Job summary
We currently have a vacancy for an additional experienced and caring HCA to join our small, friendly nursing team.
The position is for 9 hours a week to be worked over three mornings a week (9am to 12pm).
Main duties of the job
The key tasks you will be required to undertake are
- NHS Health Checks
- Phlebotomy
- Urinalysis
- Recording blood pressure where appropriate
- Supporting administrative processes
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a primary care setting and have completed the Care Certificate. We are an EMIS practice with approx. 11,000 patients based in Chesham with ample on-site parking. We have an excellent reputation locally for providing a high quality, efficient service to our patients.
You will need to be able take patient blood samples professionally and efficiently, ensuring that the patient experiences minimal discomfort and will follow strict practice protocols ensuring correct procedures are followed to ensure consent is obtained, samples are taken safely using aseptic techniques and are labelled and dealt with correctly.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable with an excellent patient facing manner. You will also need to be a professional and flexible team player.

We are an EMIS practice based in Chesham with approx 11,000 patients and have an excellent reputation for delivering a high-quality, responsive and caring service to our patients. We have an experienced and welcoming team of GPs, nurses and support staff and are currently wishing to expand our nursing team to include an additional HCA.
Our surgery is based in a modern, purpose built medical centre with ample parking.

Job responsibilities
Job Summary
The HCA supports the practice nursing and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical and administrative services. This role involves working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.
Having completed the Care Certificate or equivalent qualification, the HCA will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion, long-term condition management and patient education while also supporting the administrative team on an as-required basis.
The key roles of this job will include:
- Performing NHS Health Checks
- Undertaking phlebotomy
- Urinanalysis
- Recording blood pressure where appropriate
- Supporting administrative processes
- Providing Health promotion
With further support, the job may also include:
- Performing basic wound care / dressing changes
- Supporting seasonal vaccinations where appropriate
- Performing ECGs
In addition, the post holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the HCA. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. Consult with patients and their families to undertake assessments of patient need
b. Deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion, long-term condition management and patient education
c. Be an integral part of the general practice team
d. Provide clinical support to registered nurses and other healthcare professionals within the organisation
e. Deliver basic clinical care interventions under supervision, supporting continuity of care and patient safety initiatives
f. Act as a chaperone as required
g. Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation
h. Provide support during minor operations as required
i. Ensure clinical waste is removed from clinical areas and sharps bins replaced in accordance with the organisations IPC Policy
j. Work within national and local protocols where these exist
k. Be aware of your duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to practice policies and procedures on Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children
l. Recognise the boundaries of their practice and know when and to whom patients should be referred
m. Support in the delivery of enhanced services and other service requirements
n. Support the administrative team on an as-required basis
o. Undertake all mandatory training and induction programmes
p. Contribute to and embrace the spectrum of clinical governance
q. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area always
r. Attend a formal appraisal with their manager at least every 12 months. Once a performance/training objective has been set, progress will be reviewed on a regular basis so that new objectives can be agreed

Job summary
Dr Sharma & Rai Practice Group is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) / Phlebotomist to join our team across GP practice sites in Barking and Dagenham.
This is a full-time, permanent role for 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work across different practice sites according to the rota, but will normally remain at one site for the full working day.
We are looking for an experienced primary care HCA who is confident in phlebotomy and a broad range of routine HCA duties. Formal phlebotomy training/competency certification and recent practical phlebotomy experience are essential.
The role will include supporting long-term condition reviews, NHS Health Checks and other routine clinical activity. Early starts are essential due to morning phlebotomy clinics.
You will join an experienced clinical team, with nursing support available for ongoing development and competency updates where appropriate.

Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Assistant / Phlebotomist will support the clinical team by delivering a range of routine patient care and monitoring activities within general practice.
Main duties will include:
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Blood pressure, height, weight and BMI checks.
- NHS Health Checks.
- Supporting long-term condition reviews, including diabetes checks and foot assessments.
- Performing ECGs and urinalysis.
- Administering B12 injections in line with practice protocols and appropriate authorisation.
- Smoking and alcohol screening and brief health-promotion advice.
- Recording observations and clinical information accurately in the patient record.
- Maintaining infection prevention and control standards and safe clinical environments.
- Working closely with GPs, nurses and the wider practice team to support safe and efficient patient care.
The postholder will work within their level of competence and follow agreed practice protocols, with experienced nursing support available where required.

Job Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sexual Health Healthcare Assistant to join the Coventry and Warwickshire Sexual Health Service.
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will undertake a range of delegated clinical activities to support the assessment, screening and care of patients accessing our services.

