We require a Cook in our Catering Team to prepare & serve patients meals, ensuring this is carried out in accordance with the Food Safety act 1990 and the Food Hygiene Regulations 1995 and any subsequent Food Safety Legislation
Main duties of the job
1.To communicate on a daily basis with patients, nursing staff and colleagues. Contact with nursing staff may be either face to face within the hospital or by the receiving of telephone requests into the department for extra meals or special diets.
2.To receive deliveries on an occasional basis within the catering department.
3.To liaise with Manager and Supervisors daily and act upon any specific tasks required.
4.To allow new starters to shadow various duties in the department such as cooking and food service.
5.To participate in Trust mandatory training or any departmental specific training.
6.To ensure patients receive any special diets requested.
7.The preparation of buffets or hospitality requests.
8.Maintain high standards of food safety in line with Environmental Health and legislative requirements and ensure the departmental Hazard Analysis system is adhered to.
9.Preparation and cooking of the patients meals ensuring all standard recipes and
allergen legislation is adhered to.

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated HCPC registered podiatrist to join our Community Podiatry Service as a Highly specialist Podiatrist covering the West Lancashire patch on a 9-month fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about leading high-quality community podiatry services and supporting teams to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care across a range of community settings.
The post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of the clinical service within the defined area, providing visible leadership. The Advanced clinician will take high level responsibility for the triage, clinical assessments and diagnosis of highly complex health and well being needs within a defined sphere of practice. They will implement, evaluate and modify highly complex care/ interventions which they have developed to meet those needs. The Advanced clinician will provide high level care as specified below for a client group and work across professional disciplines, co-ordinating activities as required.
To work as a Highly Specialist Podiatrist with a high degree of autonomy across the multidisciplinary setting.

Our hospital undertakes all vascular surgery for East Kent, urological (including major cancer and robotic surgery) and elective orthopaedic surgery. Emergency theatre cover is provided daily. Regional anaesthesia plays a major part in our service and we support sustainable anaesthetic principles - Kent & Canterbury Hospital provides critical care services in a six bedded Critical Care Unit and a four bedded, mainly post-surgical, HDU supported by dedicated Intensive Care Clinicians and Anaesthetists.
The Anaesthetic department and the Intensive Care Unit at Kent & Canterbury Hospital are active in education, audit and research.
Main duties of the job
This post is for a Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist and will be based at Kent & Canterbury Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering anaesthesia sessions with on-call commitments, with a requirement to cover ITU. Job plans within the department are flexible.
With this 10 PA position, there is 1 PA allocation for SPA and a second PA for taking on specific roles within the department, during which there is an expectation for the successful candidate to support appraisal, revalidation and completion of mandatory training.
It is anticipated that this job plan will include cover for paediatrics, vascular, endovascular, orthopaedic and urology lists, however, the job plan can be honed to reflect individual skills, knowledge and experience.

This post, including on-call commitments, is based at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, although sessions on other sites are available if requested.Our Critical Care team boasts some exciting special interests across our three units. There's a strong focus on critical care ultrasonography, with state-of-the-art equipment supporting focused echocardiography and bedside ultrasonography. Our consultants include accredited CUSIC and FICE mentors, plus two FICE supervisors. We have high spec ultrasound equipment available on all units, and have recently successfully procured a brand-new state of the art echo machine as well as a cutting-edge echo and ultrasound training mannequin with training modules for transthoracic and transoesophageal echo as well as lung and abdominal ultrasound (including a COVID lung ultrasound module). We also have an interest in advanced ventilation modes such as APRV and Intellivent ASV, and run regular advanced ventilation workshops. Outreach and a Critical Care Rehabilitation service are well established, and we are well supported by a full complement of allied health professionals.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will work in close collaboration with Principal Investigator and Research Support Staff, to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial specific protocols.
As Research Nurse, you will play a key role in the successfully delivery of our clinical research within the research directorate division. You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to coordinate and manage clinical trials and be responsible to provide high-quality research. Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacy technician to join our lively, progressive, and dynamic pharmacy team. The successful candidate will provide a ward based clinical pharmacy technician service to our oncology and haematology patients, which will include working closely with the nurses to ensure a medicines management is maintained at a high standard on the wards and providing an individualised medication counselling service to patients.
The postholder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work across different clinical settings including inpatient wards, daycare, outpatients, and ambulatory care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be organised, motivated, have excellent communication and people skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
Registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential as well as holding ACPT accreditation or be willing to work towards it. Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
Working in a busy and dynamic Adult Community Mental Health Team means every day will be different. You will be involved in:
- Managing a complex caseload for those under The Care Programme Approach
- Undertaking initial urgent/routine assessments on behalf of the service
- Attending multi-disciplinary team meetings with our Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Consultants, Clinical Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals including Consultant Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists
- Attending outpatient clinic appointments
- Undertaking face to face visits in the community setting including home visits
- Working with service users and their families/carers to care plan holistic goal setting and engage in treatment planning and working in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders
- Medication administration (if qualified to do so) with opportunities to enrol in local university training programmes in medication management
- We also works with needs types and have many evidence based work books to enhance the Service user experience.

Main duties of the job
- To assess, review treatment, to inpatients referred to the liaison neuropsychiatry service in the Walton Centre as well as spoke units at Broadgreen Rehabilitation Unit and Elyn Lodge, St Helens and outpatients referred to the Neuropsychiatry Specialist Nurse Clinic ( follow up).
- To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring agreed interventions are employed and advise medical, therapist and nursing staff on optimal management of patients with mental health needs in general neurosurgical/neurology and rehabilitation units.
- To participate and organise sessions of education and training of management of mental health and brain injury problems in the Walton Centre and rehabilitation units.

Main duties of the job

This will include supporting parents, school staff and other professionals in all issues related to client management. Liaison with the MDT is an integral part of the role.

- To be accountable for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice from senior colleagues as appropriate

- Taking the lead within the SLT service to deliver the new non-statutory specialist service for children 4-6 years of age with a high level of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). This will involve providing a specialist service to children attending mainstream schools with SLCN and working closely with the specialist SLCN teacher, teaching assistants, parents/carers, and school staff to enable children to develop their speech, language and communication skills and to access the curriculum.

We are looking for applicants who are able to undertake 4 sessions at our Ernesettle branch. Our aim is to operate an efficient traditional GP model, providing efficient and effective direct patient care.
Main duties of the job
The Salaried GP is integral to providing primary healthcare services and ensuring the well-being of the patients across all demographics. This role involves delivering a full range of medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, to patients of all ages, managing both acute and chronic conditions. The position requires a collaborative approach to healthcare, working alongside a team of healthcare professionals to facilitate effective treatment outcomes and high standards of patient care.
In addition to clinical duties, the Salaried GP will actively participate in the improvement of medical services within the practice, contributing to practice management and decision-making processes. As a surgery, we are also open to recruiting GP trainers as we look to expand our team across the sites. In tandem with this, we are also open to the recruitment of newly qualified GPs.
