Job summary
Consultant Upper GI Surgeon
Division: Surgery and Anaesthetics
Care Group: Surgical Services
Salary: £113,565 - £150,569 Per annum/pro rata
Interview Date: TBC
The new appointment would perform these benign upper GI procedures listed together with the already employed UGI surgeon. Both UGI surgeons will cover any patients in the hospital following UGI procedures. They will be contactable at weekends for discussion about this. As a cohort of general surgeons we will look after these patients as per the on call rota.
Main duties of the job
This job plan is a 10 PA job plan for an average of 8.5 PAs for DCC (including 1 PA per week for on-call) and 1.5 PAs for SPA. There is the possibility of additional PAs (e.g. Leadership roles) being available but this is by mutual agreement with the successful applicant and will be discussed at the job planning meeting that will take place within three months of commencement.
Week 3 includes a 24 hour on call
Week 6 includes Friday evening 5pm until 8am Saturday on call
Week 12 will include on call 8am Saturday - 5pm Monday
Departmental Mortality and Morbidity/ Clinical Governance Meetings will take place on variable days once a month for half a day in place of the days usual activity.
Consultants have even equitable spread of activity.

A formal Job Plan will be agreed between the appointee, Service Manager and their lead Clinician, on behalf of the Medical Director, within three months after the commencement date of the appointee. Job summary
The Gateshead Specialist Memory Hub is an Accredited service based at Bensham Hospital. We work Mon - Fri 9am-5pm to provide treatment, post diagnostic support and education for patients with dementia as well as carer support both within the Hub and in collaboration with external agencies. We also refer and signpost to other services and work closely with our Multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team. Cognitive Stimulation Therapy is offered within the Hub.
Main duties of the job
You will work autonomously, carrying your own caseload of patients who have been diagnosed with a dementia, providing evidence based treatment and post diagnostic support both in clinic and in patients homes. Supervise student nurses and work with all members of the multi disciplinary team. Working collaboratively with external agencies. Deliver cognitive stimulaton therapy in line with NICE guidance. Complete outcome measures. Participate in audit.

Job summary
Rotational Clinical Pharmacist -Fixed term for 18 months 37.5 hours per week - Band 6 The post holder will participate in the provision and development of the clinical pharmacy service to all wards in the Trust in accordance with current Medicines Management Procedures and will work on a rotational basis. Main duties of the job
In accordance with the current Trust objectives, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that medicines reconciliations, on the assigned wards, are completed as soon as possible after admission. They will also be responsible for ensuring discharge prescriptions are dealt with quickly and efficiently, responding to medicines information queries and conducting audits
The clinical pharmacist will rotate through a number of specialities. These specialities will include medicine, stroke , trauma and orthopaedics, women and children, surgery, community and out patients.

The Diabetes centre at CHFT deliver specialist diabetes care to people with complex needs which includes running weekly Antenatal clinics, weekly foot clinics, insulin pump clinics, Transition clinics and providing excellent in-patient diabetes services. We work very closely with all the members of the multi-disciplinary team which includes Diabetes consultants, Renal & Surgical consultants, diabetes dietitians and our diabetes foot team. We are a well-established DAFNE and Insulin Pump Centre and providing integrated diabetes services, working in close partnership with our Primary Care Team. The diabetes in-patient service continues to expand in response to the increasing number of people with diabetes.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed nurse who wishes to extend their expertise in this field and be a part of this innovative service. A commitment to further learning and development is required. Applicants must be a Level 1 registered nurse. Experience in care of people with diabetes is desirable, however not essential. The role will require the successful applicant to become proficient in assessment, counselling and teaching skills. The successful candidate must be passionate about working together with people with diabetes and their families. You will also provide comprehensive, evidence-based diabetes care for people with diabetes mainly Inpatients and support health care professionals. You must be able to support the implementation of changes in practice and have the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and across disciplines and agencies. You will need to be passionate about nursing and the important contribution nurses make for patients, carers and family.

