Job summary
Our team is growing following investment in the regional transformation of spinal cord injury (SCI) care which has led to the NNUH being appointed as a regional SCI hub in the network. The hub operates within the established spinal care service in Trauma and Orthopaedics which currently consists of 6 Consultants, a Spinal Fellow and two Specialist Trainees who work alongside our spinal nurse practitioners, Allied health professionals and the ward team.
The NNUH hub will support the SCI pathway of care across the Norfolk and Waveney area optimizing recovery by improving timely access to services and commencing specialist rehabilitation within the acute sector.We are seeking an experienced senior physiotherapist to join the team to support our physiotherapy clinical lead. Applicants will need to demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills in the acute care and rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries resulting from trauma.
You will be involved in developing and transforming our services and care pathways, supporting the clinical leadership to ensure provision of excellent patient care in collaboration with the physiotherapy clinical, operational and AHP leads.

Main duties of the job
You will be a Senior Physiotherapist responsible for the physiotherapy management of a defined caseload of patients within the specialty presenting to the Trust
You will:
- Assess, prioritise and manage own caseload of patients, determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated, and maintain records as a legally autonomous practitioner. Patient presentation may be complex/highly complex.
- Work will be undertaken without direct supervision. Clinical/professional supervision may take the form of formal training, clinical reasoning sessions and occasional direct observation of practice. Advice and support is always available
- Provide clinical leadership within the speciality including educational, professional and managerial guidance
- Have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within and out-reaching from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Deputise for the Team Leader/Senior physiotherapy staff as required
- Support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service
You will be included in the Physiotherapy Orthopaedic in-patient weekend roster to fulfil the 7-day working commitments required for this post. There will also be a requirement to participate in the Respiratory On-call rota.

Main duties of the job

Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA) is a fully formed network of The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, James Paget University Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn. This post is based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
At NNUH the Transfusion lab processes approx. 60000 samples per annum and provides a full 24/7 service to the hospital. The department uses Grifols Erytra analysers and associated BTM middleware. Currently the department uses Telepath LIMS and are looking to upgrade this. Haemonetics Blood Tracking system is in place for the control of blood fridges and bedside administration of components.
The post holder will be part of a larger network team led by the Network Blood Transfusion Manager, and supported by the EPA quality team.
Main duties of the job
Advanced Health Care Scientist with experience and specialist knowledge in Transfusion Science and the requirements of the BSQR and ISO15189.
To meet standards required to achieve and maintain all aspects of BSQR standards as inspected by the MHRA and ISO 15189 as assessed by UKAS.
Ensures the Laboratory systems are functioning correctly in order to provide clear and appropriate reports in a format that allows the service users/clients access to accurate and updated patient care test results and traceability records.
As specialised staff they will be required to train and demonstrate methodologies to medical staff, clinical scientists, other BMS staff, new entrant staff, students and medical laboratory assistants (MLA).

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, innovative, and supportive medicines management pharmacy team as a Band 5 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician (MMT).
This post is suitable for a GPhC registered pharmacy technician wanting to move sector and from any clinical background. This roles base isHellesdon Hospital in Norwich but travel to different sites may be required.
The ideal candidate will work closely with our pharmacists and MMTs, carrying out various medicines management activities to provide a patient-orientated, high quality and comprehensive clinical medicines management service to designated inpatient wards primarily at Hellesdon Hospital. You will hold an Accredited accuracy checking qualification and be proficient in medicines reconciliation.
You will have a flexible approach to the needs of the service and have a strong team work ethic. You must be well organised and able to prioritise your own work, have good interpersonal skills and be confident working independently, and as a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary team.
Please note this is a permanent position and 30 hours per week.Ideally, we would like the working hours to cover Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with Thursday being a non working day. However, for the right candidate we might be in a position to negotiate these hours.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a team delivering clinical pharmacy services to:
- Adult mental health inpatient wards (Norwich and Kings Lynn)
- Kingfisher Mother and Baby Unit (Perinatal mental health service - Norwich)
- Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (Norwich and Kings Lynn)
- Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (Norwich)
- Drug monitoring clinic (Norwich)
As a medicines management technician, you will:
- Work with other medicines management technicians and team managers to provide adequate cover for activities across dispensary and clinical services, prioritising and directing as required to ensure that optimum service delivery is maintained.
- Order medicines for stock and individual patients at ward-level in preparation for discharge using the appropriate IT systems.
- Participate in medicines management schemes on the wards including Patients Own Drugs, Self-administration, medicines reconciliation and non-stock top ups.
- Maintain a good stock control on the wards.
- Undertake patient counselling about their medicines and provide individualised information and advice about medicines to patients, carers, and other health professionals e.g., medical and nursing staff.
- Involve in discharge planning for service users ensuring a seamless medicines pathway into primary care.
- Participate in Trust wide medicines management initiatives.
- Participate in medicines management audit projects.
- Support the education and training for student pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacists.

