We also carry out innovative Robotic Surgery in each of these specialities. The Bexley Wing Theatre Department predominantly carries out major elective surgery and is required to run a service for six out of seven days (Saturday working is expected). Our working hours are 08:00-18:00 but there is an expectation to be flexible around start and finish times due to the nature of the surgery that we carry out. The successful candidate must be a Registered Practitioner (Nurse Registered or Operating Department Practitioner Registered). Previous operating theatre experience is desired but not essential. There will be an expectation for the successful candidate to work in all specialities (Upper GI, Gynae Oncology, Thoracic and Robotic) in a scrub capacity, anaesthetic capacity or both. The candidate may also be required to occasionally work in other specialities to meet service demand. This will give them the opportunity to expand on their current skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
To provide and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for the Peri-operative patient. To carry out all relevant forms of care competently without direct supervision. Communicate with members of the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care and promote effective team working. To assist with the teaching and supervision of learners and other staff. The jobholder will work within an environment caring for peri-operative patients. Qualifications - Essential Criteria Registered Nurse Or Registered Operating Department Practitioner Willing to undergo further training as necessary Qualifications - Desirable Supporting Learning in Practice Mentor. Experience - Essential criteria Current issues in health care Understanding of the principles of patient centred care. Experience - Desirable Previous experience in operating theatres. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our friendly and experienced Radiology Nursing Team at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
This is a varied and rewarding role caring for patients undergoing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. You will support both inpatients and outpatients throughout their radiology pathway, including assessment, preparation, procedural care, recovery and discharge.
Our Radiology Day Care Unit supports a range of procedures including nephrostomies, ureteric stenting, biopsies, drainages and image-guided injections. The role also provides opportunities to develop specialist skills within interventional radiology, including working as a scrub and circulating practitioner alongside Consultant Radiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a busy, specialist environment and is keen to develop their knowledge and skills within Radiology.

We are seeking a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician with experience in aseptic services, technical services, or hospital pharmacy. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of aseptic preparation, medicines legislation, quality assurance, governance, and national aseptic standards.
The post holder will provide specialist technical support and leadership within Aseptic Services, promoting safe, efficient, and high-quality aseptic practice. They will contribute to the education, training, supervision, and competency assessment of pharmacy staff, supporting workforce development and maintaining high professional standards.
The role will support quality management systems, validation activities, governance processes, investigations, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), NHS guidance, and regulatory requirements. The post holder will also contribute to service development, continuous improvement, and workforce planning initiatives.
Working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, quality assurance teams, and multidisciplinary colleagues, the successful candidate will help ensure the safe and timely delivery of aseptic products while maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist technical support to ensure the safe and timely preparation of aseptically prepared medicines in accordance with GMP, QA and Trust requirements.
- Undertake technical validation of aseptic worksheets, manufacturing documentation and associated records.
- Support and maintain the aseptic Quality Management System, including audits, risk assessments, deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
- Ensure compliance with MHRA requirements, medicines legislation, NHS guidance and local policies.
- Participate in validation, qualification and environmental monitoring activities.
- Provide leadership within the aseptic team and promote a culture of quality, patient safety and continuous improvement.
- Support the education, training, supervision and competency assessment of pharmacy staff working within Aseptic Services.
- Assist in the investigation of quality incidents and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor service performance, quality metrics and production activity, contributing to audits and inspections.

About us
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

Job summary
We are looking for a Therapy Support Worker to assist the team in providing high quality therapy management for patients receiving physiotherapy and occupational therapy to maximise independence and assist with safe discharge planning.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
To work as part of an autonomous and innovative team specialising in footand lower limb pathologies.

The hospital sites offer multidisciplinary team wound care and review, musculoskeletal services and podiatric surgery.

Due to a member of our gaining NIHR research funding we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dynamic occupational therapist to join out therapy team.
This post will include inpatient rehab , Critical Care, Stroke patients, Cardiothoracic surgery, transplantation and will work closely with other Allied Health Professionals within a multi-disciplinary team model. The post holder will need excellent communication and leadership skills.

Main duties of the job
To provide highly specialist Occupational Therapy interventions to critical care, transplant, adult cardiothoracic surgery, cardiology patients within the acute, specialist hospital setting. Manage a caseload of patients with highly complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. Provide this service with a caseload of complex cases as an autonomous practitioner, demonstrating high-level problem solving and clinical reasoning skills, and independence in judgement.
To provide leadership for junior staff, through regular supervision and annual appraisal. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Occupational Therapy Service, and represent the Occupational Therapy service within the Trust.
To play a major role in the continuous development of the Trust as a member of the Occupational Therapy team and as a potential member of a range of Trust quality/process improvement project groups.
To work in partnership with the Complex Discharge team ensuring timely and appropriate discharges for patients.
