genomic Laboratory (East GLH) is looking to recruit a Clinical Scientist to the Haem-Onc cytogenetics team.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of genomic testing for leukaemia diagnosis.
You are required to have several years of hands-on experience analysis of FISH and G-banded Karyotype analysis. SNP array analysis experience would be desirable as well as cytogenetic laboratory techniques and safe sample handling.
Service improvement and quality management in a UKAS accredited laboratory is highly desirable.
Clinical Scientist roles will include supervision and mentoring of staff and managing resources to deliver a safe and accredited service.
The Laboratory is part of the East NHS Genomic Laboratory Hub. This is one of seven Genomic Hubs established to provide the National Genomic Medicine Service for NHS England, led by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and working with Nottingham University Hospital and University Hospital Leicester.
Working hours are rostered between 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, so flexibility is desirable.

Main duties of the job
A Sterile Services Technician is required to be a vital member of the team, working to support the Sterile Services Department Lead and Theatre Manager in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to the required departments within our hospital.
Youll be ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process i.e. cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distribution of medical devices.

Job Summary As a decontamination technician you will be responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical & surgical instrument sets including specialist instrumentation, ensuring they are safe for use on patients. The Central Decontamination Unit (CDU) is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, and works closely with the TACC Care Group. Staff at CDU regularly work together with theatre and clinic staff to ensure surgical instrumentation is fit for purpose and available to use when it is required.
Main duties of the job
Main duties are inspecting and processing all instrument trays that will be used on patients. Full training will be given to use the decontamination machinery.

Job summary
We are seeking to recruit Band 6 Specialist Audiologist/Clinical Scientist in Audiology to work in the Audiology Department based at Withington Community Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital but there may be cross site working with North Manchester Audiology on occasion. The role involves specialist hearing and diagnostic clinics.
The Department is comprised of a Audiology Service Manager, Clinical and Operational Lead, Adult, Therapy, Paediatric & Adult Cognitive and Vestibular leads, Clinical Scientists, Audiologists, Associate and Assistant practitioners, Students and 4 administration staff.
There is opportunity for CPD, and this is strongly encouraged.
Main duties of the job
To deliver a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for AQP and non-AQP patients using investigative and analytical skills to include:
Assessment and hearing management of adults with complex needs including cognitive decline and learning disabilities.
Paediatric hearing assessment.as part of ENT clinics
- Recognise when medical history or test results require referral of patient to highly specialist Audiologist or Clinical lead.
- To be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual treatment programmes
- To undertake a broad range of clinical work as a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of evidence-based patient care, which is of the highest standard.
- To be responsible for monitoring and improving standards of care via Quality Improvement initiatives and by the efficient and effective use of resources. They will participate with clinical audits, research, supervision of practice and teaching for junior staff, students and assistant practitioners.
- To be involved in departmental IQIPs accreditation process
You will be involved in the training and mentoring of students and research projects, as we are a dedicated teaching department and collaborate with research at the University of Manchester with whom we have close links.

This is an exciting opportunity for registered Pharmacy Technicians who are passionate about improving patient outcomes through effective medicines optimisation and collaborative working within primary care settings.
As part of the LMO Team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the Medicines Optimisation Strategy, helping to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the local population. Working closely with GP practices, prescribers and multidisciplinary teams, you will support the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of medicines while delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job
- Support the training and development of administrators, PCN teams, and primary care staff to promote safe, effective, and efficient medicines-related processes.
- Undertake cost-effective medication reviews, audits, and prescribing switches, balancing patient-centred care with NHS resources and budgets.
- Conduct medicines safety audits and review patients in line with local and national guidance, policies, and safety alerts.
- Support pharmacists and Lead Medicines Optimisation Technicians in delivering medicines optimisation priorities, including QIPP and medicines safety initiatives.
- Work with GP practices and Primary Care Networks to improve medicines optimisation processes and support the implementation of medicines incentive schemes.

The Advanced Cardiac Physiologist will be working in our Echocardiography Team across the NCA.
Be a dynamic active member of the echocardiography team supporting the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate service working closely with patients, multi-disciplinary teams and consultants. Support the training of junior staff and audit activity on a daily basis. To work in line with BSE guidelines.
The department offers a full spectrum of invasive and non invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and supporting CPD.

Main duties of the job
Independently practice with a high level of skill and autonomy within the field of echocardiography, providing service across Northern Care Alliance
Ensure optimal standards of care are provided to patients.

Work collaboratively on a day to day basis with colleagues to ensure that the daily workload needs are met.
Provide specialist advice, training, mentoring and supervision in the field of echocardiography to trainee cardiac physiologists, nursing and medical staff and any other professionals that require supportive training as part of their extended roles
Work with the service leads in further developing the clinical physiology service.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality of service and participate in clinical audits.