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) within the Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in King's Lynn, you will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team. The team is experienced, supportive, and committed to collaborative working, ensuring that your skills, ideas, and contributions are valued and encouraged.
Your role will include:
- Delivering psychological assessments, formulations, and evidence-based individual and group interventions for adults experiencing a range of complex mental health difficulties.
- Working closely with qualified Clinical Psychologists to support the development and delivery of psychological care pathways within the CMHT.
- Undertaking clinical work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, in line with the CAP scope of practice.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary assessments, care planning, risk management, and formulation discussions.
- Supporting psychologically informed approaches across the team through consultation, collaboration, and shared learning.

Neuroscience is a busy specialty that covers Stroke and Neurology patients, we have 2 inpatient wards - Heydon - Hyper Acute stroke Unit and Neurology. Ingham - Acute stroke unit and Neurology. We have a close working relationship with the NNUH's emergency department where we assess & treat Stroke patients.We are expanding the service in line with NICE guidance and there are exciting times ahead with the development of Thrombectomy and the service development of this at the NNUH.The Neuroscience team is a large team but well-functioning , friendly and supportive.We encourage development and support this.
Main duties of the job
With the development of Neuroscience, this post will enable the individual to be involved with the care of both stroke and Neurology Patients working alongside all the Multidisciplinary team through the whole stroke journey. This post will provide a key element in the stroke team's ability to provide and deliver a comprehensive specialist service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Important aspects of their role will include initial screening of patients with acute stroke and involvement in the decision to administer thrombolysis, acute/hyper acute care immediately after stroke, and in conjunction with medical and therapy staff, ensuring post-acute care and early rehabilitation is optimised for each patient including the timely transfer of care where appropriate.You will also be required to coordinate the patient flow of both stroke and Neurology patient throughout their care pathway- take charge of HASU/ASU- lead the MDT and support junior staff.Management roles you will be expected to undertake will include- staffing/eroster, In phase reports and investigations, PDR's amongst other roles.

The appointee will join an enthusiastic and friendly of Respiratory Medicine which is an integral part of the Division of Emergency Care and Medicine at the QEH.
Respiratory Inpatients are looked after in Necton ward which has one dedicated bay for NIV patients 4 general bays , 3 side rooms and a procedure room, In total we look after 32 Patients. 2 respiratory teams at any one time divides patients between them and our 3rd consultant is in charge of General medical and other specialty ward referrals and our 4th consultant does the in reach for Acute medical area.
Outpatient work and Lung cancer referrals are divided among all four consultants. Weekly there are 2 bronchoscopy/EBUS lists and one pleural clinic run by the existing team. Research and tertiary referrals are undertaken in collaboration with CUH and Papworth. The unit actively participates in the local and national audits. The post-holder will follow their standard job plan
Main duties of the job
To take consultant responsibility for allocated inpatients, with support from a designated team of junior doctors based on the respiratory ward.
To provide Consultant led in reach service to ward and acute medicine referrals.
To conduct general respiratory outpatient clinics Lung cancer clinics
To maintain effective communication and handover to the on-call team.
To Work within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and managers to further develop local respiratory services.
To take part in the weekend General Medical on-call rota with colleagues, currently 1 in 18, as first on-call 8:30 till 20:30 and a second on call covers the wards from 9:00 till 14:30 at weekends. 1:18 week day night on calls.

The Eastern Pathology Alliance is formed from three Pathology Laboratories based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), the James Paget University Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn.
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 HCPC registered Biomedical scientists to work in full time cross site rotational roles between the NNUH hub laboratory and the QEH spoke laboratory, in Haematology and Transfusion. The Laboratory at NNUH provides a large range of Blood Sciences services comprising Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology and Transfusion, Immunology and Toxicology. The laboratory at JPUH provides 24/7 laboratory services in Haematology, Transfusion and biochemistry primarily for the Inpatient and outpatient demands for the Trust.
Successful candidates will work as part of the BMS teams at the hub laboratory and QEH laboratories where they will be rostered to cover shifts on both sites. They will have experience of working as independent practitioners in haematology and Transfusion and will be required to participate in the delivery of a 24/7 laboratory service between both sites. Rosters will be planned in advance, and full training and competency assessment will be given to enable candidates to work on both sites. Candidate will be expected to have their own transport and be able to travel between sites, for which reimbursement of mileage will be given.
Main duties of the job
Oversee and run daily test procedures on all methodologies to include calibration and quality control testing and to sign off as fit for clinical use
Be responsible for ensuring the team is able to process both urgent and routine work to maintain routine turnaround times in line with Trust and Service policies.
Fault find equipment and analysers, and take appropriate action to ensure equipment is operational and fit for purpose.
Participate in out of hours rosters between NNUH and QEH sites in haematology and transfusion.
Be responsible for inputting and amending patient data and results, which includes other colleagues work and specimen reception.
Provide education and training of Medical staff, Clinical Scientists, other Biomedical Scientists, Trainee Biomedical Scientists, MLA's and visiting students as required within laboratory haematology.
Demonstrate on-going competence to practice by attending courses, lectures, mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and other training activities.

