Job summary
Leeds and York Forensic Services provide Low Secure Inpatient Services based at two sites within Leeds & York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (Clifton House, York and Newsam Centre, Leeds). The Forensic Service provides a high quality assessment, treatment and recovery service for people who represent a risk to others due to their mental disorder and are in need of either inpatient management, or support from a specialized community team. There are male acute and rehabilitation wards on each site and each site has a female ward. Each service focuses on patients who suffer with primary diagnosis of mental illness. Many have comorbid substance misuse and some may have comorbid personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or mild learning difficulties.
The postholder will provide medical RC responsibility for ward 2 which is an 11 bedded female ward. All patients are detained under the MHA. There is a community case load of about 15 female patients who are care coordinated by the forensic outreach team. Access assessments to the inpatient service and risk advice and management reports are conducted on behalf of the secure provider collaborative on an approximately 1-2 times per monthly basis. Referrals are received from medium security, prisons and acute mental health services within the West Yorkshire Secure Provider Collaborative footprint. Therefore the post holder will be required to travel to other hospitals and prisons.
Main duties of the job
Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an 8 PA Consultant Psychiatristin the Leeds Low Secure Female Service based at the Newsam Centre.
Duties will be in line with those of an Approved / Responsible Clinician for low secure patients with complex needs. There will be a requirement for significant liaison with other services and agencies including MAPPA, police, courts, probation etc and support with advice and opinion to general adult colleagues who may seek consultation for patients presenting with particular risks in acute services.
The post holder, supported by the MDT, will provide:
- Regular routine clinical reviews
- Flexibility to accommodate urgent clinical reviews
- Clinical input within the CPA framework
- To hold Approved Clinician status as defined within the Mental Health Act (1983) and undertake the duties of Responsible Clinician for those subject to the MHA 1983 under their care
- Complex prescribing and review
- Effective liaison and collaboration with mental health providers within the trust and the West Yorkshire secure provider collaborative, and with statutory organisations in the effective delivery of safe and effective care and risk management
- An expectation to work intensively and assertively with the client group
- To provide professional leadership

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be closely assisted and supported by the Key Lead Professionals within the Multi-Disciplinary Team [MDT] and led by the MDT discussions, they will ensure the patient has an excellent hospital experience throughout their journey until discharge.
They will be expected to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, carers, members of the MDT and external agencies.
They will receive and provide complex and sensitive information, and due to the patient groups they are dealing with, multi stranded discussions due to patient co-morbidities. There may be barriers to communication in these discussions.
They will liaise with wards and ensure the discharge list is up to date and ready for the following morning.
They will assist in the promotion of effective communication with all ward staff and other departments in relation to their role.
The post holder will have knowledge of the health and well-being of the patients in these settings and an awareness of the service. They will be educated to NVQ Level 3 plus training and experience in a Healthcare setting, Diploma level in a Healthcare setting or have the equivalent of this knowledge gained through training and experience.

This is a 12 month fixed term position for the role of Specialist Doctor in the Department of Cellular Pathology. The appointed candidate will be responsible for the clinical reporting of high volume, lower complexity cases in the department across a range of general histopathology areas. There is a departmental focus on turn around times and the timely reporting of cases. Ensure that capacity is utilised to the maximum and informing Directorate Manager/Manager of any identified issues.

We are recruiting an Automation Change Manager to join Berkshire Healthcare's Intelligent Automation Programme. This senior role will lead the Change and Analytics Team and help clinical and corporate services redesign complex processes and introduce safe, effective and sustainable automation. Pharmacy@UHB Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of University Hospitals Birmingham. We provide a pharmacy service for Queen Elizabeth and Heartlands Hospitals and are currently recruiting Pharmacy Assistants for our Heartlands site.
We provide a service to outpatients and patients due to be discharged from hospital. This varied role would involve working in the two pharmacies as the face of the pharmacy, greeting patients, staff and visitors and providing the best care possible to our patients whilst supporting the wider pharmacy team.
The role is a great introduction to pharmacy and previous Pharmacy Assistants have successfully been supported through further training to qualify as a Pharmacy Dispenser within the company. We offer an excellent environment to learn the fundamentals of pharmacy or further develop pharmacy skills. We encourage applications from those with or without pharmacy experience but experience of working with customers or patients in a customer service role is essential. Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a receptionist/administrator to join our friendly, forward thinking GP Practice in Burton on Trent. We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated person to join our reception and administration team.
You should have excellent communication skills, strong computer skills and good attention to detail. Previous NHS clerical or administrative experience is preferable but not essential, as full training will be given.
Our operating hours are 8.00am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, and you should have flexibility to work across these hours, with the ability to help cover during annual leave or unexpected absences.
Main duties of the job
The Receptionist will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, the effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner and in accordance with current policies, assisting patients as required and supporting the administration team with patient registration,
The post-holder will act as the central point of contact for patients, be responsible for the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of a Receptionist in delivering health services. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. Accurately detail information on patients records within the clinical system
b. Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
c. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
