Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team at Huntcliff Surgery for 22.5 hours per week.
Based in the Victorian seaside town of Saltburn by the Sea, Huntcliff is a busy, forward thinking training practice caring for a growing population of approximately 10,000 patients.
Our vision is to provide high quality, safe and personalised care, combining the values of traditional family medicine with modern, proactive primary care. We place patients at the heart of what we do, with a strong emphasis on prevention, continuity, supporting people to manage their own health and providing timely access to the right care.
We are looking for someone who shares our values of kindness and respect, integrity and teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement, and who wants to play an active part in the ongoing development of our practice.
Main duties of the job
Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will use advanced clinical assessment and decision making skills to assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a range of acute and chronic conditions, both within the practice and through domiciliary visits where clinically appropriate.
You will work collaboratively with our GPs and wider multidisciplinary team, independently prescribing within your scope of practice, interpreting investigations and referring appropriately where further specialist care is required.
The role will include health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management, alongside opportunities to contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and the review and development of clinical policies and pathways.
We are looking for a confident and compassionate clinician who values both professional autonomy and collaborative working and who is committed to delivering excellent patient care.
About us
Huntcliff Surgery is an established and successful training practice situated in the heart of Saltburn-by-the-Sea.
We have a list of approximately 10,000 patients and a multidisciplinary team of GPs, advanced and practice nursing staff, healthcare professionals and an experienced reception and administration team.
We want Huntcliff to be a place where patients receive excellent care and where people enjoy coming to work. We value respect, openness, teamwork and personal responsibility, and encourage everyone within the practice to contribute ideas and identify opportunities to improve the way we work.
Continuous improvement and professional development are important to us, and we support our clinicians to develop their knowledge, skills and areas of professional interest.
For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team while having a genuine voice in the continuing development of the practice.
Informal enquiries and visits to the practice are warmly welcomed.
**We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible **
Please note: Huntcliff Surgery is unable to offer Skilled Worker sponsorship for this vacancy. Applicants must therefore already have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship for this role.