Mental Health Nurse/OT for Adult Eating Disorder Services

We are looking for a motivated, empathetic, resilient individual with excellent communication skills who has a passion for working with individuals with eating disorders to join our team covering Suffolk and will be based in Bury St Edmunds. Our applicants will have experience working within eating disorders, and have mental health training.
This opportunity comes at a time of excitement as we are involved in the evolution of a pilot scheme involving the Virtually Intensive Treatment team and Intensive community support.The Post holder will assess, clinically manage, co-ordinate care and treat adults with eating disorders. Working alongside other health care professionals including RMN's, RGN's, GP's, Dieticians and consultant Psychiatrists in order to support services users within their recovery.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide planned nursing care and risk assessment/ screening for patients within their care plan.Provide ongoing evaluation of patients' needs and identify suitability for potential discharge in conjunction through caseload management and supervision.
The successful candidate will have to initiate and attend patient centred reviews, case conferences and other meetings as required and be able to work within the multi-disciplinary team and to form working partnerships.

Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to work with the Intensive Care Unit and clinical pharmacy team.
The postholder will be providing expert pharmaceutical care to critical care patients and will need good communication, time management and organisation skills.
As well as clinical skills, the postholder will also contribute to training and mentoring trainee pharmacists and pharmacy students, and lead and contribute to audit. Experience in managing individuals is an advantage.

Main duties of the job
Lead and deliver the clinical pharmacy service to the Intensive Care Unit, by providing a highly specialised level of pharmaceutical care. Main duties of the job
Working in a busy and dynamic Adult Community Mental Health Team means every day will be different. You will be involved in:
- Managing a complex caseload for those under The Care Programme Approach
- Undertaking initial urgent/routine assessments on behalf of the service
- Attending multi-disciplinary team meetings with our Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Consultants, Clinical Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals including Consultant Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists
- Attending outpatient clinic appointments
- Undertaking face to face visits in the community setting including home visits
- Working with service users and their families/carers to care plan holistic goal setting and engage in treatment planning and working in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders
- Medication administration (if qualified to do so) with opportunities to enrol in local university training programmes in medication management
- We also works with needs types and have many evidence based work books to enhance the Service user experience.

You will be a NMC Registered Nurse or a NMC Registered midwife with a nationally recognised qualification in Sexual Health (BASHH STIF).
You will also have recent experience of working in sexual health (Contraception, GUM or equivalent), and ability to demonstrate competency in supply of treatments by Patient Group Directions (PGDs) & be able to work autonomously.
Working pattern Monday- Friday 8:30-7:30 and Saturday mornings, 1 in 4 on a rotational basis.

Main duties of the job
To assess the sexual and reproductive health (SRH), needs of patients attending our integrated Contraception and Sexual Health (iCaSH) Services.
To work within the sexual health department offering advice/testing/treatments.
To act in a responsible manner, being courteous at all times, with sensitivity towards the needs of the individual patient, recognising their right to dignity and privacy.
To support training and education to professionals, students and other agencies.
To work as a member of our iCaSH service with a willingness to undertake further training in SRH as required to support service development.

Main duties of the job
EAUS is a varied, fast-paced, dynamic Emergency Assessment Unit for Surgery. We have a high turnover of patients as we take our own direct emergency admissions from GPs, clinics and A&E. We assess and admit patients from nine surgical specialities including general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopaedic trauma and plastics. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care for our patients. EAUS is divided into two parts a Surgical Ambulatory Emergency Care (SAEC) and a main 34 bed inpatient area (Easton ward.) The unit is continually evolving and as a team we are always looking for new initiatives to improve and enhance our patient's experience. We are a friendly, cohesive team and pride ourselves on our excellent assessment skills, allowing us to initiate specialised individual treatment plans and providing initial front line emergency care. We are passionate about encouraging our staff to develop their clinical skills and knowledge and believe we provide an environment which facilitates professional development.
