We're proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre, Radiotherapy Centre and Hyper Acute Stroke Unit. We're also part of the North East London Cancer Alliance.
We run a Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Job summary
We are advertising for a Consultant Urological Surgeon post at MSE Hospitals with Broomfield Hospital as the base site. We are looking for a consultant urologist confident in robotic renal surgery and also to carry out general urology duties, including on-call. An additional interest in paediatric urology is desirable.
The Urology service across MSE Trust has redesigned its services to offer a better patient pathway and align pathways. It is under a single clinical and management structure. Since April 2023, emergency urology admissions occur only at the Southend or Chelmsford sites. Both sites run a 1:12 prospective on call commitment with 24/7 middle grade cover. This runs on a consultant of the week system whereby elective activity is stopped during the on call week. Our Southend site is also the regional complex Urology cancer centre with two Da Vinci Robotic systems. Both sites have da Vinci robot systems. Paediatric urology is based at Basildon and Broomfield. We coordinate renal cancer surgical cases via a weekly planning meeting and the renal surgical specialist MDT.
We currently offer an emergency lithotripter service with a combined Southend/ Broomfield rota. Both sites offer ureteroscopic stone surgery with local and combined complex benign MDTs. Current BPH treatments offered include HoLEP, TURIS TURP, Rezum, UroLift and PAE.
We would love for you to join our friendly supportive department.
