Job summary
Sessions: 4 sessions Thursday and Friday
The postholder will have an opportunity to take part in leading on key disease areas (monitoring trends in the Quality and Outcomes Framework, treatment, staff training and prescribing) and assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for a diverse, patient list (practice-based commissioning, patient participation and health promotion).
Closely supported by the practice clinical and management teams, the postholder will act as one of the GPs within the practice working alongside the practice team but will also be part of a larger multisite clinical team.

Main duties of the job
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake clinical sessions. A clinical session is normally composed of face-to-face appointments together with telephone appointments, followed by a variety of duties including queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, actioning test results, medical reports, and examinations (e.g. Insurance Companies) on behalf of the Practice. The above duties should be performed in a timely manner. Appointments will be 10 minutes duration.

- Act upon most alerts e.g, QOF and reminders during a routine consultation i.e. 10 minutes.
- Provide all GP services required as part of the PMS contract held between the practices and the commissioning primary care agency, including all core services such as Child Health Surveillance
- Undertake Duty Doctor and Paperwork Doctor duties on a rota basis.
- Undertake surgeries during extended hours in accordance with the access needs of the practice population and the contractual obligation of the practice
- Provide cross cover, where necessary and practical, at the other practices
- Respond to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral where appropriate.
- Provide appropriate preventative health care and advice.
- Provide medical support as required to patients referred by nursing staff
- Provide free certification in line with Schedule 9 of NHS GMS Regulations (1992).
- Adhere to any practice prescribing formulary, local and national guidelines.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation;
- Record clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards;
- Collect data for audit purposes;
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible);
- In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
- Other responsibilities with the Practice:
- Engaging in appropriate lifelong educational and audit activity to maintain clinical competence and performance, including the completion of objectives agreed by you and the practice, in an annual Personal Development Plan. Your Personal Development Plan must be in line with the Practice Development Plan.
- Actively participating in the training and development of nurses, medical students, and GP trainees in the practice.
- Supporting the practice staff and responding to requests for advice and assistance from the practice reception, secretarial and nursing staff.
- Attend prescribing, palliative care, clinical and practice meetings.
- You will be expected to take part in clinical meetings, be prepared to chair these and present clinical topics as required for the maintenance of educational standards and high-quality care. You will receive feedback from the partners via peer review and to act upon recommendations and demonstrate change
- Provide additional enhanced services to the practices that meet the needs of the practices patient population and maximise the income streams to the practice
- Undertake additional training where necessary to provide these enhanced services
- You are required to actively participate in Practice Based Commissioning - this will include reducing first outpatient attendances, demand management, monitoring of activity including peer review and data validation
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g., prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, annual QOF Assessment of the Practice.
- Meet all tight timescales/deadlines for audits and written returns to ensure that the Practice meets quality standards and receives the designated funding (e.g., Locally Commissioned Services returns, annual QOF audit etc.)

Post holders must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff, and other health service business in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998. Post holders must not, without prior permission, disclose any information regarding patients or staff. Information Governance

All post holders have a personal obligation to act to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). Risk Management All post holders have a responsibility to report risks such as clinical and non-clinical accidents or incidents promptly. They are expected to be familiar with The Bourne Partnerships use of risk assessments to predict and control risk, as well as the incident reporting system for learning from mistakes and near misses in order to improve services. Post holders must also attend training identified by their manager or stated to be mandatory.
Flexible Working

Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Therapeutic Radiographer to lead and develop our commissioned Radiotherapy Late Effects and Review service at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert clinical and operational leadership, supporting patients who are experiencing the long-term effects of radiotherapy while shaping an evidence-based, safe and responsive service for the future.
Based within the Radiotherapy Department at Torbay Hospital, the post holder will work closely with Clinical Oncologists, Therapeutic Radiographers, Review Radiographers, AHP's, primary care, community services and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to improve referral pathways, deliver specialist patient review and embed late effects care as a standard part of radiotherapy provision.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the clinical and operational delivery of the Radiotherapy Late Effects and Review service, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care.
- Assess, review and support patients experiencing acute and late radiotherapy side effects, developing personalised treatment plans and escalating clinical concerns where required.
- Develop referral pathways across acute, primary and community care to improve access to specialist late effects support.
- Provide expert advice, education and training to therapeutic radiographers, multidisciplinary teams and wider health professionals.
- Lead service improvement, audit, research and quality initiatives, including collection of service metrics to support commissioned provision.
- Contribute to clinical governance, risk management, policy development and compliance with professional, Trust, IR(ME)R and ISO9001 quality standards.

We are looking for a Catering Supervisor to lead the day-to-day teams in the provision of food service to both patient wards and retail outlets.

