Whether you're completely new to offender healthcare or looking for your next challenge, joining Spectrum will give you an excellent opportunity to expand your nursing skills and develop your clinical practice.
As a Registered Nurse (Band 5), you'll be an integral part of our Primary Care team, supporting some of our most vulnerable patients and planning care for people with complex and challenging health needs. You'll be confident in all aspects of primary care delivery - including undertaking health assessments and performing diagnostic tests - and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of our service.
We're looking for a candidate with lots of energy and an enthusiastic, "can do" attitude. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll be working closely with Mental Health and Substance Misuse services to optimise on-site care and you'll need to form working relationships with a wide range of partners.
In Spectrum, we don't believe in 'standing still'; we want our nurses to challenge existing practice and have the courage to innovate for the good of our patients, so that we can keep on improving. In return, we'll encourage you towards further training and help you to achieve your goals.
The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.
Main duties of the job
In conjunction with the management team contribute to and deliver a comprehensive Health Service in partnership with mental health and key stakeholders as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the prison setting. The role of the Registered Nurse is to undertake health assessments, administer medication and treatments, perform diagnostic tests as appropriate and to provide and evaluate a range of health interventions to meet prisoner health and social care needs. The post holder will be required to work flexibly across the service to provide responsive, evidence based interventions working alongside physical, substance misuse and mental health clinical teams. Demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options to provide primary care within the prison preventing transfer to outside hospital where possible The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced practitioners to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, specialising in work with Older Adults. Job summary
The Respiratory Nurse Specialist will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to adults with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. The post-holder will work autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver expert assessment, clinical interventions, education and support across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. They will play a key role in the management of conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, oxygen therapy management and respiratory failure.
The role includes supporting early discharge schemes, reducing hospital admissions, leading nurse-led clinics, and promoting self-management. The post-holder will contribute to service development, clinical audit and education of staff, patients and carers.
Main duties of the job
Provide specialist respiratory assessment, diagnosis support, and evidence-based interventions for patients with complex respiratory conditions.
Lead and manage nurse-led clinics (COPD, asthma, drug trials, 6MWT.).
Deliver timely interventions to support early discharge and prevent avoidable admissions.
Carry out advanced respiratory assessments, including spirometry, peak flow monitoring, oxygen saturation assessment, and inhaler technique reviews.
Initiate, titrate and evaluate oxygen therapy in line with national and local guidelines.
Provide expert advice on the management of acute exacerbations and chronic disease symptoms.
Support patients with long-term condition management, self-management plans and personalised care planning.
Work collaboratively with the wider MDT including respiratory consultants, physiotherapists, pharmacists and community teams.
Educate patients and families regarding disease management, inhaler use, lifestyle changes and treatment plans
The role also includes outpatient clinics for nebulised antibiotics, and biologic therapies for severe asthma, as well supporting with our sleep service.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual to influence and contribute as part of the Domestic Services Team at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
Domestic Assistants are important members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital. The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment however full training will be provided and all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services .
All post holders will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
The rota for the position is a 2 week working pattern as follows:
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 10am until 8pm
Week 2 - Wed, Sat, Sun 10am until 8pm
Main duties of the job
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the hospital environment.
They will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of the situation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a new Lead nurse for SACT (chemotherapy) within CDDFT. We need someone who can demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated HCA, to work within a forward thinking organisation that delivers a patient centered approach to supporting a diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea on patients as well as General Respiratory patients.
There are approximately 8,000 patients established on treatment for Sleep disordered breathing within the County Durham and Darlington area.
As a member of the sleep service you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of sleep disordered breathing to enhance the care that patients receive. This includes being able to provide life style advice, offer DVLA guidance and answer queries related to sleep disordered breathing.
This role will be predominantly hospital based at both BAH/UHND. You will be responsible for direct patient care and HCA led clinics both on a 1:1 and group capacity, telephone clinics for reviewing patients established on treatment. There is also an expectation to safely offer patient initiated follow up where necessary and liaising closely with other members of the sleep service.
You will also support the Respiratory Nurse Specialists within the Hospital Setting.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve both direct and indirect patient contact. You will work closely with the other members of the sleep service and relevant members of the MDT.
The service consists of both face to face and telephone reviews for both new diagnosis of patients and reviews of those established on treatment. It will also involve distributing new equipment, educating the patients and trouble shooting a variety of potential problems.
You will be responsible for supporting the senior sleep nurses with group sessions which include delivering a presentation to a small number of same sex patients and commencing treatment.
There is also the requirement to answer telephone and email concerns from patients and liaise closely with other members of the sleep service.

The successful applicant will be joining a diverse and highly skilled team of programme & project management professionals within Digital Data & Technology Services (DDTS), working in a busy, rewarding and challenging environment.
You will lead either large complex projects or a smaller programme. DDTS manages a wide portfolio of complex and often high-risk projects and programmes. This role plays a critical part in managing inputs and building strong relationships across the business throughout the full lifecycle.

Main duties of the job
As a Programme Manager, the post holder will lead the delivery of complex, high-value projects and programmes aligned to NHSBT's strategic objectives, ensuring successful outcomes and benefits are delivered within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters. The post holder will:
- Lead the scoping, definition, and planning of complex projects and programmes, translating strategic objectives into clear delivery plans.
- Be accountable for the full programme/project lifecycle, applying NHSBT standards and P3M methodology to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality requirements.
- Manage allocated financial, human, and technical resources to achieve programme outcomes and strategic objectives.
- Lead day-to-day programme delivery, including planning, budgeting, risk and dependency management, business readiness, lessons learned, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide structure, visibility, and focus across delivery activities, supporting progress in complex environments.
- Drive the identification, tracking, and realisation of programme and project benefits, ensuring measurable value and strategic impact for NHSBT, donors, and patients.
