The holder is expected to be able to be competent to independently provide diagnostic cellular pathology reporting service as part of a team respectfully and in cooperation with consultant cellular pathology colleagues and associated staff.This post has arisen to service increasing workload. The post holder/s will join a team of 7existing Consultant Cellular Pathologists. The department is ISO 15189:2022 accredited. The department receives approximately 30,000 histology requests (42,000 specimens), 2000 Non-gynae cases. The department ceased to participate in cytological cervical screening in December 2019 in line with national initiatives.
There have not been hospital autopsies for two years. Coroner's autopsies are performed by the Corners pathologist. Work is allocated according to Royal college workload units determined by available direct clinical care sessions in individuals agreed team job plans.The department has moved to a partially subspecialist model and work is allocated to individuals according to their required number of daily units and a pre-circulated rota. This is derived from two sources: firstly, specialist work, and secondly this is supplemented by general histopathological reporting material according to remaining point capacity.
Main duties of the job
The specialist areas in the department include: Renal Pathology, Dermatopathology, Uropathology, Respiratory Pathology, head and neck pathology, Gynaecological pathology, Non -Gynae Cytology. It is anticipated that the post holder will support and have or be prepared to develop an interest in Dermatopathology, Gynaecology and Gastro Enterology and Uropathology and provide support for Respiratory pathology. Support for Non-gynae Cytopathology would also be welcome but other areas of interest will be considered. It is also expected that the post holder will participate in the service and training requirements of the Cervical Screening Programme for the reporting of Histology specimens. The partial subspecialist model is better suited to those with wide experience in histopathology. Following restructuring the main laboratory and processing facilities are at Epsom General Hospital. A satellite lab supporting the renal service, frozen sections, autopsy service, and cytopathology service is located at St Helier. The Skin Immuno fluorescence service is also provided at the St. Helier site.

An exciting opportunity has risen for a fixed term, 10 PA consultant psychiatrist post at the Channi Kumar Mother and Baby Unit, at Bethlem Royal Hospital. The successful candidate will work with other multidisciplinary members of the Mother and Baby Unit and linked perinatal community services across South London and Maudsley and The South London Partnership, as well as nationally, to deliver high quality, safe, excellent, evidence-based care. The Channi Kumar Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) is a world renown local and national, 12 bedded acute psychiatric ward, that provides multi-disciplinary specialist care for women aged 18+ who are pregnant (third trimester) or have a baby under one year and are experiencing moderate to severe mental illness. Women aged 16-18 may also be admitted with CAMHS support.
It was established in 1981, is a regional and national inpatient service within the Operations Directorate of Psychological Medicine and Older Adults at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). It works alongside linked Community Perinatal Mental Health Teams serving Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, and Croydon, and their associated acute hospitals (St Thomas's, King's College Hospital, University Hospital Lewisham, and Croydon University Hospital).
Since 2023, the MBU has been part of the South London Partnership Perinatal Provider Collaborative, a partnership between Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, SLaM, and Southwest London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLStG).

Job responsibilities
The post is to work alongside another consultant. The caseload and clinical responsibility will be split equally between the two consultant psychiatrists. The consultant psychiatrist has the overall responsibility, to lead the overall care of the patient and their baby and family, integrating biological, psychological and social aspects of assessment, investigations and treatment. The post holder will work alongside the multidisciplinary team including co- consultant psychiatrist, psychologist (adult and developmental), nurses, nursery nurses, occupational therapist, social worker, team manager, operational team in PMOA and administrative staff. The post holder will also work alongside the local and more national community perinatal mental health teams, maternity services, general psychiatric liaison, other secondary mental health services, local authority and partner agencies. The MBU provides both local and national services to mothers who have a range of psychiatric disorder, diagnosed during pregnancy, or the postpartum period, up to the infant being approximately one year old. The community psychiatrists also see some women are seen for preconception advice, when they have past history of moderate to severe mental illness and want to conceive and require possible advice on their risk of relapse, their care, their medication plan and the potential impact on the developing foetus. Women in the community perinatal teams are screened in the antenatal period in the maternity hospitals and those with a moderate to severe mental illness are assessed, and treated throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period.
Women admitted to the MBU are either in the last trimester of pregnancy or post partum up the baby being 12 months old. Women have a range of moderate-severe mental health and psychiatric difficulties, from mood disorders, severe mental illness, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, personality disorders. There may be comorbidities including the need to assess neurodiversity, a growing area. There may be risk to themselves or to others including the baby, which the consultant will need to lead the assessment of. There may be bonding and parenting difficulties for the index mothers/ parents. The unit supports the entire family unit and the diversity of parenting. The women are from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds. Average length of stay is about 8 weeks and can vary.
Following assessment new patients are allocated to the Consultant; where patients are reviewed by the consultant and relevant members of the multidisciplinary team. Patients can access specialist input from psychiatrists, perinatal psychological therapies, developmental psychology, couple and family work, nursing and nursery nurse, occupational therapy activities, ward based social workers. The postholder may be required to see patients on other wards, in the community, other hospitals, or in the home environment, as part of the inpatient admission.
The team has an 0.5 session senior resident doctor and a full-time resident doctor, who will be clinically supervised by the consultants. The post holder must have an educational supervisor portfolio to be considered for educational supervision of other residents in the trust, and will provide clinical advice to the resident doctors as required.
The post holder will regularly update their knowledge and skills in the use of psychotropic medication during pregnancy and breast feeding. The post holder will also have good psychological therapy skills to support the work on the unit. They will also contribute to, and when needed lead, multiagency working and the importance of safeguarding issues related to the unborn child and the baby. The postholder will be required to undertake including Mental Health Act assessments on the MBU and in the community. There will also be attendance at Mental Health Act Tribunal and attendance at Family Courts as needed. Our multi-disciplinary team of staff provide a high level of clinical care to patients across the Yorkshire and Humber region, using telephone communication systems. Our clinical staff are highly skilled in the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, supported by computer-based decision-supporting tools.
Training
You will commence your role on a training contract until successful completion of your training, following this you will then be moved onto a permanent contract. Training will be 7 weeks full time.
We do not have any homeworking opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, we offer a high standard and professional service to our patients, supporting them by providing high level, evidence-based care, where necessary signposting to the most appropriate service or care provider including, ambulance dispatch and the wider community based services.
As part of working within the IUC team, you will be offered training and support into the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, with opportunity to progress and develop professionally through a verity of CPD opportunities. Telephone triage will support your on-going accreditation.

