Job summary
Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting patient care? We are looking for an experiencedMedical Secretary to join our team and provide a comprehensive secretarial service to Consultants and their clinical teams within a designated specialty.
As a Medical Secretary, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of clinical services. You will be responsible for producing accurate and timely correspondence, maintaining patient records, and acting as the first point of contact for enquiries. This is a varied and rewarding position where your attention to detail and ability to prioritise will make a real difference to patient experience and service delivery.
Main duties of the job
Provide a full audio/copy typing service to a consultant(s) and theirteam(s) of both clinical and non-clinical nature, regularly using complexmedical terminology within high volumes of workload.
Draft letters on behalf of the consultant on routine and other matters, toinclude the drafting of letters to patients following receipt of test resultswithin defined parameters.
Devise, type and distribute working rotas for medical teams whererequired.
Assist in achieving National and Local performance targets by ensuringclinical letters are produced in a prescribed timescales e.g. within 24hours for newly diagnosed oncology patients.
Arrangement of out-patient clinic appointments and processing standard correspondence to General Practitioners when patients fail to attend forappointments as well as for urgent appointments as necessary.
Arrangement of transport for patients, as appropriate for non clinicalattendance as requested by the Trust.
Arrange domiciliary visits for medical staff, where required, ensuring thecompletion of documentation for these visits to facilitate appropriatepayment.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advanced Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiographer to join the Cardiology Diagnostics team at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
The post holder will be an independent, accredited echocardiographer, delivering a wide range of routine, complex and specialist echocardiography investigations across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will play a key role in supporting safe, timely diagnosis and ongoing management of patients with cardiac disease, working closely with consultant cardiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
The Trust actively promotes the provision of 7-day diagnostic services, and the post holder will be expected to support weekend working.
The post may also be suitable for an experienced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist who is looking to further develop their echocardiography skills. In these circumstances, support will be provided to achieve accreditation, with salary adjusted in line with qualifications and experience.
In addition to delivering high-quality clinical activity, the role includes supporting service delivery, supervising and training junior staff, contributing to service development, and deputising for senior colleagues within the echocardiography service when required. All work will be undertaken in line with professional standards, Trust policies and governance requirements
Main duties of the job
Perform a full range of standard and complex echocardiography studies, including portable ward-based scans, adapting examinations to clinical indication and patient condition
Produce accurate, timely clinical reports, recognising and escalating significantly abnormal findings to cardiology clinicians as required
Participate in advanced echocardiography activity, including stress echocardiography, contrast studies, TOE support and specialist physiologist-led clinics
Work as an autonomous practitioner, exercising advanced clinical judgement in a high-volume diagnostic service
Support the day-to-day running of the echocardiography service, including prioritisation of worklists and deputising for senior staff when required
Provide training, supervision and support to trainee and junior cardiac physiologists and contribute to education of medical staff
Maintain professional accreditation and contribute to clinical governance, audit, service development and quality improvement activity
Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring care is delivered with dignity, compassion and professionalism
Ensure all practice complies with Trust policies, professional standards and national guidelines, contributing to a safe and effective diagnostic service

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the screening team based in South Tees Trust to assist in the day to day running, monitoring and development of the antenatal & newborn screening programmes. The post holder will support the Antenatal and Newborn (ANNB) Screening Coordinator to ensure a high quality antenatal and Newborn screening service is provided for all women and their families.
To achieve this theAntenatal and Newborn Screening Team work in collaboration with NHSE Quality Assurance leads to monitor the quality and effectiveness of the screening services offered in the Trust and are consistent with the UK National Screening Committee recommendations (UKNSC) and NHSE programme standards, to meet the national service specification and thresholds set (except the Newborn hearing screening programme as this is managed within Tees Valley).
There is an expectation to work clinically/operationally as required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the ANNB Screening Coordinator to (deputising in his/her absence):
Manage screen positive results across the screening pathways.Counsel women and their families in the event of an increased chance, antenatal screen positive result and fetal anomaly.Collect and collate matched cohort screening data for quarterly and annual data KPI returns.Write and present screening programme reports at local, regional and national level.Participate in audit, education of staff and guideline development.Regularly review and implement new processes/systems/fail-safes to reduce risk in antenatal and new-born screening.Support the fetal medicine service as required.Prepare for and attend relevant internal and external meetings e.g. Regional ANNB board meetings, local quarterly ANNB Screening meeting, regional fetal medicine.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a comprehensive Occupational Therapy service for clients with a wide variety of complex and multiple disabilities within the specialities of sarcoma and Oncology To independently assess and treat patients from pre-assessment stage, through the acute post-operative phase of inpatient care, including short stay patients, in-patient rehabilitation/ out-patient rehabilitation.
- This post will be part of weekend Occupational Therapy service supporting discharges from the in-patients wards.
- To work alongside OT & PT colleagues in the sarcoma service for clients with a wide variety of complex and multiple disabilities within the speciality.
- To assess and treat highly complex patients in this clinical unit (with support where needed) and contribute to service development and learning culture within team/department and students.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, forward thinking Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health Complex Care Service for a 12 month secondment.
The service incorporates inpatient rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and the assertive outreach teams.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic Team. The team is based at James Cook University Hospital but also covers the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. The team reviews patients on the acute trauma and Orthopaedic wards at James Cook Hospital and on Gara Orthopaedic Unit at the Friarage Hospital. The post will involve some pre assessment work and on occasion has some requirement to review patients in the community.
Main duties of the job
To provide advanced clinical and professional Occupational Therapy to patients on the acute Trauma and Orthopaedic wards. The successful candidate will work within the MDT, providingsupport to the senior specialist Occupational therapist and AHP Service Lead, to ensure that the wider Orthopaedic Team contributes to the Strategic plan for University Hospital Tees NHS Trust.
A key role is to undertake advanced occupational therapy assessments of patients with diverse and complex conditions and to develop and delivery individualised treatment programmes.
The post holder will be expected to have experience and knowledge of the occupational therapy management of musculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions and experience of managing patients post surgery is desirable. Successful candidates will be able to provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans to these patient groups. Relevant post graduate study, leadership training and experience is also desirable.
This post will offer development in clinical skills and the post holder will be supported to attend relevant post graduate courses. We have an established training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, clinical supervision and the appraisal process. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research and the Hospital has close links with both the University of Teesside and Durham University.

