Job summary
Bank Health Care Assistants (HCAs) are at the core of the NHS. We are looking to add to our pool of Bank HCAs who work at numerous locations across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We are looking for applicants for all locations but would particularly welcome candidates able to work in: Loughborough, Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, Hinckley and Coalville. If you are looking for flexibility and can demonstrate prior experience of working in a healthcare environment, then why not consider joining our bank? We are specifically looking for applicants who can demonstrate working in a Mental Health, Learning Disability or Autism environments as well as general healthcare. An excellent applicant will be able to highlight a significant range of experiences in their application in such environments and will be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision in whatever team they would be working. Main duties of the job
As an HCA you will support the healthcare team in the delivery of direct patient care. You will work closely with our nurses, allied health professionals and other healthcare professionals in multi-disciplinary teams. Our patients include people of all ages and we provide both physical and mental health services across our Trust sites or at home/virtually. You'll be joining our team of bank staff who provide cover across all areas of the Trust. You will work under a flexible zero-hour bank agreement and can choose from available shifts to fit round your other commitments. Shifts vary and can cover days, nights, weekends and other shifts patterns. Support and training: On commencement you will attend a trust induction and undertake mandatory classroom-based training such as basic life support, manual handing, infection control, safeguarding and more. Once you have completed the suite of mandatory training provided you will then be able to access booking onto shifts. Our Centralised Staffing Solutions Team will be on hand to support you with any queries or bookings to work on our bank. Please note, although we have some work available within Leicester, we are a separate employer to University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust which manages the three Leicester hospitals. The role involves providing care and support to in-patients currently experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring an inpatient admission.
Commitment to meeting the needs of people with mental health problems and valuing their rights is a prerequisite.

Main duties of the job
- Consistently delivering a patient-focused service, which promotes optimum independence.
- Providing and receiving routine information orally, in writing or electronically to inform work colleagues, patients, clients, carers, the public or other external contacts.
- Offering appropriate support and advice to patients and their carers.
- Enabling patients to maintain and improve their independence by promoting involvement in therapeutic activity.
- Giving physical health care and physical health checks as required or instructed, documenting the physical health checks on the early warning scoring system (NEWS2), chart and reporting changes to the nurse/healthcare professional in charge.
- Undertaking day-to-day tasks as allocated by the Nurse/healthcare professional in Charge.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a healthcare assistant to join our outpatient team. The outpatient department is based across a number of general and specialty clinics. The post holder will develop their skills to support the team to provide an efficient service that delivers first class service to our patients and staff.
Band 3 salary will be dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.
Applicants who do not meet the full criteria for appointment at Band 3 may be appointed at Band 2 and supported through a structured development programme including completion of required competencies and qualifications with progression to Band 3 subject to evidence of competence and service need.
Main duties of the job
You must have basic literacy and numeracy skills and want to develop your knowledge and skills.
You will be a motivated team player and be committed to your own professional development. There is a requirement for you to be flexible to meet the needs of the clinics. In return we will support you to develop in the role.
Working alongside the outpatient team your role would be to support the team in setting and maintaining person centered high quality care and ensuring that patient safety and the patient experience are paramount.

Main duties of the job
The Mother and Baby Unit provide inpatient care and treatment for mothers with their babies when they are suffering with mental illness. The role involves providing high quality of care and perinatal support to antenatal and post-natal mothers in the ward.
This role involves shifts work, weekends and nights.

Main duties of the job
Compass Medical Practice is a GP practice for those who are difficult to manage in mainstream practice. Patients are either consulted via telephone/ video link or face to face. When a face-to-face appointment is required, a risk assessment is undertaken to assess what support the clinician requires. Consultations are supported with the use of patient liaison officers and consultations are carried out in our mobile clinic van or in an agreed prebooked venue.
Compass Medical Practice also provides medical cover to temporary patients residing at Thornton House. These are short term patients that are residing at Thornton house for either rehab, rest or recouperation. There is a weekly ward round and multidisciplinary team meeting. Compass Medical practice also offers medical support throughout the week, outside of the ward round, during opening hours.
Our homeless health service is nurse led and is operates on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from the Salvation Army in central Blackpool. The nursing team take a multidisciplinary approach, often working with wider services to meet the needs of a complex patient cohort who are facing multiple disadvantage.
The targeted demand management service offers a wound care service in Fleetwood on weekly basis, and a health care assistant led health check service every two weeks.

Job summary
The Bordon and Petersfield Community Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) Team operates from the main team base at Chase Hospital and covers Petersfield, Bordon and some of Waterlooville working 9-5 Monday -- Friday. The team is approachable and open. We support each other and have developed a culture of honesty and integrity.
Please note this role is part time, 22.5 hours a week.
This is a lively, dynamic and busy multi-disciplinary team which provides care coordination and recovery focused care for individuals with both organic/functional mental health needs. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your skills as a Healthcare Support Worker, who is focused on continually improving outcomes for patients.
You will play an important role in delivering excellent care for our patients and working as part of the team to provide the right support and assistance to our patients in their recovery. You would be joining a supportive team that work together closely.
Due to the nature of this post, you will need to carry out home visits and attend patient meetings therefore, a car driver is essential with access to own car.

Main duties of the job
The Community Mental Health Support Worker will work as a core member of the Memory Assessment Services as well as supporting functional patients within the community. The primary aim is to support those patients who have been given a specialist assessment including dementia or a functional illness offering post post-diagnostic support. This will include treatment initiation, titration of medication post diagnostic care and support, care planning, risk management and signposting to other professional and voluntary services.
The support worker will work in accordance with an agreed plan of care and under the direction and supervision of professionally qualified staff to promote the maintenance and achievement of recovery focussed goals for the service user including post diagnostic support.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Health Care Assistant to work in our busy MIU and UTC.
You will be working day to day with a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team, caring for patients with a range of minor injuries or ailments who are booked in via 111 and other health care professionals or self present to the Unit.