Job summary
We are seeking a Behavioural Scientist who will work as part of the Behavioural Science and Insights Unit (BSIU), an all-hazards, responsive team within the Science Group at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). They will support the BSIU in delivering behavioural and social science expertise to inform UKHSA's health protection and health security priorities.
Specifically, this Behavioural Scientist role will provide support to the BSIU Behavioural Science Team Leaders to provide robust, expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to behavioural and social science in support of the all-hazards activities of the organisation.
They will be expected to conduct applied research and evaluation projects, utilising qualitative and quantitative methodologies, applying theoretical models and frameworks appropriate to the context of the work. The BSIU also work in support of the public health incident and emergency response functions of the organisation and will play a role in supporting UKHSA's role as a Category 1 response organisation, through the provision of rapid behavioural science-related evidence synthesis and advice. This role will therefore require expertise in the behavioural and social sciences and will require the postholder to work as part of an integrated team with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
The Behavioural Scientist will join a team designing/conducting/evaluating applied behavioural research projects using a range of qualitative/quantitative methodologies including rapid research and community engagement activities during public health incidents/outbreaks. They will support the analysis and interpretation of data, undertake evidence reviews and literature syntheses, and provide timely, evidence-based advice to support operational/strategic decision-making.
The BSIU also designs and delivers behavioural and communication-based interventions informed by research findings, community insights and established behavioural science frameworks. They will lead or contribute to projects, prepare high-quality reports, presentations/publications and ensure all work is delivered to robust scientific and professional standards.
The role will require the development and maintenance of effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including colleagues across UKHSA/government departments/local authorities/academic partners and other external organisations. They will facilitate collaboration, support stakeholder engagement activities, and help identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and maximise the impact of behavioural science across the organisation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pathology Team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as Pathology Programme Manager, providing maternity cover for this key role.
The primary focus of the post will be to lead and coordinate delivery of the new purpose-built Pathology facility at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH), supporting commissioning, operational readiness and the safe transition of services into the new laboratory.
Working with the Pathology leadership team, the post holder will coordinate multiple interdependent workstreams and work closely with clinical and operational teams, Estates, Digital, Procurement, suppliers and other partners to ensure the programme is delivered safely, effectively and to agreed timescales.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced programme or project manager to play a pivotal role in one of Pathology's most significant transformation programmes.

Main duties of the job
The principal responsibility of the post holder will be to manage and coordinate delivery of the NSECH Pathology New Build Programme, ensuring key milestones are achieved and the programme remains on track.

a) Conduct a wide range of physiological measurement investigations as offered by the department including, but not limited to, oesophageal manometry, oesophageal pH impedance studies, hydrogen and methane breath testing, anorectal physiology and wireless pH monitoring.

The role of NWAS Vehicle Technician is to ensure all Trust vehicles (Petrol / Diesel / Hybrid and EV) are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA's exacting standards. The post incorporates the skilled service and repair of specialist ambulance equipment.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant must hold a recognised apprenticeship e.g. Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience along with NVQ or C&G level 3 qualifications. A full UK driving license is essential for this post along with having full category C1 entitlement.
Working in a modern workshop environment, our vehicle technicians benefit from significant levels of training, job satisfaction, and an opportunity to progress their current skill sets and CPD whilst being supported by a dedicated management team structure, ensuring our teams have everything available to maximize vehicle throughput, reduced workshop delays and minimal supply chain frustrations.
With over 1185 vehicles across the entire NWAS Fleet, each day offers variety.

Job summary
Based in one of the worlds busiest and most diverse cities, the London Ambulance Service offers a unique and dynamic career supporting people across all walks of London life.
As a qualified AAP (Assistant Ambulance Practitioner) or EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), you will provide highquality emergency and urgent care, assessing and treating patients at the scene, referring them to other healthcare providers, or transporting them safely to appropriate treatment centres when necessary.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform effectively under pressure, and flexibility when responding to a wide range of patient needs. You will be expected to uphold the Trusts core values and behaviors while delivering excellent patient care.
Successful candidates will be placed onto a dedicated Overlay Roster for a minimum period of 12 months.
The Overlay Roster has been designed to support operational resilience across London and provides additional workforce capacity where demand is highest. As a result, the roster will contain a higher proportion of unsocial hours than standard operational rosters.
Applications to move from the Overlay Roster through flexible working or reasonable adjustment processes will be considered centrally and balanced against operational requirements at the time.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide emergency and urgent care to a wide range of patients, assessing and treating patients at the point of contact where appropriate, referring to other healthcare providers where necessary, and conveying patients safely to treatment centres, hospitals or emergency departments according to their clinical needs.
Working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Assistant Ambulance Practitioner (AAP), the post holder will work independently and alongside an HCPC-registered Paramedic or other suitably qualified member of staff to provide high-quality, safe and effective clinical care, including patient transportation. All care will be delivered in accordance with UK Ambulance Services Clinical Practice Guidelines and service policies and procedures.
