Job summary
We're looking for a Clinical Lead to join the mental health team at HMP Haverigg working with sex offenders in a CAT D establishment.
This is a rewarding post, where you will get to practice a full range of psychiatric skills and interventions.
The role of the clinical lead will be varied which will include assessments and intervention.
You will make on going assessment of needs reflecting individual circumstances, including risk assessment, providing relevant interventions and coordinating discharge planning.

We are looking for a skilled nurse/mental health practitioner who will thrive working in a busy environment and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team, alongside partner providers from a variety of internal and external services.

Main duties of the job
You will have experience providing compassionate mental health care and have an understanding of the criminal justice system. You will make on going assessment of need reflecting individual circumstances and provide relevant interventions and input to discharge planning. You will be required to have strong coordination and planning skills, with the ability to make decisions based on comprehensive health and risk assessments.
You should be innovative, flexible and able to engage with patients with complex needs. You will be committed to a person-centred approach and have the ability to prioritise.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the new mental health team at HMP Millsike, a brand-new all-electric Category C men's prison in Full Sutton near York. Prison settings are challenging but highly rewarding, offering the chance to develop strong clinical skills in a fast-moving environment.
This role is ideal for registered professionals with mental health experience who want to broaden their psychiatric skills while delivering urgent and planned community-based care to the prison population. HMP Millsike will house up to 1,500 people, supporting them to gain skills for employment on release as part of the government's strategy to reduce reoffending. TEWV has been awarded the contract to deliver mental health services from April 2025.

Main duties of the job
You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, LD Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist working within a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with senior clinical staff to deliver a comprehensive mental health service and manage the challenges of a prison environment.
You will provide clinical assessment and intervention for people with complex needs, supporting a whole-prison approach. This includes completing comprehensive assessments, communicating treatment options, initiating care plans and delivering evidence-based interventions alongside the wider team.
A person-centred approach, strong prioritisation skills and flexibility are essential. We are seeking skilled professionals who can thrive in a busy setting, working within a well-resourced multidisciplinary team and in partnership with internal and external providers.
Alongside the competency framework, we offer a full induction and workforce development plan, with extensive personal, professional and academic training opportunities to support your growth and evidence-based practice.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must pass Police Vetting before employment. This includes checks on criminal history (spent and unspent), financial standing and social media. Main duties of the job
The Screening Practitioner delivers pre-assessment clinics, cares for the patient whilst undergoing Endoscopic or radiological procedures, reviews histological outcomes and delivers pathological results to patients using defined pathways. The successful candidate will also be required to complete the mandatory structured Induction Programme and the Liverpool John Moore University/Plymouth University (Torbay) SSP Degree/Masters module which is compulsory to the role.
The Screening Practitioner will deliver a variety of clinics. These include a FIT clinic, where the post holder discusses potential reasons for an abnormal result and pre-assesses the patients suitability for colonoscopy and bowel preparations; A results clinic, where the screening practitioner will be informing of histological results and breaking bad news to patients following their colonoscopy, discussing the findings, and explaining what happens next on their pathway; Surveillance clinics and Lynch Syndrome surveillance clinics, where the screening practitioner reassesses patients who are following the surveillance pathway and assess and arrange a colonoscopy.
The Screening Practitioner attends endoscopic procedures for live data collection and to maintain standards. The Screening Practitioner is responsible for all histology sent from colonoscopy and accurate documentation of Optical Diagnosis.
The post is based at Musgrove Park Hospital with regular travel to Yeovil District Hospital to cover SSP clinics and endoscopy lists.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team in Portsmouth. This role is vital in supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, enabling them to remain safely in their own homes as an alternative to hospital admission.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, recovery focused support, undertake comprehensive assessments, delivering planned interventions and contributing to crisis and risk management plans. You will take a senior role in supporting and guiding any junior or new staff, promoting best practice, and ensuring care is delivered in line with local and national standards.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in mental health support work, strong communication and decision making skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast paced, high pressure environments. Based at The Orchards, St James' Hospital, the team work across Portsmouth city, therefore there is a requirement for the post holder to have a full UK driving licence and have access to a suitable vehicle, in order to undertake home visits and respond to urgent situations in a timely manner.

Ash Ward is a low secure inpatient service offering a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for individuals requiring specialist forensic mental health care. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) to join our Mental Health Rehabilitation Services team within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Clinical Associate Psychologist, you will play an important role in improving the mental health and wellbeing of people accessing rehabilitation services.
