Job summary

The post will offer you the opportunity to continue to develop your skills in a range of assessment and intervention with children and young people within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg population.
The post holder will be based at the Children Centre, Princess Of Wales Hospital , however will have opportunity to work across our other site's delivering robust intervention to a complex and varied caseload.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at Children Centre, Princess Of Wales Hospital , however will be required to work across other health authority sites, and will be required to work in a variety of community settings: clinic, schools, nurseries, client's homes.
The post holder will manage a complex and varied caseload, assessing, identifying, planning and providing highly specialist occupational therapy (OT) interventions for children with disabilities/developmental problems. The post holder will implement the treatment plan with autonomy; taking sole responsibility for the patient's safety when undertaking home visits/school and community work, and maintain clinical records in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards.
The post holder will provide leadership for junior staff, support staff and contribute to their development, as a delegated supervisor and regularly supervise OT students on practice placement.
They will work in partnership across the primary/secondary care interface with voluntary organisations, local authority and other appropriate health and social care sectors.

This role forms part of the Quality Management Team for UHBW Paediatric Haematology, Oncology & BMT services. - Manage and oversee the UHBW Adult BMT & IEC and Paediatric Haematology, Oncology & BMT Quality Management Programme, ensuring that the programme meets all regulatory and accreditation requirements, while driving continual service development and improvement
- Maintain and revise a comprehensive Quality Management Plan designed to ensure the Programme meets regulatory and accreditation requirements, sets and delivers targets. Lead, develop, implement, maintain and monitor the Programme's Quality Management System, in order to deliver the aims and requirements of the Quality Management Plan. Lead on change controlled processes to update and reconfigure elements of the system and related wider practice in need of update.
- Schedule, plan, manage and document external inspections, audits and site visits pertinent to the specialties. Coordinate and execute CAPA plans for non-compliances revealed, collaborating with responsible parties to provide evidence to demonstrate that corrective actions have been completed and have been effective.
- Work with Clinical Leads and Patient Safety to identify, draft, manage and mitigate departmental risks, and maintain effective working Risk Registers on the Trust's risk management system.

You will get the opportunity to perform all obstetric including Nuchal scans, general abdominal, gynaecological ultrasound examinations at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and peripheral sites, working in line with Band 7 expectations in all areas of practice.
Our purpose built Diagnostic Ultrasound department has a fleet of flag ship GE equipment, a successful, more than 10 years, rolling Sonographer training program, 7 day affable Radiologist support and dedicated Interventional Ultrasound facilities.
Our refurbished Antenatal clinic is based adjacent to the antenatal clinic, providing Antenatal care to approximately 3500 women a year and has state of the art Canon and GE equipment in a 4 bed unit, providing an interdisciplinary fusion of Radiographer, Nurse and Midwife Sonographer led services.
Main duties of the job
As an Obstetric Sonographer, you will be an integral part of the maternity service and work closely with the Obstetric teams to provide exceptional care to all patients. This includes working alongside the ANC Screening team and FMC to deliver the FASP & achieve all KPI's within your practice.
As a General Medical Sonographer, you will be a strong team player, working as part of team undertaking a wide range of examinations. The Radiologists at MPH are approachable with an eagerness to facilitate learning and development to providing exceptional service to all patients.
You'll perform and report ultrasound examinations across both disciplines to a high standard in a professional manner, working within departmental guidelines whilst being accountable for your own practice. Reports are expected to be of high quality providing advice on future patient management to other clinicians.
Excellent communication skills are essential within both spheres, you will be expected to adapt your style of communication to meet the needs of a variety of situations, some of which can be distressing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Support Time and Recovery Worker (ST&R) to join our Assertive Outreach Team within the Community Mental Health Service.
The Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Directorate provides inpatient and community-based support to patients and carers while also supporting the wellbeing of staff.
The Community Mental Health Service interventions are provided to people living in the community who require support with severe and enduring mental health conditions.
As a Support Time and Recovery Worker (ST&R) within our Assertive Outreach Team, you will be an integral part of the Community Mental Health Service, delivering evidence-based interventions to a caseload of individuals with mental health difficulties. A collaborative, recovery-focused and strengths-based approach is essential to this role. The post holder will be supporting individuals in their community environment as well as providing in-reach to those who are in-patients to support them to return home.
The successful candidate will work within a Community Mental Health Service that has challenged the traditional boundaries between primary and secondary care in partnership with the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector. Liaison with a wide range of partners is central to the role.
You must have a full driving licence and have permanent access to their own transport with appropriate business insurance.

