Job summary
Park Lane Practice is seeking a professional and compassionate Reception Supervisor to lead and support our busy reception team.
As Reception Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for patients and the reception team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the surgery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality patient experience while supporting and developing the reception team
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will:
- Covering reception desk, answering telephone calls, booking appointments, deal with patient queries, order prescriptions, The duties are variable, depending on what is required on the day.
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Operate the practice appointment and clinical systems (e.g. EMIS) accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to patient queries by telephone and face-to-face, signposting appropriately.
- Support clinicians with requests for files, messages, calls, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure reception and patient areas are clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Coordinate reception staff duties to ensure coverage and task completion.
- Run searches, recalls, and basic audits as requested.
- Conduct and minute reception/admin team meetings.
- Act as the first point of contact for minor complaints and escalate when required
About us
Our Practice is made up of 4600 patients and a team of 2 x GPs, 2 x ANPs, 1 x Practice Nurses, 1 x Health Care Assistant, 1 x General Practice Assistant and Reception team.
This post is for 30 hours monday - Friday, with overtime when needed.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our Medicines Management team at Frimley Health.
This is a Band 4/5 progression post, designed for both experienced hospital pharmacy technicians and those looking to transition from community or other pharmacy sectors.
Previous hospital experience is not essential.
You will be supported through a comprehensive in-house training programme, including medicines management competencies, digital skills development and leadership training.
Progression to Band 5 includes Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) development, if not already achieved, and opportunities to specialise in clinical areas of interest.
Previous applicants need not to apply.
Applicants currently working in, or transitioning from, a Band 5 role will be considered at Band 5 from the outset. Successful candidates will be appointed at either Band 4 or Band 5, depending on their level of experience
Main duties of the job
Dispensary & Technical Services:
- Safe and accurate dispensing and labelling of a wide range of prescriptions.
- Rotational experience across, Inpatient and outpatient dispensing (including clinical trials).
- Chemotherapy and specialist medicines.
- Controlled Drugs.
- Automated Drug Cabinets (ADCs).
- Robotic dispensing systems.
- Satellite services such as emergency supply pathways or hospice/mental health partners.
- Ward-based Medicines Management:
- Completing accurate medication histories and medicines reconciliation.
- Supporting safe and appropriate use of medicines on the wards.Counselling patients on new and existing treatments.
- Communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
- Weekly clinical governance checks under guidance from senior Medicines Management Technicians.

The main focus of this role is to provide a high-quality business support function to the Continuing Healthcare team. Main duties of the job
The CHC Business support role incorporates having oversight of the CHC teams main generic inbox where most of our referrals and communications are received. It is fast paced and requires accuracy but also provides variety of work across the working day.
You will be responsible for loggingincoming referrals on the relevant systems, updating outcomes once patients have received their assessment. Responding to queries raised from partner organisations, i.e, social services, acute hospitals, care providers, patient representatives. You will also be part of the main business support team in answering our duty line phone calls. You will also be required to take minutes for our Dispute Panel on occasion.
Full training will be provided.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and innovative devices team at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust for a 1 year fixed term locum consultant post. Main duties of the job
This new locum post is in view of growing demand for device implants, semi-retirement of one colleague and the in keeping with the aspiration to develop new services.
We need someone who will work well within our existing team of device consultantsto enhance the existing service. You would be joining an enthusiastic team. The successful applicant will be part of a 1:17 week cardiology ward weekday on-call rota when normal activities are cancelled.

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise within the Southwest Secure Data Environment (SWSDE). SWSDE enables secure use of health and care data for research, innovation, service improvement and transformation. Working with NHS organisations, universities and research partners, it supports better outcomes and data-driven decisions.
The postholder will lead the design, development, testing and implementation of complex data pipelines, models and research-ready datasets. Working with NHS providers, researchers, technical teams and delivery partners, you will turn complex requirements into secure, scalable and reusable engineering solutions.
You will combine strong technical skills with the ability to lead complex engineering activity, solve difficult data problems and develop other engineers. Essential experience includes SQL, Python, data integration, data modelling and modern engineering practices.
NHS or healthcare data experience is valuable, but we also welcome applicants from research, public-sector or other complex, regulated environments who offer strong engineering skills and fresh thinking.
The role is administratively based in Bristol, with applications welcome from across the Southwest. Flexible regional and home working is available, with travel to partner organisations as required.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will:
Lead the design, development, testing and delivery of complex health and care data pipelines, models and research-ready datasets.
Translate research, operational and provider needs into technical specifications and secure, scalable, reusable solutions using SQL, Python and modern engineering technologies.
Work with NHS providers to understand source systems, datasets, coding, data flows and constraints.

Job summary
We are a friendly, well established and growing semi-rural general practice based South of Bath, with an ethos for a high standard of patient care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Registered Nurse to join our friendly and experienced nursing team.
The vacancy is for a Practice Nurse for 3 days per week, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday
The successful applicant will need to be flexible and willing to provide additional session cover when required.
Main duties of the job
Ideally you would have Practice Nurse experience, however we would also like to hear from Nurses who are keen to develop their skills in order to move into Practice Nursing.
Experience or a keen interest in chronic disease management would be an advantage but is not essential. We are looking for a Nurse who shares our commitment to excellent patient care, enjoys working as part of a team and is keen to learn and develop.

It is likely your daily activity will involve working in a multi disciplinary setting in terms of undertaking critical transfers via hover craft, car ferry and other cross Solent options looking after your patients for an extended period of time.
Applicants must be able to work a fully rotating shift pattern including days, lates and night shifts, 7 days a week including public holidays.
Successful applicants must be living on the Isle of Wight, or have confirmed plans to relocate to the Island, by their start date.
