Job summary

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to our patients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patient needs are met effectively and holistically. You'll be joining a large team across the two GOSH Respiratory Wards (Leopard and Kangaroo), which focuses on children and young people requiring respiratory medicine acutely and chronically. It has 23 beds, including a high-dependency unit (HDU), dedicated beds for children and young people with cystic fibrosis and transitional care beds for long term ventilated children and young people. You work will help maintain excellent patient outcomes and a positive, supportive ward culture.

Main duties of the job
- To provide the highest standard of nursing care for the children, young people and their families at all times
- To plan, assess, implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual children and to supervise other staff in this activity
- To ensure an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the children, young people and their families
- To act as an advocate for the child, young person and family, providing them with information and support and directing them to the relevant support services where appropriate
- To supervise and support members of the ward team as required, ensuring that all patients receive appropriate care
- To ensure that treatments prescribed by the medical staff are carried out, and that multidisciplinary team members are informed of changes in the patient's condition.
- To actively assist in the education and practical training of learners and junior staff at every opportunity. To work in co-operation with their university in order to provide uniformity and promotion of professional standards
- To maintain confidentiality surrounding the child's or young person's admission and treatment at all times
- To ensure that all patient care is documented, and that all relevant documentation is completed accurately and within agreed timescales using Trust approved documentation, in line with NMC, CQC and Trust standards.

We have a 35 hour permanent position available working over 7 days, 35 hours a week (including working weekends and bank holidays). Shifts are between 06:30am and 6:00pm, the pattern will be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the provision of the patient meals by undertaking specific outlined and approved processes and procedures to ensure the quality and food safety of meals at service are safe and appropriate and within the guidelines of food hygiene legislation.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment, caring for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.

Main duties of the job
EAUS is a varied, fast-paced, dynamic Emergency Assessment Unit for Surgery. We have a high turnover of patients as we take our own direct emergency admissions from GPs, clinics and A&E. We assess and admit patients from nine surgical specialities including general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopaedic trauma and plastics. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care for our patients. EAUS is divided into two parts a Surgical Ambulatory Emergency Care (SAEC) and a main 34 bed inpatient area (Easton ward.) The unit is continually evolving and as a team we are always looking for new initiatives to improve and enhance our patient's experience. We are a friendly, cohesive team and pride ourselves on our excellent assessment skills, allowing us to initiate specialised individual treatment plans and providing initial front line emergency care. The successful candidate will be primarily based at The Royal London Hospital site (RLH) but may be expected to cover and support other ESEL sites depending on service demand. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Red Cell Haematology section with core responsibility for the partnership's Haemoglobinopathy services and will collaborate with Operational Leads to drive service innovation and transformation. The department serves a diverse patient demographic and participates in the NHS Antenatal Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Screening programme, utilizing Bio-Rad Variant II analysers. Additionally, the department utilises Winpath LIMS and Sysmex equipment for Haematology and Coagulation across all ESEL sites
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible to the Operational Lead of the site and is required to carry out/ supervise technical and scientific work in the section. They will practice as a HCPC registered Senior Biomedical Scientist providing a patient focused, cost effective and efficient service.Duties will include the management of Biomedical Scientists (BMS), Associate Practitioners (AP) and Medical Laboratory Assistants (MLA) within the section involving the training and supervision of unqualified staff, whilst taking charge of the day-to-day operations of the section within the laboratory.Flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays will be required within the contracted 37.5 hours per week in accordance with Agenda for Change (AfC) Terms and Conditions handbook. Assistant Technical Officer (ATO) - Specimen Reception
Our busy, fully computerised Pathology Laboratory at Peterborough City Hospital requires staff members to join our team that supports analytical and diagnostic procedures performed in the Pathology Laboratories.
Specimen Reception is a fast-paced, high output environment covering a 24 hour period. The role involves receiving, sorting, labelling and preparing specimens; data entry, and dealing with telephone enquiries. We are looking for individuals with good data entry skills, attention to detail, and ability to focus.
The laboratory operates a 24/7 service and, after appropriate training, you will be expected to support the departmental shift system as required, including weekends and bank holidays.

