Job summary
Due to staffing changes, an exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced radiographers to work predominantly in CT and based at Sunderland Royal Hospitall, although cross site working is actively encouraged.
Sunderland Royal Hospital has undergone an exciting redevelopment of the Emergency Department, to provide a cutting-edge environment for patient care, diagnosis and treatment. Within the Diagnostic Hub of the Emergency Department is a state of the art Canon Genesis CT scanner, this 320 slice scanner allows for rapid diagnosis for ED and acutely unwell patients. There are two additional Canon scanners a Conon Genesis and recently a Serve SP within Radiology that are used for an extensive range of in-patient and out-patient CT examinations, including biopsies, percutaneous cryotherapy, colonography studies and cardiac investigations. The team at Sunderland is dedicated to CT only, and runs a 24/7 service.
South Tyneside District Hospital has recently installed a 128 slice Siemens go.Top, and also has a 64 slice Siemens go.All. Both are used for a range of in-patient and out-patient CT examinations, including biopsies, colonography studies and cardiac investigations. Additionally, the department has 4 dedicated X-ray rooms, 2 fluoroscopy and interventional rooms, and a peripheral site providing plain film imaging. The team at South Tyneside work across modalities during the normal working day, however they are committed to maintaining the CT service 24/7.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking those candidates with post graduate radiography experience, including some time in CT, to apply. We will consider a training post for a suitable candidate with sufficient knowledge of the modality. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to fulfil all aspects of the role of a CT radiographer, including authorisation of scans under instruction, IV cannulation, working unsupervised, and training and supporting colleagues and student radiographers.
The CT team work a shift pattern including long days, weekends (long days) and nights. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in this rota.
Additionally, there is scope for cross-site working with the dedicated CT team at Sunderland Royal Hospital this can be discussed on appointment.
Both sites have forward thinking, dynamic teams who offer experience and support. Additionally, we strive to offer professional development opportunities; recent examples include the Postgraduate Certificate in Computed Tomography, Postgraduate Certificate in Forensic Imaging and CT Colon training courses. The trust also provides excellent leadership development opportunities.
Do you pride yourself on your standard of radiography knowledge and skills? Are you enthusiastic and resourceful? Can you demonstrate compassion in caring for patients and a patient centered approach? If so then working at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS foundation Trust could be for you.

Reference: 208-C21B28-26-1
Job summary
Have you ever thought about working for the NHS?
Behind every appointment, every clinic, every patient seen - there is someone who made it happen.
Our Assistant Medical Secretaries are the unseen heroes of patient care. The reassuring voice on the phone. The organised mind behind the clinic list. The calm presence supporting patients in what can often be their most worrying moments. Without them, patients don't get seen. Services don't run. Care doesn't flow.
We are recruiting an administrator to join our Gastroenterology team at Grimsby Hospital, to cover a period of Maternity. You don't need previous NHS experience - we can teach you the systems. What we can't teach is compassion, professionalism and the ability to care about getting things right for patients. That's what we're looking for.
Main duties of the job
What you'll bring:
- A caring and compassionate approach
- Confidence communicating with patients and the public
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills (typing, email, data entry, use of computer systems)
- The ability to work as part of a close-knit team
- Calmness in a sometimes fast-paced environment
What you'll gain:
- The chance to make a real difference every single day
- One of the best pension schemes available
- Generous annual leave entitlement - because you work hard and deserve proper time off
- Structured training and ongoing support
- Genuine career progression - many of our senior leaders began in administrative roles
Patient care is at the heart of everything we do, and our administrative teams are central to making that care possible. If you are organised, compassionate, and want a role where your work truly matters, we would love to hear from you.
About us
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Partnership has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.