Main duties of the job
To act as secretary to the Consultant Psychiatrist and team including maintaining an electronic diary of appointments, taking messages as appropriate, drafting correspondence/replies and dealing with confidential information relating to patients and medical staff.
Contribute to the implementation and administration of computer data collection systems ensuring information is recorded accurately and on a regular and timely basis.
To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the wider clinical team including dealing with telephone enquiries, relatives, GP'S social workers and other agencies maintaining good communication between all of the Child, Adolescent and Family Services.
To maintain and co-ordinate annual leave and study leave for the Consultant with the Team Leader ensuring the service is adequately covered.
When required to maintain confidential files concerning patients' correspondence, reports and departmental matters in line with NHS procedures
To collect and submit statistical returns for the teams.
To maintain client waiting lists and type clinic lists.
To organise and minute CPA's and daily ward reviews.
To ensure that an up to date data scanning and filing system is maintained providing statistics as and when required.
The post holder may be required to process distressing information relating to service users, e.g. typing letters/reports relating to child abuse.

Job summary
Our inpatient CAMHS is expanding to include a brand-new purpose-built 8-bed High Intensity Environment/PICU opening this year at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth. Are you an established registered Mental Health Nurse either with CAMHS experience or looking to gain?
As a RMN/RNLAD Nurse, you will work directly with young people and their families providing a range of assessments and therapeutic work, adopting the Thrive framework. Our aim is to provide outstanding care, promoting recovery and wellbeing in a modern, purpose-built setting to make a difference and have a positive change on the lives of young people. We invest in supporting and developing our nurses. Supervision from a Clinical Team Lead will be provided and training will be arranged where needed.

Main duties of the job
The role will be based in the Adolescent In-patient Unit providing individual care to those within the unit in accordance with the integrated care programme approach.

An exciting opportunity to join the West Dorset inpatient Therapies Team at Forston Clinic. Your work will aim to encourage engagement in meaningful and purposeful occupation with people whose lives have been affected by occupational disruption as a result of mental illness.

To plan and facilitate occupational therapy led groups and 1:1 activities, tailored to the patient group within the framework laid down by the Occupational Therapist. To implement and evaluate delegated Occupational Therapy interventions for service users in activities relating to their care and treatment.
To support patients in the community using both 1:1 and group work.
To carry out administrative duties on the ward including taking responsibility for designated tasks.
To liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective delivery of occupational therapy. To enhance their own clinical and organisational skills to meet the needs of patients and the organisation.

We are looking for a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist to join our Microbiology Team on a full time basis.
Biomedical Scientists (BMS) are an integral part of the laboratory team responsible for the diagnosis of infection and disease processes by the application of latest scientific knowledge, coupled with the most up to date scientific methods and use of traditional methods where required. BMS carry out, and interpret the results of, laboratory tests on biomedical samples that will aid clinical staff in the diagnoses of illness and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. Main duties of the job
- To interpret clinical details and patient demographic data for the allocation of tests to samples.
- To process biomedical samples using various techniques with a high degree of competency in accordance with standard operating procedures, providing accurate and timely appropriate results.
- To accurately interpret and report timely complex analytical results, and authorise Microbiology reports according to laboratory policy.
- To communicate effectively test results by telephone, printed report or electronic report, deal with telephone enquiries, and provide technical advice to laboratory users.