Successful candidates will be required to participate in the 24/7 rota with all the variety of shifts.
Main duties of the job
The main duties for this role include ensuring the accurate receipt and identification of pathology specimens and request forms for Blood Sciences. This involves maintaining the integrity of the matching process between samples and forms. Additionally, the role includes preparing samples for processing by labelling, storing, and retrieving them in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Administrative and clerical tasks are also essential, such as welcoming visitors, handling general telephone inquiries, performing data entry tasks including the input of patient information and test requests into the laboratory computer system, and retrieving patient information while verifying data accuracy.
Effective communication with clinical staff is a key responsibility, involving the exchange of information about laboratory test requests and results, discussing the quality of received test request information and samples, and providing advice on test and result availability.

Main duties of the job
As a healthcare support worker the majority of your time will be spent engaging and getting know the service users on the ward. You will be able to support in collaborative care planning and implementation.
Although we are a mental health unit we give as much emphasis on physical health care and monitoring. The role of Health care support worker is vital in this area being able to ensure that daily well being needs and care needs are met and monitoring of clinical vital signs.
Successful applicants will also be required to undertake and complete a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course. This enables staff to begin building the skills to de escalate service users in peaks of distress whilst maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for all.
The ward operates on a 24/7 shift basis and you will be required to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays and will qualify for unsocial enhancements in addition to your basic pay.

We are looking for a caring and motivated individual to join our genomics team as a Genomic Associate. This exciting, newly established role within the Genomic Counselling work stream will help facilitate genetic counselling and testing for patients with rare diseases and their family members.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Recovery Worker to join the Trafford Neighbourhood Mental Health Service.
The service aims to provide timely access to mental health support, particularly for individuals who may not meet the threshold for specialist services. It focuses on delivering goal-based, time-limited interventions, promoting independence, recovery, and community integration through a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.
The service is delivered through multidisciplinary teams, including mental health practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, recovery workers, wellbeing practitioners, pharmacists and peer support workers. It adopts a holistic model, considering psychological, social and physical needs, and works collaboratively with local partners to provide coordinated care.

Main duties of the job
As a recovery worker you will be working intensively with service users, enabling them to live their lives and achieve their own goals - with support from a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, psychologists, and medical staff.
The post holder will support individuals in their recovery through using a variety of interventions to promote independence, functioning and social inclusion.
Interventions may involve activities of daily living, vocational and educational aspirations, development of family and social relationships, attending appointments, accessing meaningful activities.
The post holder will support services users in a variety of setting, but they will be encouraged to come into the community setting.
The role currently operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Clinical Research Nurse to join Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen to continue the academic collaboration between Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and Professor Gina Brown, Chair of Gastrointestinal Imaging at Imperial College London.
Available from 7 October 2026, this post offers an ST3+ trainee the opportunity to undertake colorectal research whilst maintaining clinical and endoscopic skills within a busy colorectal unit. The successful candidate will work under the academic supervision of Professor Gina Brown and the clinical supervision of Mr Arnold Goede.
The post builds on the success of previous fellows who have supported NIHR studies, secured grant funding and presented research nationally and internationally. Fellows will contribute to colorectal imaging research and receive support from both the BHT Research & Innovation Department and the Imperial College GI Clinical Trials Team.
The role combines research, colorectal surgery, lower GI endoscopy, medical student teaching, cancer pathway clinics and Lynch Syndrome services. Clinical activity includes outpatient clinics, endoscopy, and laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery.
Applicants should have a strong interest in colorectal surgery and research, excellent communication skills and ideally hold JAG accreditation in lower GI endoscopy. The post is expected to contribute towards a higher degree and offers excellent academic and clinical development opportunities.

Due to a retirement, Gosford Hill Medical Centre has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated salaried GP/retainer to join our team for 4 or 5 sessions a week (Friday all day, Tuesday or Wednesday all day and possibly 1 other flexible session). The sessions themselves can be flexible to a degree with the start and end times.
Main duties of the job
You will hold your own patient list (the size of this list is negotiable). You will have 1 dedicated session for administration per month as well as time allocated in each of your 4 regular sessions. You would be expected to provide some Duty Doctor sessions which are allocated on a pro-rata basis. You will be expected to help support the various learners in the practice.