- Deliver recovery-focused and evidence-based interventions to individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
- Support service users to work towards goals identified within their care plans and promote engagement with treatment and recovery.

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a two new Consultant Neurology post's, with interest and expertise in Neuromuscular Disorders, to work in the South West, based in Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (or a different place in the region if preferred as a base). These posts are part of the South West Neuromuscular Operational Delivery Network, a nationally recognised network of excellence, which provides care for people living with Neuromuscular conditions in Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is a leading centre for patient care in the South West and one of the largest hospital trusts in the UK.
Main duties of the job
These post's will involve the diagnosis, management and care of people living with Neuromuscular Disorders, their families, and carers. This includes a range of conditions, for example muscular dystrophies, neuropathies, CIDP and myasthenia. A range of treatment options, including genetic modifying therapies, are established. The service is multi-disciplinary, supported by Neuromuscular Care Advisors, Specialist Physiotherapists, and a Specialist Psychologist. The post holder's will join the team in providing an education programme for professionals and patients.
These posts will both provide outpatient clinics in Bristol and Plymouth. One of the posts will provide clinics in Truro (12 clinics or 6 days per year) and one post will provide clinics in North Devon (12 clinics or 6 days per year).

Job summary
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated Biomedical Scientists to join our Cellular Pathology team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to support our expanding department. Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience within Cellular Pathology, alongside the ability to contribute to staff training, quality assurance and service development. Knowledge and experience of Immunohistochemistry (IHC) would be advantageous.
Applicants who hold the IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Cellular Pathology will be appointed as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6). Applicants who are HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists but do not hold the IBMS Specialist Portfolio will be appointed as a Registered Biomedical Scientist (Band 5).
The department provides Histopathology, Cytopathology and Mortuary services housed within a purpose-built facility in a prime city-centre location. We receive a broad range of specimens from within the Trust, General Practitioners and other healthcare providers and, as a specialist referral centre, handle cases regionally, nationally and from overseas. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of specimen types and specialised investigations.
Main duties of the job
The laboratory is divided into several specialist sections including Specimen Reception, Slide Production, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Muscle & Nerve, Electron Microscopy, Neuropathology, Cytology, Mohs and our research facility, NovoPath. We also work closely with Genomics services, supporting the increasing complexity of integrated pathology and molecular diagnostics in our role as the regional Cellular Pathology Genomics Centre (CPGC).
The department has established Advanced Practitioner dissection and Consultant Biomedical Scientist reporting roles, reflecting our commitment to developing advanced practice, driving innovation and delivering excellence in patient care.
The laboratory operates Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 6.00pm, and flexibility is encouraged to support both staff and departmental requirements. As a major Transplant Centre, the department also provides an out-of-hours on-call service, participation in which is voluntary.

- Specialist Biomedical Scientists will be expected to provide specialist scientific and technical expertise within Cellular Pathology, supporting the day-to-day operational delivery of the service. - Specialist Biomedical Scientist will undertake more advanced technical duties, including the microscopic interpretation of tissue and/or fluid samples and the selection and dissection of tissue for diagnosis, where trained and competent to do so. They will contribute to service development, validation and implementation of new techniques, quality initiatives and improvement projects.