Main duties of the job

Are you a trained Mental Health Nurse with an interest in Adult Mental Health? Poole Adults CMHT are recruiting Community Mental Health Nurse/Practitioners.
The Community Mental Health team provides recovery focused treatment plans for those people with severe mental illness. You will have recent experience of working in a mental health environment and be able to apply the philosophies of engagement and recovery in your work with service users and have an awareness of the Mental Health Act.
As a Community Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner, you will manage a caseload of patients and provide a comprehensive, accessible and responsive mental health service to patients and their families. Main duties of the job
As a Community Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner, you will contribute to effective multi-disciplinary working within the community mental health service and build up effective liaison with community, primary, and other secondary and tertiary services/agencies within the locality to provide holistic care based on the individual's need and service development.
You will communicate effectively in verbal and written form in the exchange of highly complex, sensitive or contentious information in difficult situations using de-escalation, mediation, resolution and professional Duty of Candour.
You will evaluate care, taking appropriate action leading to improvement in quality standards through clinical audit.

We are looking to appoint a reliable and motivated receptionist to join our dedicated administration team to support the Community Mental Health Teams at Kings Park Community Hospital. The successful applicant will work as part of a small team, supporting clinical staff and will act as the first point of contact between patients, relatives and medical staff, whilst maintaining confidentiality to ensure the department always runs efficiently.

Main duties of the job

The band 5 role is open to learning and development of new knowledge and skills in theatres recovery environment. We are seeking a Band 5 recovery practitioner who is passionate, dynamic, forward thinking, to join the team. Adult trained Candidates should be aware that it would desirable for them to be considering working a paediatric second registration in post anaesthetic role. As the department seeks to increase the paediatric recovery staff. They will be an expectation for the provision of high standards of care that is update and informed and best practice.

Our Team is very diverse and works well together. This vacancy would suit any Nurse/ ODP who is looking for a Team that can provide a high level of mentoring and support on an on-going basis. We have a wide range of social events that staff may join locally in the department and trust events that staff also access team building exercises. There is good support from colleagues and structured clinical development supported by the clinical educator.
They are also a lot of training opportunities for staff to work and rotate in other areas if they express an interest. But the main area of employment will be the recovery department.

Are you a trained Mental Health Nurse with an interest in Adult Mental Health and passionate about recovery? Shaftesbury Community Mental Health Team are recruiting a Community Mental Health Nurse.
The Community Mental Health team provides recovery focused treatment plans for those people with severe mental illness. Experience of working in a community mental health environment would be beneficial but is not essential. As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will manage a caseload of patients and provide a comprehensive, accessible and responsive mental health service to patients and their families. You will be supported in your clinical work, and professional development with ongoing supportive supervision together with an agreed programme of induction and orientation as required.
This is a full time post of 37.5 hours based in Shaftesbury and covers surrounding areas. You will need to have a valid driving licence and use of a car as you will be required to assess and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings.

Main duties of the job
You will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary team, this team is made up of a Psychiatrist, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, OT and Support Time Recovery Workers with further support of Admin and a Psychologist.
You will provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of patients / service users.
You will plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
You will provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.
You will communicate effectively in verbal and written form. A good level of IT literacy is an essential requirement.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Neonatal Unit by undertaking a range of essential non-clinical duties that help maintain a safe, efficient and well-organised environment. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, organising supplies and equipment, and supporting the effective use of resources across the unit.
You will clean and prepare incubators, cots, patient areas and parent accommodation, ensuring bed spaces are ready for new admissions. The role also includes cleaning clinical equipment and ward areas in line with infection prevention and control standards, helping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for babies, families and staff.
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will assist with stock management, equipment movements, record keeping and monitoring designated equipment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with colleagues, parents and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.

We are looking for two enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Nurses to work within our dynamic East Dorset 0-19 Public Health Team, as Public Health Nursery Nurses, working with children, families, and children 0-11 years. Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and patient focused Occupational Therapist to join our Community Therapy Team in Hoddesdon on a fixed term basis.
You will work alongside your community colleagues to provide rehabilitation, palliative care, hospital at home/unplanned therapy support, to the residents of Hertfordshire in their own homes, residential and nursing homes.
The team is friendly, supportive and works collaboratively to optimise patients' level of independence and find innovative ways to enable them to increase their functional performance.
You will work as part of the Integrated Community Team (ICT) pathways to prevent inappropriate hospital admissions and to provide therapeutic holistic assessment, support, treatment and rehabilitation of patients in their own home. We are developing closer working relationships with the Primary care networks with their frailty pathways and with other statutory services.
Main duties of the job
You will provide specialist occupational therapy intervention for your patients and able to delegate and support the OT skills of our therapy technicians
You will be able to manage a clinical caseload and to support patients with goal setting and supporting their functional performance through activity
You will ensure that there is effective patient flow through the service
You will support the rest of the therapy and nursing teams with your experience in equipment provision, effective therapeutic moving and handling, cognitive assessments and OT interventions/therapy programmes
