Job summary
Spire Southampton Hospital are seeking an experienced Specialist Radiographer for the Cath Lab. You will be joining the temporary staffing bank, seeking ad-hoc shifts.
Main duties of the job
You will contribute to the day-to-day management of imaging quality, quality control, radiation protection and administrative functions as well as covering mainly Electrophysiology and Ablation procedures, some Coronary Angiography and PCI work is undertaken as well as TAVI once suitable competence has been attained. The Cardiac Radiographers are responsible for adjunctive imaging to include IVUS and OCT in supporting PCI procedures - full training will be provided. You will be maintaining the highest standards with regards to respecting the privacy and dignity of all patients whilst maintaining up-to-date knowledge on and adherence to corporate and local SOP's. You will act, at all times in accordance with the Society of Radiographers code of professional conduct. You will be taking ownership and fulfilling the requirements of any required statutory and mandatory training; ensuring all training courses are completed within the required timeframes. You will adhere to the local radiation rules, whilst contributing to the reviewing and reinforcing of all local rules regarding radiation protection with the broader team. Ensuring that appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment is appropriate for clinical duties within the Theatre environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are registered with the NMC within our new Specialist Outreach Psychosis Service within the Borough of Ealing. Ealing is mobilising these new services bringing together the existing Community Rehabilitation teams alongside new investment to develop an assertive outreach pathway for service users with complex psychosis who need an assertive approach to engagement as part of their clinical presentation to provide care, treatment and support.
Successful candidates will show knowledge and experience of the clinical processes and treatments that support the care of people experiencing psychosis with complex needs. They will also demonstrate experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team setting; taking responsibility for assessing need and setting up robust care plans to support service user recovery. They will be able to take a flexible, robust and persistent approach to working alongside service users and their support networks to deliver care and get the greatest benefit from treatment.
Experience of working with complex mental health needs and high risk clients is essential as well as strong skills in risk assessment, care planning and crisis management. Experience of community based and outreach working is also essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be working in a Specialist Outreach Psychosis Service within the Assertive Outreach Pathway, taking responsibility to assessing, planning and coordinating the care plan and treatment of a defined caseload of service users with complex needs related to psychotic illnesses who are difficult to engage.
The Specialist Outreach Psychosis Service is a multidisciplinary, community-based service responsible for providing on-going holistic assessments, treatment and support to clients with severe and enduring mental illness living in the community. The service will enable patients with severe mental health problems to be supported and cared for in the community in the least restrictive setting through an assertive, personalised and integrated approach to care and treatment.
The service will provide an intensive community-based mental health service delivered in service users' home environments, in the community and in supported living accommodation or other locations agreed with the service user utilising "A whole system approach" to recovery from mental ill health. The approach aims to maximise an individual's quality of life and address social inclusion by supporting engagement, encouraging their skills, promoting independence and autonomy in order to give them hope for the future which leads to successful community living through appropriate support.

Maintenance Technician (Multi-skilled (Mechanical & Plumbing Bias) Band 5 - 37.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estates team at Stepping Hill Hospital. We are seeking a highly motivated, appropriately skilled, reliable and enthusiastic Plumber/Mechanical Engineer that is able to work well under pressure to carry out plumbing/mechanical maintenance within a hospital environment.
The successful applicant will have a recognized apprenticeship and hold a City & Guilds Certificate or equivalent NVQ qualifications. The post holder will be required to undertake rostered overtime.
Main duties of the job
The post is at Stepping Hill Hospital but you may be asked to work at other sites within the Trust. Experience working in an Acute Hospital maintenance environment would be an advantage, as would familiarity with large commercial/industrial estates. You will be part of a multi trade team delivering a quality service to support patient services within the Trust.
There will be a requirement to work overtime; both rostered and ad-hoc; at short notice as required to meet the needs of the Trust and its healthcare environment. There will also be a need to form part of the on-call response team to assist our out of hours staff where required.

An opening has arisen for a time served multi-skilled technician to join the on-site maintenance team at Stepping Hill hospital.
The post holder will have operational maintenance duties including both reactive and planned maintenance to the electrical distribution and systems across the Trust's premises including specialist healthcare systems such as IPS and UPS.
You will have responsibility for systems and equipment such as the Nurse Call, Lifts, BMS and Pneumatic Tube System this will include some basic mechanical work.
The post holder will have a recognised electrical based apprenticeship, including City and Guilds and NVQ level 3 qualifications. Additional experience of Building management systems, mechanical systems including steam raising and pressure systems will be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills possessing the ability to work both as an individual using their own initiative and as part of a multi discipline team to deliver a safe and effective maintenance solution.
There will be a requirement to work overtime; both rostered and ad-hoc; to meet the needs of the Trust and its healthcare environment. There will also be a need to form part of the on-call response team to assist our out of hours staff where required.
Main duties of the job

You will also have an opportunity for CPD time, which are led by you as a group.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our integrated teams with experienced therapists and therapy assistants, who work closely alongside our nursing colleagues. There will be a requirement to travel to clinics and patients within the Community, therefore a valid driving licence and access to transport is essential.
To apply you will need to have a BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC or an undergraduate student nearing course completion (within the next 2 months). It is also open to those returning to practice.
Flexible working is possible. Weekend and evening working may be required as per the demands of the service.