Job summary
Applications are invited for a 7-month locally employed doctor post within the department of Acute General Medicine (AGM) and Gastroenterology at the Horton Hospital. This post is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, forward-thinking trainee, who wishes to develop higher level clinical skills in AGM and gastroenterology within an active district general hospital, taking full advantage of the links held with other Oxford teaching hospitals and university institutions. The post will be for 7 months in total depending on a 3month probationary period to ensure that the job and person are the correct fit. By 3 months, we would expect engagement in a training portfolio process with satisfactory work placed based assessments, as well as supportive feedback from placement supervision groups.
Main duties of the job
The post is aimed at senior medical doctors (those who have completed MRCP) and should appeal to those who not only wish to pursue a career AGM and/or gastroenterology, but also Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care Medicine. This post is not recognized for postgraduate medical training but will allow competencies to be gained that may count towards eventual CESR accreditation or competency based CCT. The Horton is a District General Hospital in Banbury with an Emergency Dept, admitting a largely unselected medical take. It has a 16-bedded CCU that provides level 2 care for up to 4x patients. Job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly enthusiastic individual educated to HNC(or equivalent or Higher) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or a closely related scientific subject. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and experience of working in a laboratory.
Quality Control North West is part of Stockport Foundation Trust and is an NHS regional specialty department responsible for providing pharmaceutical quality control services to NHS and non-NHS clients. The laboratories at Stockport arewell equipped and advanced in analytical instrumentation and are accredited to ISO 17025 by UKAS.
Main duties of the job
- To work at all times in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Manual, Good Laboratory Practice and UKAS. All testing must be performed in accordance with established procedures to assess compliance with approved specifications.
- To perform routine chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished pharmaceutical products and environmental samples. Testing would include HPLC, GC, pH, Titration, Dissolution, Polarimetry, Karl Fischer.
- To perform quantitative and semi-quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical clean down wipes from a range of pharmaceutical and environmental origins using the LC/MS .
- To perform method validation work, and prepare validation reports for all analytical techniques as directed by senior staff and laboratory procedures.
- To perform stability studies in accordance with agreed protocols.
- To undertake validation studies and research projects under the direction of the Section Head.
- To perform equipment calibration checks and maintenance as directed by laboratory procedures
- To maintain reagent stocks within the laboratory.
- To maintain the laboratory environment in an appropriate condition, including the cleandown of surfaces and cabinets and the safe disposal of laboratory waste.

Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our friendly and supportive team at West Quay Medical Practice. The candidate will have previous experience in general practice.
This role is suitable for both experienced ACPs and those who have recently qualified.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, working autonomously to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of acute, minor, and long-term conditions. You will manage patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed issues carrying out full clinical assessments, initiating treatment plans, prescribing, and evaluating care in line with national guidelines.

Main duties of the job
Provide expert clinical assessment and diagnosis for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed, and complex health problems.
Initiate, evaluate, and review treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice.
Manage a range of acute, minor, and long-term conditions independently, referring to or liaising with GPs or secondary care where appropriate.
Undertake comprehensive physical assessments, using advanced clinical skills and decision-making.
Perform and interpret relevant investigations, such as blood tests, ECGs, and other diagnostic procedures.
Promote preventative healthcare and offer patient education, self-care advice, and health promotion.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care, continuity, and efficiency.
Contribute to clinical governance, audits, significant event analysis, and the development of local policies and protocols.
Participate in service development and innovation, supporting quality improvement initiatives across the practice.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.

About us
We are a practice of around 6200 patients, with 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses and a small team of Healthcare Assistants and Phlebotomists. We have an experienced and friendly admin team who support the clinical staff with the everyday running of the practice.
We are also supported by the local Primary Care Network and have access through this to Mental Health Practitioners, First Contact Practitioners and a team of Pharmacists.

Job summary
Are you are looking for an autonomous role, where you can continue to help shape the future of our community same day services?
Are you passionate about helping avoid unnecessary hospital admissions and caring for and treating our patients in their place of residence?
This key role within our urgent community response service supports provision of high quality care for people experiencing immediate health and care crisis and needing intervention at home to prevent hospital admission (where safe to do so).
The role provides the successful clinician with an opportunity to work within our community same day care services and help test, inform and finesse their continued development within the community.
Our same day care services currently operate on a shift basis working over seven (7) days a week 8am to 8pm, so flexible working into the evenings, over some weekends and bank holidays will be required. We are open to flexible and part time hours and the post is available part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) or full-time (37.5 hours per week).

Main duties of the job
Working with a high degree of autonomy to:
Provide a rapid respond to people in health and social care crisis situations with the aim of enabling individuals to maintain or regain independence and prevent unnecessary hospital admission.
Help play a key role in continuing to help people manage their long-term conditions, making sure they receive the right kind of support to help them remain independent and live longer and linking in with our healthcare and charity based colleagues in the wider community.
Work alongside our Community Nursing and Therapy Teams, South Central Ambulance Service, General Practice and Oxford University Hospital colleagues with the opportunity to work across many facets of Community services.
