Job summary
Elm Lodge Surgery is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Operations Manager who is passionate about working as part of our team to provide excellent patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a key part of the practice leadership team and will share our vision of excellent patient-centred care.
You will have experience leading high performing teams with compassion.
Your main role will be taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the surgery reception and administration team.
A high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion and tact is required.
Experience of working in a GP surgery is essential. Support and training for the role will be provided.
The successful candidate will be expected to work fixed hours including some 8am starts and some 6:30pm finishes. The surgery is open Monday to Friday.

We are a GP Partnership in Dulwich (SE24) with high patient satisfaction and outstanding health outcomes.
The surgery team is experienced, with many of our colleagues having worked at Elm Lodge for over 10 years. We are welcoming to new team members.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to abstract, analyse and accurately code clinical information from patient records (paper and electronic) across all specialities using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 Classifications in accordance with National Standards and the Trust's Policy and Procedures guidelines. The role requires the successful candidate to produce consistent, accurate, complete and timely coded clinical data, for use by the Trust's Finance Department among others and to meet increasingly demanding deadlines whilst maintaining accurate coding at all times.
Our source documentation for coding is a mix of electronic and some paper documents, with an emphasis on moving towards a fully electronic patient record.
Applicants are required to:
Possess the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) UK or be working towards it
Have experience of using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications (current version) in an acute hospital setting

Job summary
The Rycote Group are seeking a salaried GP on a 6 month fixed-term basis, to provide maternity cover at The Chiltern Surgery. There is the prospect of a longer-term appointment if this suits both parties. You will join a friendly and committed team based in the idyllic village of Watlington, South Oxfordshire. For reasons of continuity, we welcome applicants keen to work 5 sessions or more.
Nestled in at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, there is beautiful countryside on the doorstep, and excellent road links via the M40. Watlington is a historic market town, renowned for its thriving independent high street, and is a great place to live and work. This is a two site practice of approximately 8000 patients. GPs will have a primary base with their own patient list.
Our long-established Thame partnership consists of five GP partners and a managing partner. We are at an exciting time, having taken on the running of Chalgrove and Watlington surgeries this year. We have made several new GP appointments with the aim of creating a sustainable and supportive team. There are opportunities for those joining to shape the future of service provision.
The Rycote Partnership has a long history of teaching and training, and we offer mentorship to salaried colleagues, with additional support for newly qualified GPs. Watlington is a training-approved site, and we would encourage GP trainers and aspiring trainers to apply. Watlington will be hosting graduate entry Oxford medical students from 2026.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will exercise professional autonomy and clinical judgement in delivering high quality evidence-based care. You will take a pro rata share of routine and urgent clinical work, duty doctor, on-call and enhanced access commitments.

We offer a mix of telephone, face-to-face and online consultations bringing together the best of the old and new.
Watlington and Chalgrove are approved training practices, with opportunity for a GP trainers and for teaching medical students.

Job responsibilities
Clinical Care
Provide appropriate care in the assessment and management of patients with a full range of healthcare problems including acute illnesses and chronic disease management.
Work autonomously but in partnership with the clinical, reception, administration and management teams.
Assess patients with undifferentiated healthcare problems
- Take responsibility for assessing and managing patients, prioritizing clinical need, determining differential diagnosis and initiating appropriate holistic, evidence based care in accordance with practice, national and ICB guidelines
- Become the usual doctor to a defined group of patients on a pro rata basis with sessional commitment
- Consult at times required by the practice and in keeping with other GPs provide both face to face / telephone consultations and home visits when required
- Record all consultations on a contemporaneous basis
- Whenever possible adopt a structured approach to record keeping e.g. using appropriate clinical care templates
- Maintain the clinical record in an optimum form including an up-to-date list of active clinical problems and medication
- View and respond to laboratory and imaging results for own patients on the day of receipt
- Respond to prescription requests / complete medicines management tasks on the day of receipt in accordance with local / national guidance

Participation in teaching and training
The Rycote practice places a strong emphasis on both undergraduate and postgraduate education, having been a teaching and training practice for many years. We currently have four GP trainers and Thame hosts GP registrars from both the Oxford and Aylesbury schemes. We are unique in taking both 5th year and 1st year graduate-entry course (GEC) medical students from Oxford and occasionally students from other medical schools. We aim to develop teaching and training across all three sites.
All GPs assist in their education and supervision of allied health professionals, such as nursing and ARRS teams as required.
Meetings and Administration
Salaried GPs are invited to participate in and contribute to the Rycote management agenda at all practice-wide meetings including

We currently have four GP trainers and Thame hosts GP registrars from both the Oxford and Aylesbury schemes. We are unique in taking both 5th year and 1st year graduate-entry course (GEC) medical students from Oxford and occasionally students from other medical schools. We aim to develop teaching and training across all three sites.
All GPs assist in their education and supervision of allied health professionals, such as nursing and ARRS teams as required.

Job summary
An opportunity has opened up at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT) for two Highly Specialist, BSE-accredited Echo Cardiac Physiologists or Scientists to join our team. These roles would be ideal for physiologists or scientists looking to take the next step in their career or who are already established at this level but would like a new challenge.
The Cardiac Investigation Unit (CIU) relocated in March 2023 to a larger, refurbished department which has afforded us with new clinic rooms (including 2 dedicated echo & 2 multifunction echo rooms), admin spaces and staff areas. We also run echo clinics out of the Community Diagnostic Centre in central Salisbury.
We regularly review our Philips echo modality portfolio which now comprises of 6x EPIQ (2x at CDC), 1x Affiniti and 1x Compact 5500. All our echo rooms on-site at Salisbury District Hospital comply to BSE standards, with each additionally having height adjustable reporting desks for ergonomic adjustment. We allot 50 minute slots per TTE, going out to 1 hour for training scans.
At SFT we have an excellent track record of supporting continuing professional development (including professional exams) and further academic study. We also seek to have representation at national and regional meetings. SFT is in the process of applying for departmental BSE accreditation.

Main duties of the job
At SFT we perform transthoracic echocardiography with physiologist-led stress (exercise) echo and bubble studies. We also participate in stress (pharmacological) echo, contrast echo and TOE. In the future we hope to perform all echocardiography within the CIU department.
The post holder would be expected to provide support to another area of the CIU service, be that non-invasive, PCI or CRM, and this would be agreed with the individual based on past experience and service need.
At SFT we perform coronary angiography and intervention, providing a Primary PCI service during normal hours. There is also a full non-invasive service including exercise testing (including alongside Radiology for perfusion scanning), tilt testing ambulatory monitoring and ECG. We also have a full CRM service which includes pacemakers, ICDs (including S-ICD), CRTs, conduction system pacing and ILRs.
At this level you would be expected to participate in aspects of service management including quality assurance, service planning, workforce planning, appraisal, and daily supervision, in support of the Lead Echocardiographer and Head of CIU.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly centralised team of administrators to provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical service in support of the multidisciplinary team, in all areas of the Maternity and Neonatal services.
The successful candidate will have good, up-to-date IT skills and experience of using Windows based PC applications while being person-centred in their interactions with patients and staff.
We are looking for a person who is able to work within a team and also enjoys lone working and has experience of working with the general public in an administration role, preferably within a health care environment. They will need to adapt to meet the needs of the working areas which include our Antenatal Clinic reception, Birth Centre reception, Labour Ward, Postnatal Ward, Day Assessment Unit, Neonatal Unit and associated back office functions.
This full time role requires working a mixture of rostered shift times of 08:00am-16:00pm and 10:00am-18:00pm and includes weekend and bank holiday working.