The Post Graduate Physiotherapist Rotational Scheme offers a broad base of clinical experience. Staff on the Rotation will be expected to work at any of the services on the scheme.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Breast Pathway Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for an organised, motivated and patient-focused individual who can provide an efficient and responsive administrative service supporting patients throughout their pathway of care.

Job summary
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic midwives to join the practice development team as a Clinical Educators. This role will include mandatory and essential to role training, service activity, preceptorship programmes and clinical placements in line with Trust policies, procedures and national guidelines. At Queens Hospital Burton there are:

Main duties of the job
- Teach and facilitate learning of a wide range of staff from MCA's, MSW's, midwives and the multi-professional team in line with the Maternity Incentive Scheme and Core Competency Framework
- Offer clinical and pastoral support to newly qualified midwives.
- Organise induction programs for a wide range of staff and liaise with the various departments within University Hospitals of Derby and Burton(UHDB) essential to the planning of such programs.
- Support introduction of new equipment, pathways of care, guidance, assist with audit and lead on various projects.
- Liaise with the professional development teams from nursing, AHP's and clinical skills.

This will contribute to the safe and effective day to day operation of the PCN and the efficient and timely management of clinical enquiries and decision-making.
The post will sit within the GP Practices and will facilitate the interface between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services to provide specialist advice and support, assessment, treatment, education and solution-focused approaches to the local Primary Care Teams, for patients and carers.
The role will offer expertise in networking and navigation to promote ease of access to a range of specialist mental health support services. This ensures that each person, once assessed, receives the best possible care in the right place at the right time and by the right supporting service.
The post holder will be an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team. They will be professionally accountable and responsible for patient care, undertaking initial assessment with signposting to appropriate services, or providing time-limited psycho-social therapeutic interventions directly, in e.g. GP surgeries, patients homes and other primary care settings. This is a new, exciting, and innovative post to support the needs of the local population living with mental health difficulties. The role holder will fulfil a first contact specialist mental health role within GP Practices across the Primary Care Network (PCN), seeing patients who would otherwise have traditionally seen a GP. Within the primary care setting, the role holder will work in a collaborative and multi-agency way. This will contribute to the safe and effective day to day operation of the PCN and the efficient and timely management of clinical enquiries and decision-making.
The post will sit within the GP Practices and will facilitate the interface between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services to provide specialist advice and support, assessment, treatment, education and solution-focused approaches to the local Primary Care Teams, for patients and carers.
The role will offer expertise in networking and navigation to promote ease of access to a range of specialist mental health support services. This ensures that each person, once assessed, receives the best possible care in the right place at the right time and by the right supporting service.
The post holder will be an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team. They will be professionally accountable and responsible for patient care, undertaking initial assessment with signposting to appropriate services, or providing time-limited psycho-social therapeutic interventions directly, in e.g. GP surgeries, patients homes and other primary care settings. This will include providing clinical advice to GPs such as specialist opinion.
The post-holder will manage their daily clinics and act as a specialist advisor to GPs, fulfilling a pathway management function and providing short term interventions and support, in collaboration with GPs and other practice based mental health workers.
You will support the establishment of partnerships and networks with key stakeholders across the PCN and the wider mental health care system. You will offer advice to, or obtain advice for, the Primary Care Team on appropriate interventions and on-going patient care management.
You will develop links and foster a culture of partnership between Primary Care Teams and Mental Health Services, promoting clear communication and access to specialist knowledge and advice. This will include the facilitation of joint working with PCN, Secondary Care providers, and Voluntary Care Sector to increase the range of services/interventions available to the communities served.
You will provide clinical advice, consultation, and support to other care providers within primary, secondary, voluntary and statutory services as required.
You will collate and organise contemporaneous information about opportunities and resources in the local area which may be of benefit to patients referred to the service (e.g. voluntary and community organisations, educational and recreational opportunities).
The role includes facilitating sign posting to other appropriate services and undertaking very short-term interventions for patients with mild to moderate mental health difficulties (average length of time expected to be 6 weeks). Working alongside the PCN staff which could include a care coordination team and a social prescribing link worker.
In line with the principles for community transformation, you will ensure systems/pathways are in place to enable smooth transition between primary care and secondary mental health services.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists to join the North Home-Based Treatment Team.
This dynamic and driven multi-disciplinary team offer an alternative to psychiatric hospital admission, supporting service users in acute mental health crisis in their homes, as well as supporting loved ones and carers during this period.
The team are passionate about providing person centred care, tailoring care plans to suit the needs of all individuals involved during the care spell and providing a range of psychosocial interventions during their admission.
The team are required to thoroughly risk assess situations and have access to a supportive leadership team to support such complex cases.Staff wellbeing and development is paramount and well supported in this team. Full supernumerary induction is provided for the first 4 weeks in post.
The post holder will be supported with their professional development as part of their appraisal process, and regular 1:1 supervision is provided. The post holder may also like to become actively involved in potential service development projects as part of their role.
The team operates a 24/7 service, therefore there will be a requirement to cover shift work.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will undertake collaborative care planning with service users and their carers.
- Undertake risk assessment and record risks in line with the trust policy
- Undertake shift co-ordination when allocated to do so.
- Participate in Multi-disciplinary Team(MDT) and agree plans with patients in relation to their care.
- Maintain their knowledge of evidence based home treatment interventions and deliver these interventions in line with service use care.
- Undertake collaborative care planning with services users and their carers.
- Undertake gatekeeping assessments to ensure service users are treated in the least restrictive environment.
- Undertake allocation of shift co-ordination.