The role of GP Training Programme Director is to work with and support the Heads of School & of Primary Care Dean in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to the NHS England mandate. The Training Programme Director is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. To support the Primary Care Dean & Postgraduate Dean, Training Programme Directors will work across the spectrum of health and where relevant, social care, within the context of a team, so that the provision of education reflects changing service models. This will deliver an integrated workforce comprising individuals from a spectrum of professional and other backgrounds.
Main duties of the job
The TPD role involves working with the local education team supporting Doctors in GP Training to perform and achieve their potential during GP Training hopefully graduating with MRCGP.
The role involves preparation and delivery of teaching sessions as well as pastoral support for GP resident doctors and individuals within the GP Training Programme. There is an expectation to work within the local programme team, help support trainers and be involved in the assessment process.
We are looking to recruit a TPD on 2 sessions for maternity cover for 3 months for the Bucks GP Training Programme.
Remuneration will for 2 sessions at GP00 point of national GP educator pay scale. These sessions are usually ascribed to the educational day release which is currently held on Tuesday and as Programme Director, you would be expected to be available to participate unless on leave.
Please note although based in the local programme there will be travel around the Thames Valley region when attending development days, Trainers conferences and meetings.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
o Support and deliver a high quality clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service to patients in Community Hospitals.
o Ensure an integrated approach to medicines management and continuity of pharmaceutical care for patients admitted from primary and secondary care into Community Hospitals.

Job summary
To ensure that clinical documents are prepared correctly and scanned in for clinics and admissions as well as clinical documents not processed in the our electronic patient records .
Support the senior line management team with co-ordinating workload in the scanning bureau and health records areas. Liaising closely with the Deputy Operational Manager in supporting colleagues and junior teams.
Post holders will partake on a rota to ensure we have cover 365 days per year (including public holidays & Christmas Day) as well as a Saturday rota as applicable.
Please note this role can be physically demanding and will require candidates to access various departments across the hospital sites.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will prepare documents for clinic attendances and admissions for scanning into the patients electronic paper records so that the clinical staff can deliver a safe attendance for the patient.
Clinical documents are also required to be scanned for post appointment and admissions and any patient related documents not recorded in the electronic paper record (e.g. copies of external documents).
They will also rotate with staff in the health records library, pulling notes for clinics and admissions, pull casenotes if requested, filing of casenotes, weeding, dealing with telephone and electronic requests for staff across the Trust.

Job summary
The Trust is looking to build a reserve pool of Call Assessors for our 999 control room in Brierley Hill for vacancies that may arise over the next 12 months
**Please note, this advert is predominantly weekend & unsocial hours working only**
Applicants must be fully flexible and be able to work full rotational shifts
Full & part time positions are available - a minimum of 25 hours per week is required
Successful applicants will work within a team providing health related services to patients supported by a robust clinical assessment tool
You will be responsible for providing a high quality call handling response to all calls as laid down in national guidance and organisational procedures, through a clinically triage computer based system
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above which must include English. As part of the recruitment process you will be required to undertake assessments relevant to the post
Training for this post is completed on a pass or fail basis and applicants must be able to commit to 6 weeks full time training including 2 weeks (equating to 37.5 hours per week) of mentorship. The initial 4 weeks training is usually completed Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600 or 1600 - 0000 hours. Please note, training may be at Brierley Hill or Staffordshire.

Job summary
Applicants must be HCPC state registered and have demonstrable experience of working in a diagnostic Microbiology laboratory.
The Department has over 60 staff and processes over 500,000 samples per year. It has UKAS accreditation and is recognised IBMS training laboratory. The applicant will rotate through the all sections of the laboratory. They will be expected to examine a wide range of clinical samples from patients, to determine the laboratory diagnosis and the appropriate treatment of infection due to bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. Staff are encouraged to further their own development and assist with CPD related activities. The laboratory is well equipped and is fully computerised.
It is a full-time post 09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday; with extended working days (early 8am, core, late shifts up to 10pm and nightshifts from 10pm-8am). Participation in a weekend rota, bank holiday rota and on call once trained is expected. All weekend work is paid at an enhanced rate as per Agenda for Change.

Main duties of the job
To perform microbiological analysis of biological samples including blood, urine, faeces, cerebral spinal fluid and other clinical samples, taking personal responsibility for the quality of the results, which are used in the diagnosis, treatment and management of infectious disease, and the detection and monitoring of hospital and community-based outbreaks of infection.
Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge and competence in the performance of all tests and investigations carried out at bench level.
To make diagnostic decisions of infection and treatment options, based on microscopic findings, the analysis of bacterial culture plates, and the subsequent assessment of bacterial susceptibility tests, which requires in depth knowledge, experience, expertise and judgement.
When working alone at night or at weekends, e.g. when on call, to carry out essential investigations and make critical diagnostic decisions unsupervised, and with no on-site back-up or reference point.
To work, if required, with high-risk samples and cultures, at Containment Level 3, and to be aware when circumstances arise necessitating the move of normal laboratory investigations (Containment Level 2) to a higher containment level.
To have sufficient knowledge and competence to work on rotation in all bacteriology and serology sections of the laboratory as required.