This post consists of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), annualized as 8.5 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1.5 Supporting Clinical Activities (SPA). This is an appointment by the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with license to attend at Imperial College NHS Trust. The post holder must hold full MRCP and a certificate of completion of training (CCT) in Rehabilitation Medicine. We welcome application from trainees in Rehabilitation Medicine who are approximately 6 months from CCT.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will join two consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine and a team of neurologists as part of a friendly and reputable service that works across Hillingdon Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to provide seamless transition for patients from tertiary care into secondary care and community services. This post provides an excellent opportunity to provide high quality neurological rehabilitation care for patients with spinal cord injury, in a busy District General Hospital or in a tertiary setting at Imperial. 6 of the DCC PA's will be based at the Hillingdon site and 4 PA's will be based primarily at Imperial.
The post holder will provide consultant input to the London Spinal Cord Injury Network and the Major Trauma Network in North West London. The post holder will be responsible for improving the care of spinal cord injury patients needing rehabilitation in the North West London sector. There is scope to develop integrated care across secondary and community services in partnership NW London ICB. This will involve linking with community teams and outreach visits to community settings.

This is a full time Consultant post in General & Adult Psychiatry in the community covering the area of Chelmsford West.
This post has been formed following the transformation of services whereby community mental health teams have been re-established and the teams are closely aligned to the primary care networks. This post is based at the C&E Centre in Chelmsford.
This post provides community services for patients referred to the secondary mental health services from GP surgeries in the Chelmsford west Area of 5 GP's -Chelmer Medical Partnership (formerly Melbourne House Surgery, Humber Road Surgery and Tennyson House Surgery) Dickens Place Surgery, The Writtle Surgery. The post holder will work with Chelmsford community Team. The team covers the Chelmsford area.
There are two other Consultants who work with the Chelmsford team. It is expected that the three Consultants will work together to provide clinical leadership to the team as well as promoting true multidisciplinary team working.
Main duties of the job
The consultant will have responsibility for the clinical care of the patients who are deemed to require secondary mental health intervention and will be expected to work closely with the team manager to ensure the provision of an effective service.
The PCN teams are also being established and the consultant will be expected to provide input into the team to support them.
The post-holder is required to work independently and accountably as part of a team of clinicians offering Mental Health services. Working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team in delivering services; providing a 7 day a week, 24 hours a day service for 365 days a year.

Job summary
We are looking for a new Trust Grade doctor to join us at NUH within our Stroke team, at CT3+ level . The post is available for 12 months initially with the possibility to extend if mutually agreed.
This role is for you if you have full MRCP plus experience in specialities including Geriatric Medicine, Neurology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics or General (Internal) Medicine and to those who intend to make a career in Stroke Medicine.
There will be opportunities to undertake audits, to be involved in governance activities and to take part in service improvement projects to enhance your CV. There is also the opportunity to get involved in seeing patients in the TIA clinics and receiving potential Stroke patients in EDThe post will be working across all stroke areas particularly on the hyper-acute stroke admissions ward, providing support and advice to junior doctors, as well as the ED team.
NUH stroke services also provides 5 days a week 0800-1700 hrs Mechanical Thrombectomy service for the East Midlands .

The Stroke service is across the two sites, both City hospital & QMC and consists of a hyper-acute ward, and acute ward based at QMC and rehabilitation ward at City campus, as well as a daily Fast Track TIA clinic. We had 1800 admissions to our stroke unit last year, with a further 600 patients reviewed at the TIA clinic.

