Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner looking to support the care provided following telephone assessments within our out of hours (OOHs NHS 111 Clinical Assessment Service?
South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust as the commissioned provider of the NHS 111 and OOHs Clinical Assessment Service for Kent & Medway and Sussex regions is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team of GPs and prescribing Pharmacists as a senior clinical leader delivering expert autonomous practice within our 111 Clinical Assessment Service supporting patients in the out of hours period.
Working remotely within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll assess and manage patients presenting with complex, undifferentiated and potential high-risk presentations, making autonomous decisions that directly influence patient outcomes, urgent and emergency care utilisation and access to alternative care pathways.
Being a fully qualified advanced clinical practitioner with significant independent prescribing experience within the out of hours and urgent on the day primary care field, you would work within the team of senior clinicians that ensure patients presenting to the out of hours space are effectively managed through remote clinical assessment.

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (111 - Clinical Assessment Service), you'll work as a senior autonomous clinician within our Clinical Assessment Service, delivering expert clinical assessment, leadership and professional expertise.
Clinical Practice
You'll:
Deliver advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and management to patients presenting with complex, undifferentiated and potential high-risk presentations.
Make autonomous clinical decisions in situations of complexity, uncertainty and clinical risk.
Determine the most appropriate care pathway, including remote consultation, referral, or escalation to an emergency response.
Prescribe and implement evidence-based treatment plans where appropriate.
Provide expert clinical advice and support to clinicians across Integrated Urgent Care, including care home and community based nursing teams as well as ambulance clinicians exploring alternative non-conveyance pathways.
Safeguard vulnerable patients while promoting person centred care and shared decision making.
Communicate highly complex or sensitive information with empathy and professionalism.

Working on a fleet of over 700 vehicles, including ambulances, rapid response vehicles, 4x4s and specialist support vehicles, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our frontline services remain operational and ready to respond across the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking to broaden their skills through manufacturer and specialist training, including Mercedes, MAN, Fiat, Electric Vehicle (EV) systems and C1 licence training where required.
Working as part of a supportive and professional team, you'll use modern diagnostic equipment and industry-leading practices to maintain a fleet that is essential to delivering emergency and urgent care services to our communities.
Training and developmentWe are committed to investing in your development. If you don't already hold a C1 licence, we will support you in obtaining this. You'll also receive specialist manufacturer training across our fleet, including MAN, Mercedes and Fiat, as well as training in electric vehicles (EV), air conditioning and other specialist systems, ensuring you stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry standards.
Main duties of the job

As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse fleet of emergency and support vehicles.
Your duties will include:
o Servicing, inspecting and repairing ambulances, rapid response vehicles, 4x4s and support vehicles
o Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic systems, including Mercedes Star, Fiat Witech, ODIS and Autel
o Carrying out preventative maintenance and safety inspections to maximise vehicle availability.
o Preparing vehicles for MOT testing (Class IV and VII)
o Undertaking repairs involving electrical systems, welding and fabrication, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning systems.
o Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records.
o Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Trust policies and manufacturer standards.
o Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
The workshop operates seven days a week between 6am and 8pm. The role is based on a shift rota and includes weekend and bank holiday working, with enhancements paid for unsocial hours.

Main duties of the job
The role of a SECAmb Call Handler
When you ring 111 or 999, your call goes through to a call handler based in one of our 3 Emergency Operation/Contact Centres. These staff are trained to use the NHS Pathways system to provide assistance in a variety of situations, from minor illness to life threatening situations. The assistance you will provide will range from offering lifesaving advice whilst an ambulance is on route, to directing callers to other more suitable services.
This role can be demanding, challenging and ultimately very rewarding however, it's not for everyone. Applicants will need to have a range of skills to be able to deal with often stressful and emotional situations, whilst also demonstrating compassion and empathy to all callers, no matter what the situation.
As we are a 24/7 service, this role will involve working a varied shift pattern including earlies, lates and weekends but due to our flexible working, we will work with you to create a rota that gives you a great work/life balance whilst meeting the needs of the trust.

The SORT Facilitator is accountable to the Head of Specialist Operations for the delivery of the service by providing expert knowledge, skill and direction in the delivery of training and assurance. To take responsibility as part of SECAmb SORT for providing professional education, training, and learning opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The SORT facilitators will work predominantly Monday to Friday, office hours, with the occasional weekends / nights to deliver training or facilitate / attend exercises or live response - any unsocial hours worked will be paid as per Agenda for Change Section 2.
The role includes but is to limited to:
- Ensuring SORT training and SORT PCAs are successfully completed as per NARU requirements.
- Working in collaboration with clinical governance and managerial colleagues to provide assessment and mentoring opportunities that will contribute to the improvement in the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Supplying specialist educational support and guidance to SORT staff and Commanders in order to improve the dissemination of learning within localities and facilitate the continuing professional development of staff.
- Attending training away from the base as and when required
- Undertaking training and audits of CBRN capabilities at acute hospital and partner agency sits and have an individual portfolio of stakeholders.

HART in SECAmb are seeking candidates for the Ashford Operating Unit, who are either currently operating as Experienced HART Operatives OR HCPC Registered Paramedics in an A+E ambulance setting
HART is a continuing national initiative led by the Department of Health, which enables clinical care to be delivered in areas previously inaccessible to the Ambulance Service. As such HART Operatives respond to potential incidents of a Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear (CBRN) and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) nature; structural / trench collapse, major transportation incidents, incidents requiring working at height, confined space and rescue incidents involving complex entrapment.
The team may also be called upon to provide specialist clinical support and knowledge within a Search and Rescue (USAR) environment. All operatives are required to attain Swift Water Rescue Technician (SRT) status which involves working in flooded areas / significant moving water and in difficult environments.
On duty operatives are required to be able to deploy to any location, Nationwide, with no notice for periods of 36hrs or more. All operatives must also be able to deploy as part of an Ambulance Intervention Team. In addition to specific HART related work, Operatives will respond as an operational resource, as required, to meet the needs of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You must be a qualified paramedic with one of the following qualifications, IHCD Paramedic Award, BTECH Level 4, BSc, DipHE or FdSc to train as a HART Operative.
- Band 6 experienced Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years (24 months) experience at band 6.
- Are available for ALL the Mandated course dates
- Have driving Licence that is valid within the UK, including C1catagory or equivalent.
- UK HCPC registered Paramedic
To apply you must have a good level of physical fitness, weigh under 124KG and over 50KG (in HART PPE approx. 7 KG) and be capable of swimming a minimum of 200 meters. Initial training lasts 11 weeks and consists of mainly residential courses You will also be required to be available to respond, at no notice, to incidents nationwide for up to 48hours.

- (HART PCA tests are carried out on both land and in water and have been designed to replicate a number of the physical demands required to operate as a HART Paramedic.)

As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse fleet of emergency and support vehicles.
Your duties will include:
o Servicing, inspecting and repairing ambulances, rapid response vehicles, 4x4s and support vehicles.Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic systems, including Mercedes Star, Fiat Witech and Autel.Carrying out preventative maintenance and safety inspections to maximise vehicle availability
o Preparing vehicles for MOT testing (Class IV and VII)
o Undertaking repairs involving electrical systems, welding and fabrication, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning systems
