Working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, the postholder will help teams understand what is working, identify opportunities for improvement and translate evidence and learning into practical action. The role combines research, evaluation and organisational learning, with a particular focus on qualitative research. You will design and support evaluations using surveys, interviews, focus groups and case studies, analyse qualitative and quantitative information, develop meaningful outcomes and indicators, contribute to theories of change, and produce clear reports and presentations for operational teams, senior leaders and trustees. You will also facilitate learning sessions and help colleagues build their confidence in using evidence and insight to improve services.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a curious, analytical and reflective Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer to join our Impact and Insights Team and help shape how Jewish Care understands and demonstrates the difference its services make. You will work closely with teams across the organisation to design evaluations, gather and analyse evidence, understand outcomes and turn findings into practical recommendations. You will use qualitative research methods including interviews, focus groups and case studies, alongside quantitative data and descriptive analysis, to develop meaningful insight. You will also facilitate learning sessions, support colleagues to build their evaluation skills and ensure the voices and lived experiences of service users, carers, volunteers and staff are reflected in our learning. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about research, evaluation and improving health and social care services.
About us
Jewish Care is the largest health and social care charity serving the Jewish community in London and the South East. Every week, our services support more than 12,000 people, delivered by over 1,200 dedicated colleagues across residential care, nursing, retirement living, community support, social work, and mental health services. We provide care that is Jewish at heart, supporting older people and their families every step of the way while welcoming colleagues from all backgrounds. Guided by our values of Excellence, Integrity, Innovation, Compassion, and Inclusiveness, we are committed to delivering high-quality services where people feel valued, respected, and able to live meaningful lives.