We are looking for dynamic and proactive members of staff to maintain the delivery of safe, high quality, patient-focused care within our Theatre department.
We are looking for forward thinking and highly motivated staff, who are able to demonstrate good time management skills, you will also need to possess good communication skills (verbal, written & electronic) and have the ability to work as part of a team.
The successful applicants will give direct care to patients attending the operating department, in a safe and welcoming environment under the supervision of professionally qualified staff.
This role does require you to work days, nights, evenings, weekends & on-call.
This role will start at a Band 2 and will then progress to a Band 3 once all mandatory training and competencies have been completed.
The successful candidate will need to have experience working in theatre.

Main duties of the job
To perform as a safe competent clinical member of the theatre team and provide care for the peri-operative patient under the supervision of qualified staff.
To ensure the cleanliness of all the Operating Theatre areas and equipment at all times and to participate in all cleaning programmes, including before and following routine and emergency operating procedures.
To prepare the Operating Theatre prior to and following operative procedures ensuring correct equipment available and in working order and to notify the Registered Practitioner of any problems identified.
To assist the Scrubbed Practitioner in the preparation and replenishment of sterile trolleys using an aseptic technique.
To participate in swab, needle and instrument counts under the direction of the Scrubbed Practitioner and in accordance with the departmental procedure.
To participate and comply with all aspects of any Local Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures (LocSSIPs) process and associated documentation completion during the provision of patient care.

Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Assistant will support the nursing and clinical teams across both practices by carrying out a range of delegated clinical tasks, supporting chronic disease management and health promotion activities, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. The role involves direct patient contact, accurate clinical record keeping, and preparing and maintaining clinical environments. The post holder will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and contribute to the smooth and effective running of clinical services across both sites whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and patient care at all times.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join Branwen Ward, an 18 bedded Stroke Rehabilitation ward based in Deeside Community Hospital.Deeside Community Hospital is a great place to work and feel part of a close community hospital team. The team enjoy a close working relationship and support from the hospital league of friends A range of outpatient's services also take place within the hospital site.
Our aim is to provide quality, planned care for the patients. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of nurses responsible for providing, maintaining and coordinating a high standard of planned holistic care and nursing treatments, under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge of the ward.
Main duties of the job
To assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver based care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.
Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the supervision of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.
Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities.

We are looking for two compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of high-quality patient care within our Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) clinics. Key Responsibilities of the job
- Understands that any care and support provided within palliative and end of life care complies with best practice and regulatory requirements and is up to date with changing policies and practices to ensure that essential standards of quality and safety are maintained.
- Undertakes and observes the Hospice at Home West Cumbria Initial Home Assessment, recognising when to inform the team lead / senior hospice nurse or out of hours on call of any situations which may pose a risk or threat to colleagues, patient or family.
- Provides direct nursing care aligned to individualised care plans to patients with palliative care needs and those who are approaching end of life.
- Undertakes continued assessment of the patient during the episode of care and recognises and responds to any change in the patients condition. This includes seeking additional advice and support from out of hour professionals in relation to direct patient care and management.
- Assists with last offices as and when needed.
- Provides families and carers with emotional and psychological support, effectively communicating information to improve their end-of-life management and the bereavement experience of those important to them.
- Attends and participate in supervision and de-briefings for patients, families and carers alongside other health and social care professionals on an as required basis and as part of maintaining own resilience and wellbeing.
- Produces documentation of the care given which complies with documentation standards and is legible, traceable, permanent, contemporaneously recorded, original and accurate.
- Works as a member of the wider hospice and organisational teams and to participate and support the induction of new staff. To build positive relationships internally and externally including peers and local health care professionals.

Main duties of the job
In this role you will support qualified / senior nurses in the delivery of direct care to clients. Clinical support workers have a vital role to play in observing client actions, interactions, reporting these in a clear concise manner. You will also work collaboratively with other Trust services to provide seamless care for clients on defined care-pathways, as well as working in partnership with agencies external to the Trust supporting client's access to services in the independent and non-statutory sector.

Our Trainee Senior Healthcare Support Worker (TSHCSW) programme has been specifically designed as an entry point into the nursing apprenticeship career pathway. You'll join us as a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker, where you'll receive comprehensive training, support, and hands-on experience to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to progress into a Senior Healthcare Support Worker role.

Main duties of the job
The Apprenticeship will be in partnership with EKC Group, and will last 2 years from the enrolment date onto the programme; this is expected to start in February 2027.
Under the Apprenticeship funding rules set by the ESFA you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria below to access Apprenticeship funding to support your training;
o Have the right to work in England. Study visa's will not be accepted as you will need to be employed throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship.o Have been ordinarily resident in the UK or EEA for three years before the apprenticeship start date.o Spend at least 50% of your working hours in England over the duration of the apprenticeship.o Be in relevant employment and work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, with employment contract covering the entire duration of the apprenticeship.
Please note: Any visa would need to be valid at the start of the programme and for the full duration of the programme. If the visa is due to be renewed part-way through the programme, you will not be able to enrol onto the apprenticeship, as per the UK Government Apprenticeship Funding rules.