Job Purpose
- The department of Cellular Pathology is made up of Histology, Cytology, Neuropathology, Research and Mortuary Services. The post holder will rotate between sections and participate as part of a team, in providing Cellular Pathology service to the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, General Practitioners, other Trusts and other users of the service.
- Procedures will be carried out without supervision under the guidance of a Senior Biomedical Scientist.
- To work as part of a team in the receipt of Cellular Pathology specimens, assisting in specimen dissection and preparing samples for processing, recording details on the laboratory information system, storage and eventual disposal of residual tissue.
- To undertake cryotomy on intraoperative tissue samples (frozen sections) and produce high quality sections in a timely and efficient manner.
- To carry out a wide range of laboratory procedures, e.g. taking X-rays of breast and bone samples, programming tissue processors, orientating and embedding tissue samples, preparing and analysing non-gynaecological cytology preparations, microtomy, tissue staining, immunocytochemistry, electron microscopy, moleculardiagnostic procedures, validate results and use judgement in determining and initiating further procedures that may be required.

We are a very busy and friendly 12 doctor practice at The Gill Medical Centre in Walkden and we wish to recruit a full time experienced medical secretary/data inputter
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organised and hard-working individual to provide full secretarial and administration support for our practice and to update and maintain information on our patient records and systems.
To provide a professional and effective secretarial and reception service to our practice population to ensure complete satisfaction with patients practice experience
Main duties of the job
Typing of referral letters and general correspondence
Using e-referral system
Keeping referral templates and forms within the clinical system up to date
Scanning referral letters on to patients records if required
Liaising with the hospitals and secondary care about patient appointment and test result queries.
Dealing with queries raised by Doctors, Practice Manager, and Patients.
Photocopying of medical records when requested by insurance companies, solicitors or Doctors.
To provide holiday and sickness cover for secretarial colleague.
To attend and minute meetings as requested
Entering of test results and sending letters to patients who require appointments etc.
General secretarial and administrative duties for the GPs and Practice Manager

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated and organised individual to join our dynamic Termination of Pregnancy Team. They will be expected to deliver an effective and competent level of clerical and administrative support for our service based at Bridgend Health and Wellbeing Centre at Bridgend working 30 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The role will include the efficient co-ordination of the service, and delivery of booking systems for appointing patients. It will also encompass being the first point of contact for patients and colleagues contacting the service both in person and by telephone in a confident and sensitive manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The successfull candidate will need to have good communication skills, be organised and flexible and be able to demonstrate their abilit to work on their own as well as in collaboration with others within the multi disciplinary team maintaining effective working relationships.
We are a fast paced environment that requires an adaptable individual who can self direct.
You will need to have good IT skills ad competence in using a variety of IT applications, including Myrddin.
Knowledge of electronic record management systems will be beneficial but not essential.

Ensuring all queries are managed ina timely manner, be first point of contact for referrals into the service provision. Organise and manage own workload and that of the clinical team ensuring all appointments are managed effectively and the workforce is scheduled so that RCOG timelines are met.
Ensure all HSA1/HSA4 forms are processed correctly and submitted to the Chief Medical Officers in a timely manner.
Arrange follow up appointment, enquiries via telephone calls and assessing each situation accordingly to manage individual situations.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Therapy Team at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, part of United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT). The successful candidate will join our rotational Band 5 programme, gaining broad clinical experience across both acute and community settings. Rotations last approximately six months and include specialties such as Medicine, Care of the Older Person, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Respiratory, Community/Outreach, Outpatients, and Front Door.
You will be part of a supportive 7-day therapy service, developing core Occupational Therapy skills and clinical confidence across diverse environments. ULHT delivers an integrated Therapy Service with a strong focus on rehabilitation, early intervention, and the prevention of deconditioning. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care across the Emergency Department, inpatient wards, outpatient services, and community pathways.
Throughout your rotations, you will be fully supported by a large, experienced, and collaborative therapy team who are committed to your professional growth and development.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team of over 60 Integrated Therapy staff. You will provide high standard Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions within an integrated therapy team. These rotational positions offer an important opportunity and challenging career move for you to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. As a department we are committed to excellence and provide regular staff supervision and appraisal. The department also supports occupational therapy students.
Our team is highly focussed on supporting your development and we work hard to ensure you will receive 1:1 supervision, regular training/peer reviews and access to advice and support.
