We are looking to recruit a Maternity Support Worker for the Dover Community Midwifery team on a 12 month fixed term contact to cover maternity leave.
The successful applicant will be motivated, able to work independently as well as within a team and strive to provide exceptional care to women throughout the pregnancy continuum.
PLEASE NOTE - WE CANNOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. If you hold a Graduate/Post Study work visa, you will only be able to work this role fixed term until the expiry date of your visa.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the East Kent Hospital Trust Dover community team to support the midwives in their provision of woman centered midwife led care.
This is an excellent opportunity for professional and personal development for those who want the experience of working in a flexible service. It is essential that applicants have the basic level of competency identified in the personal specification.
The successful applicant will be a crucial member of the maternityteam providing clinical support to women and babies as well asclerical, administrative, general housekeeping and other supportive roles within the midwifery service.

Risk Assessment
Job PurposeTo assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors. To carry out general cleaning duties in all areas of the hospital and to apply specialist-cleaning methods using appropriate materials and equipment where necessary.
Key DutiesClean allocated work area to the agreed standards and frequencies as detailed in work schedules
Carry our specialised cleaning tasks, including isolation rooms, theatres etc. to agreed standards.
Have the ability to follow instructions and to suggest changes in working practices
To act as a mentor for newly appointed staff, providing on job training and instruction
Occasional exposure to distressing circumstances e.g. vulnerable/aggressive patients
Wear the correct PPE and in line with IPCT guidelines
To clean using the correct method, equipment and materials.
To undertake the cleaning of all surfaces including edges, ledges, fixtures and fittings. To undertake the cleaning of all hard and soft floors using the correct method and equipment.
To clean sanitary areas using the correct method and equipment.
To replenish supplies of paper hand towels, toilet rolls, soap, hand sanitizer and hand conditioner.
Collect patient water jugs and glasses, refill and redistribute.

Adhere to the departmental colour coding policy.

Job summary
This is a post in general and neonatal paediatrics. The appointee will work alongside junior medical team. During the period wide basic paediatricexperience is gained. There are weekly Paediatric Meeting and Teaching Sessions. There are regular Audit Meetings held within the Departmentand jointly with the Accident and Emergency Department and the Obstetricians.
The Hospital Paediatric Department is based at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston and consists of one Paediatric Assistant Unit (PAU), a purpose-built Paediatric Out-Patient Department and Neonatal Unit. It is a condition of the appointment that the post holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust's locations or outreach district general hospital clinics.
The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health consists of:
o 24 bedded acute inpatient unit at Lincoln County Hospitalo Paediatric day assessment unit at Lincoln County Hospitalo Local Neonatal Unit(Level 2) at Lincoln County Hospitalo 12 bedded paediatric assessment unit at Pilgrim Hospital, Bostono Level 1 neonatal unit at Pilgrim Hospital, Bostono Outpatient clinics that are conducted both at Lincoln and Boston along with a number of outreach clinics throughout the county of Lincolnshireo Both sites also have a number of visiting speciality consultants including nephrology, endocrinology and cardiologyo Both primary sites offer day surgery
Main duties of the job
1. GENERAL PAEDIATRICS: The in-patient service is based on one the Paediatric Assessment Unit. The ST1-3 may be called out to Accident& Emergency to give advice or deal with emergencies. The Out-Patient Department is based at the Pilgrim Hospital and, depending on grade,the post holder will be expected to attend Out-Patients regularly. These sessions include Boston-based and visiting Consultants.
2. NEONATAL PAEDIATRICS: The tier 1 doctors (this post) are supervised by the tier 2 doctors (ST4 and above/Specialty Doctors) atresuscitation on the labour suite, on the post natal wards and on the neonatal unit. The unit currently takes neonates up to 34 weeks. Infants withsurgical problems and extreme prematurity are transferred to either Lincoln County Hospital or sub regional centres. Further experience ofpractical procedures will be gained.
3. TEACHING: The ST1-2's are occasionally involved in teaching Nursery Nurses, Student Nurses and Midwives.

The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary home treatment team, sharing a base with CMHT, PCMHT, VCSE, peer workers and community groups.