The post is based in the city of Norwich, alongside colleagues covering the northern part of the locality at the main base of the Youth team in the locality.
Main duties of the job
To work with the multidisciplinary team, including Psychologists, Nurses, Therapists and Allied Health Professionals in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of referred patients; take part in team meetings, supervision and the development of the team. Working within the South Central Norfolk Youth team, the post holder will undertake, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in emergencies and unforeseen circumstances and to be available for such irregular commitments outside normal duties as are essential for continuity of patient care which will on occasion involve seeing people at home and allowing time for 'hard to engage' children and families. Job summary
The National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme has been successfully rolled out across the UK over the past decade and is now well established. The programme is recognised for its role in reducing deaths from bowel cancer by 16%.
Due to the continued development and expansion of the service, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic nurse to join this exciting and fast-paced team.
The main purpose of your role will be to assess participants' suitability for colonoscopy, provide information and support throughout the screening process, and communicate results. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service and maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
You will also be required to attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and work closely with health promotion teams to improve screening uptake and promote inclusivity.
You should be able to work independently and autonomously across Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, while benefiting from a supportive team environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential. You must also be able to work flexibly, as our screening lists may operate seven days a week.

Main duties of the job
- This role will include the delivery of nurse-led and virtual clinics, within the community of Luton and Bedfordshire.

We have a long term locum post available for an experienced Senior Registrar in Paediatrics.
Our client is a prestigious private hospital group based in the Harley Street region of London, opening a new Paediatric Unit.
Start/End
This post will run from the end of March or beginning of April with no set end date, this is an ongoing locum post and therefore require a doctor who can commit long term, or, 2 to 3 months at a time.
Shifts are Monday to Friday, 0800 – 2000 (12 hour days) with no weekends.
The role will involve:
• Clerking
• Daily care of Paediatric patients (aged 3 to 18) in the surgical day unit
• Assist with outpatients
• Be able to lead and administer appropriate care for medical emergencies on site
You will be working with a Consultant and nursing team.
Candidates will be shortlisted with approved doctors required to be available for a short interview in March.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
The post covers the geographic sector area of Ashton under Lyne, which is part of the North Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) catchment area. The post holder will be responsible for all psychiatric patients in their sector, providing their community care. They will no longer be responsible for their care on the wards, this work will be done by dedicated inpatient consultants. The post holder will negotiate a timetable with the Line Manager.
The post holder will share access to all facilities within the service and work closely with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in the CMHT. The post-holder will have a lead role in the Multi-Disciplinary Team, both with respect to individual cases and with respect to the overall functioning and clinical targeting of the team. This will include Clinical leadership of the team, management of complex cases including care plan and treatment formulation plus guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
In the community the post holder will attend weekly referrals meetings with the CMHT management, the number of referrals varies, on average three per week. You will take a lead role in decision making regarding the referrals for your own sector and work closely with community teams.

Seren Lodge Mother and Baby Unit, an exciting collaboration between NHS England and NHS Wales, opened in December 2025 on the grounds of the Countess of Chester Health Park.

The Mother and Baby Unit is a specialist provision for women with mental health problems during pregnancy and/or in the year after their baby is born. Patients in the postnatal period will have their babies with them during their time as an inpatient on the Mother and Baby Unit. Seren Lodge will be an 8 bedded unit with 6 beds commissioned by NHS England for the women of Cheshire and Merseyside and 2 beds commissioned by NHS Wales for the women of North Wales. The Mother and Baby Unit will also accept referrals for out of area women when there are beds available.
This post is part time 22.5 hours per week

We are hoping to build a supportive and knowledgeable team to move the new Mother and Baby Unit forward. The post offers the successful applicant the exciting opportunity to be part of a new team that provides the highest quality of care for our service users.

Your main base will be at Peterborough City Hospital, however, cross-site working will be required.

We have created well-established pathways and policies that we frequently see replicated at conferences as 'ground-breaking'. An integrated Same Day Emergency Care services is in development providing rapid assessment of patients and streaming them to appropriate treatment pathways.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity available for enthusiastic Psychology Graduates wanting to progress their career by contributing to the promotion of psychological, emotional and behavioural wellbeing of adults with a learning disability residing in the Black Country. The two full time, permanent roles available are varied, rewarding and an opportunity to work as part of an MDT alongside psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and psychiatry colleagues.
Based in Wolverhampton CLDT or Sandwell CLDT (one post per base) the successful candidate will be supporting in the development, facilitation and evaluation of group based psychological intervention groups across the Black Country working alongside the four established Community Learning Disability Teams.
Please note - these are Black Country wide posts and the suitable candidate will need to be able to travel between sites regularly.
In addition to group-based work, you will be delivering 1:1 and systemically informed evidence-based interventions for individuals with learning disabilities and their support networks. There are opportunities to get involved in service development projects and we have excellent support for aspiring psychologists, providing regular Trust wide reflective practice and CPD opportunities.