We are a friendly, forward-thinking team of 2 Partners and 4 Salaried GPs serving approximately 7500 patients on the outskirts of Oxford. We provide high quality care and value continuity. We are a training and teaching practice and currently undertake ST and FY Dr training as well as Oxford University medical student teaching. We also participate in research projects. We have a full complement of nurses, HCAs, practice pharmacist and Physician Assistant. We also have excellent access to PCN physiotherapy, adult and child counselling and mental health nurse appointments.
One of the partners will act as your mentor and meet with you regularly. There is a practice-wide and a GP only Whatsapp group for social and professional purposes respectively. We hold regular whole practice social events.There are regular educational /journal club meetings.

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedBiomedical Scientist or Registered Nurse to join our team as a Specialist Practitioner of Transfusion (SPOT).
The successful candidate will promote safe and effective transfusion practice across the Trust, delivering education and training to clinical staff, supporting compliance with BSQR, SABRE and SHOT requirements, and acting as the key link between the Blood Transfusion Department and clinical teams.

Job summary
We are looking for a highly skilled, compassionate, experienced Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join us in Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust Low Secure Services, which form part of the Rehabilitation and High Support (RHS) Care hub. The post will suit an enthusiastic Psychologist with skills across a wide range of therapeutic approaches and consultation skills, combined with a desire to work within a low secure setting.
Prospect Place is part of the Rehabilitation and High Support Care Hub in Pennine Care. Prospect Place is a 45-bed low secure unit that opened in 2011 and is based on the site of Birch Hill Hospital in Rochdale. The unit is for men aged 18 to 65 years, who have a diagnosed psychotic disorder, and have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Alcohol and drug misuse are often a part of the problems faced by patients. A secure setting may be required to help address challenges around the patient's view of their illness and the vulnerabilities and risks to themselves and others that may result from this.
There is free parking at Birch Hill Hospital site and allocated office space.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the promotion and management of high-quality psychology input at Prospect Place. The post holder will be part of a respected psychology team that includes a Principal Forensic Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Forensic Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists. They will work as part of a wider team of other Psychologists within RHS. Supervision will be provided by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist/ Clinical Lead in RHS.
The post will require you to provide psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to service users who present with complex mental health problems, including psychosis, alongside a possible history of trauma, substance misuse and forensic histories. The post holder will provide direct face-to-face clinical sessions and support the psychosocial intervention work of colleagues. The post-holder will support the ongoing work in RHS on trauma informed care and reducing restrictive practices.
The post holder would be joining the MDT at Prospect Place. You will be expected to attend MDT meetings and to facilitate regular regular reflective groups to offer the MDT reflective space, develop psychological formulations and provide bespoke training. In addition, you will provide one-to-one clinical supervision to Psychologists and other members of the MDT as appropriate. The post will require you to be involved in service developments, Quality Improvement projects and governance within the service as required.

Job summary
An excitingopportunityhas arisen for a Specialty Doctor post in the Urology Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, working with a supportive and friendly team in the newly built Urology Unit.
The post includes on call, assisting in theatre and supporting clinicians in clinic. Day to day work will cover outpatient, elective & emergency aspects of the service.
This post is not a training post but the team will provide support with training for diagnostic procedures such as local anaesthetic prostate biopsies.
As we operate from three main hospitals there is an expectation of cross bay travel so a driving license and a car is essential.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team.
The post, including on call commitment, would cover clinical duties across our sites.
The post holder will be expected to support the Urology services offered by the Trust and provide the highest quality of care to the local population.
The post holder will be supported by our Consultants and our urology specialist nurse practitioners with ward support provided by the Matron's.
The post holder will be supported to take part in medical audits and in continuing medical education, (including self-development and maintaining accreditation).
There is a requirement for regular appraisal to be undertaken by the lead responsible for these services.

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our Community Service for adults are provided in people's homes ,community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent , improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care , advice and support.

About us
The Avenue Surgery is a non-dispensing, training practice, caring for circ.18000 patients in and around the semi-rural town of Warminster, Wiltshire which is within an easy commute to the cities of Bath and Salisbury.