- Care planning for patients who are accessing the on site beds.

Main duties of the job
As a Biomedical Scientist, you will utilise knowledge and technical skills to process a wide variety of sample types including faeces, blood, sputums and swabs. You will use both manual methodology and automation to produce and interpret results for patient management. Job summary
This is a full-time (10 PA), 12-month fixed-term post for a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine. The post forms part of the ongoing expansion and transformation of Respiratory Medicine at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and offers significant opportunities for clinical leadership, innovation and service development.
The successful applicant will work alongside Consultant Respiratory colleagues to provide inpatient and outpatient respiratory care, including general respiratory and tuberculosis clinics, Respiratory Hot Clinic activity, bronchoscopy, pleural procedures and participation in the General Internal Medicine on-call service. The postholder will also contribute to departmental governance activities, including Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) processes, quality improvement initiatives, teaching and multidisciplinary working.
Main duties of the job
A key service-development component of the post will be participation in a consultant-led Respiratory Referral Triage and Direct Access pathway, complementing the established Advice & Guidance service. The pathway will support early senior clinical review of accepted respiratory referrals, appropriate allocation to general or specialist respiratory pathways, and access to relevant investigations prior to the first outpatient assessment where appropriate.
Applicants should have broad-based training in Respiratory Medicine, excellent clinical and communication skills, and a demonstrable commitment to service improvement, education, governance and patient-centred care.
Participation in annual job planning, appraisal and GMC revalidation processes is a requirement of the post.

Job summary
This is a new role created to support the multidisciplinary team at Powys Living Well Service deliver a biopsychosocial approach to the management of long term conditions specifically: persistent pain, chronic fatigue/ME, long covid and weight management issues. People referred to the service will often be experiencing multimorbidity and have complex needs. There will be a focus on reducing unwarranted polypharmacy and ensuring that any medications taken are used in the most effective way.

Main duties of the job
The Pharmacist role will be a key contributor to the Powys Living Well Service providing specialist expertise around medicines, building on the existing multidisciplinary team (MDT) members clinical expertise and supporting primary care colleagues and service users. Managing a clinical case load including agreed prescribing responsibilities.Providing expert advice on medicines and therapeutics, including specialist pharmaceutical advice and legislative guidance for the Living Well Service.Leading on policy and guideline development around medicines for the management of long-term conditions. We are seeking a team member for our Adult Mental Health Crisis and Inpatient Pathway.

This is an opportunity to work alongside other psychologists and assistant psychologists with the support of a senior psychologist within a flexible hub model whilst retaining a main base,ward identity and presence, which would be Newbridges 18 bedded male inpatient treatment unit.
The role involves working in your main ward, assessment and treatment wards as well as crisis pathway.
You will provide specialist psychological assessment and formulation to help people as they enter and leave our service with opportunity to finish short term pieces of work in the community if necessary and liaison with wider services to provide a consistent, safe, trauma informed patient pathway. You will support teams through reflective practice, team formulations and providing supervision, consultation and specialist psychological advice

The Jurassic team is part of the Dorset Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy team and covers Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Bridport and surrounding areas.
As a Speech and Language Therapist Specialist Practitioner you will be responsible for providing a community clinical service. The service sees patients in their own home, in clinics and in Community Hospital settings. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to manage the locality caseload as needed. You will be highly motivated and forward thinking.
In return, we welcome ideas of change that could contribute to creating a better service for people living with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. We offer CPD opportunities, regular supervision and peer supervision.
Main duties of the job
This post offers the opportunity to:
Work with individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions who present with complex communication and swallowing difficulties
Work closely with experienced speech and language therapists in the community setting to develop specialist skills.
Refer and attend Videofluoroscopy clinic as appropriate.
Develop skills and knowledge of working with patients with AAC.
Attend regular local speech and language therapy meetings with a strong bias to CPD.
Opportunity to supervise band 5 therapists, to work with SLT assistants and also to work with therapists from the other community SLT Teams.

The role includes to manage patient admissions, discharges and transfers using PAS, EPR and Teletracking.
