Job summary
The post holder will provide administrative, logistical and practical support to the Essex Sexual Health Service Outreach and Health Promotion Team, helping to ensure the effective planning and delivery of outreach, health promotion and education activities across Essex.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the team with stock control, stock audits, stock requisitions and general administration associated with outreach and health promotion activity. They will assist with maintaining accurate records, collecting and entering data, and supporting the organisation and promotion of training and events.
The post holder will provide practical support for outreach events, including assisting with preparation, resources, equipment and materials, and supporting the team during events and activities in community and other settings.
The role will require working closely with members of the Outreach and Education Team, partner organisations and other professionals to support the smooth coordination and delivery of health promotion and outreach activity.
Although this post will be predominately supporting delivery in North Essex, the post holder may be expected to support the wider service with activities across Essex. The role may therefore require regular travel and flexibility to support outreach events and activities across the county.
We encourage applications from those with backgrounds in administration, community outreach, youth work, health promotion, events coordination or working with people from seldom heard from communities.
This role will require the successful applicant to undergo a DBS check.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a one-year Fixed term contract for a Genetic Technologist with good interpersonal skills and a committed team member to join the Clinical Genomics department.Cytogenetics is part of the Clinical Genomics Department bringing together cytogenetics, translational science and molecular diagnostics and is one of the few specialised clinical genomics laboratories of cancer in Europe. The laboratory provides a diagnostic cytogenetics service for haematological malignancy and solid tumours for several NHS Trusts and Cancer Networks, as well as participating in clinical trials.
The major focus of the role will be in performing analysis of acquired genetic aberrations by G-band karyotyping and FISH. Attention to detail is essential and the post holder must be able to work to high standards, following defined protocols and assist in the production of accurate & high quality analytical results for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The successful applicant will have a degree in a relevant science subject and have experience working in a genomics laboratory.
Main duties of the job
Provide technical support for the scientific teams within the Cytogenetics Laboratory and, if necessary, in related Pathology or research disciplines.
Be responsible for carrying out G-banded karyotype analysis and FISH analysis with minimal supervision. The range of procedures required will be subject to development and the post-holder will be expected to work within all areas of the department.
Maintain a satisfactory level of competence, provide cover for absence of other staff, and assist in the training of other staff and visitors.
Undertake clerical and other support duties when required.
The post holder will report to the Laboratory's Section Heads and will be subject to the supervision and direction of the scientific staff. The post holder will be expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and reliability, and collaborate with other members of the laboratory and other departments to achieve the maximum efficiency and quality of the service provided.
The post holder will be expected to undertake an appropriate share of the department's general diagnostic workload, and may be required to work in different Sections of the laboratory according to the needs of the department. We have an opportunity for a patient focused individual to join our Medical Records and Release of Information Service working at both our Chelsea and Sutton sites. The Out of Hours District Nursing Service cover a large geographical area, which covers Wrexham and Flintshire and other border locations. The team are based in Wrexham. The service is a 7 - day service working between 18.00 - 08.00 each day.
The aim of the service is to provide a timely respond to patients, families and other healthcare professionals to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, provide advice and support when other help is unavailable.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be quick thinking, with the ability to problem solve, assess and deliver care to patients in any community setting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCSW to join the home therapies peritoneal dialysis team. This progressive, passionate team strive to support patients to self manage their peritoneal dialysis treatment at home. The role will involve management of patients attending clinics in settings, as well as home visits across Dorset and Somerset. Main duties of the job

Driving licence and confidence in driving across the geographical caseload patch is essential, as involves home visits.

Main duties of the job
As part of the Healthy Child Programme, Specialist Community Public Health Nurses and Family Public Health Nurses work within a defined locality or within our Single Point of Access, assessing need, delegating work within the team, implementing planned programmes of care and evaluating care delivered.
The role is to provide a child centred, inclusive, holistic and accessible Public Health programme to children, their families and communities, establishing links with the Early Childhood and Family Service, Early Years Settings, Early Help, other Health providers, communities and agencies (Education, School Services, Health and Voluntary organisations).
To promote the physical and emotional well-being of children, and young people, supporting them to establish good health now and in the future. The post holder will work in the Islington Urgent Community Response Team (IUCRT) as part of the multi-disciplinary team working across the Rapid Response and Hospital at Home pathways, supporting hospital discharges and admission avoidance. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Band 6 Physiotherapy rotation based at Queen's Hospital Burton, Sir Robert Peel and Samuel Johnson Community Hospitals.
The post holder will participate in the senior rotational scheme which involves working in a range of clinical settings as determined by the needs of the physiotherapy service. You will be required to work as part of the Respiratory on-call service following an induction programme. The team work across 7 days and evenings through a rota system.
Main duties of the job
Rotational opportunities will include Emergency Medicine (including Frailty), Acute Medicine, Respiratory, Stroke, Orthopaedics, Discharge Assessment Unit and Rehabilitation Wards
- To support the Team Leaders in day-to-day management of the team
- To assess and treat own patient caseload, and maintain associated records.

- To hold responsibility for own caseload, working without direct supervision. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences. Main duties of the job

As a specialist biomedical scientist, you will be a fully competent member of the department. Normally working as part of a team, you will be expected to perform a wide range of specialist clinical technical investigations. At other times you may be required to work alone and independently, for example when working on-call. Working in different sections of the department you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients. You will be expected to apply professional judgements and specialist skills to technically complex and sometimes difficult situations. Within the team you may be required to organize the tasks of support workers. You will be required to communicate highly complex information, often related to patient management and care, to colleagues, healthcare staff and other organizations.

As a specialist biomedical scientist, you will be a fully competent member of the department. Normally working as part of a team, you will be expected to perform a wide range of specialist clinical technical investigations. At other times you may be required to work alone and independently, for example when working on-call. Working in different sections of the department you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients. You will be expected to apply professional judgements and specialist skills to technically complex and sometimes difficult situations. Within the team you may be required to organize the tasks of support workers. You will be required to communicate highly complex information, often related to patient management and care, to colleagues, healthcare staff and other organizations.

Job summary
The post holder will provide inpatient & outpatient bookings, administrative and clerical support to assist the Royal Surrey County Hospital Trust in delivering a quality outpatient appointment and admission service. The focus of the role is to ensure that the Trust meets its service deliverables and national operational targets specifically across the Cardiology Department within the Division of Access and Medicine. You will be liaising with patients face to face, over the telephone and be the first point of contact at the HASTE/ Pacing clinic reception desk. You will be required to use a variety of IT systems to ensure all clinics and lists are fully utilised, including the booking of patients onto waiting lists for medical procedures, diagnostics and arranging ward based beds for patients when appropriate.
Main duties of the job
In the role of Admission & Booking Co-ordinator you will be working autonomously to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Haste Cardiology Service. You will be the first point of contact for patients making and rescheduling appointments according to available clinic and Cath lab capacity.Ensuring full utilisation of all available outpatient clinic slots and escalating to lead Cardiac Physiologists to raise concerns when patients cannot be booked within a timely manner.
The post holder will validate every patient's 18 week RTT pathway when adding them to the waiting list to ensure that procedures are booked in a timely manner.
You will also be required to ensure that test results and clinical letters are processed to referrer appropriately, in preparation for the patient's attendance so that the clinical teams can make informed decisions about the patient's next stage of treatment.
You will liaise with a variety of hospital personnel dealing with enquires from consultants and other clinical staff and you will also be required to speak to GPs and other healthcare professionals external to the Trust.
The post holder will have the ability to manage and priorities their workload whilst being able to work under pressure, and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.
