Job summary
We are seeking a reliable and organised Band 3 Administrator to join the Inner North West London Single Point of Access (SPA) team. This role provides essential administrative and clerical support to clinical services and acts as a key point of contact for patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
The post holder will play an important role in ensuring referrals are processed accurately, safely and in a timely manner, supporting the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care. They will work closely with colleagues in a busy and collaborative environment, contributing positively to team objectives and patient experience while working in line with the Trust's values of Accountability, Inclusion, Compassion, and Empowerment.
Main duties of the job
- Act as the first point of contact for patients, carers and professionals, responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Receive and action inbound calls in line with service standards
- Register and process new referrals in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- Book, amend, and cancel appointments and clinics
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic patient records
- Manage waiting lists and identify urgent referrals for appropriate escalation
- Provide clear and timely appointment information, including arranging interpreters and transport where required
- Manage the SPA generic inbox and respond to queries within agreed timescales
- Produce clinic letters, reports and routine correspondence to required standards
- Support team meetings, audits and service activities as required
- Prioritise and manage workload effectively to meet service demands
- Communicate clearly via telephone, email, written correspondence and face-to-face
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure accurate service information and a positive team environment
- Escalate concerns, complaints, or risks appropriately, maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Complete mandatory training and take responsibility for ongoing learning and development
- Support the induction and training of new team members
- Adhere to health and safety, data protection and information governance requirements.

Job summary
This post provides highly specialised rehabilitation in the clinical specialty of hand therapy, managing a wide variety of clinical presentations (hand trauma and routine conditions).
The post holder is also responsible for the supervision and line management of Band 6 staff in the team and is involved with operational/day to day management within the hand therapy team. This role is also involved in clinical teaching and learning of new and rotational staff also contributes to regular teaching and learning within hand therapy.
This post holder in this role is responsible for their own clinical caseload within an outpatient setting and they are accountable for their own professional actions.
Main duties of the job
Clinical:
This post delivers highly specialised therapy services as a substantive role in hand therapy. This includes the assessment and treatment of patients with traumatic hand condition/injuries and treatment/management for patients with chronic hand and wrist conditions.
The role is highly specialised due to the clinical complexity of patients managed within the service. A level of expertise and knowledge is required with regards to specific hand therapy assessments and interventions including hand, wrist and elbow splinting, exercise prescription, scar and oedema management and functional rehabilitation.
The caseload consists primarily of acute hand trauma, referred via the Plastic Surgery and Trauma and Orthopaedics Departments. The team also accepts referrals for patients from Rheumatology and local GPs. The team is also the specialist therapy team for the management of both trauma and congenital paediatric hand conditions.
This post also provides senior input to consultant and therapy led post operative clinics, providing clinical leadership and support.
The post holder will be involved in clinical audit, quality improvement and service development projects and initiatives. Additionally, the post holder will be responsible for the supervision, teaching and development of Band 6 rotational and static staff within the hand therapy team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Medical Receptionists to join our friendly team based across our two sites at the heart of Redhill and in Merstham. We have a part time position working Monday-Friday. This will be a combination of shifts either morning from 8:00-13.00 or afternoon from 13:00-19:00.

Main duties of the job

Daily administrative tasks will include booking appointments, prescription management, registering new patients, managing emails and and internal electronic tasks via our clinical system. Managing appointment requests and queries via our interactive website is a key part of this role as this is the main route of communication between patients and the practice. Opening and closing the surgery in line with our security protocols and maintaining oversight of the waiting room are other key responsibilities. EMIS Web is our clinical I.T system and Accurx is used as our digital messaging platform. Full training will be provided as part of the induction process.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide high quality services to the community who use the Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health (iCaSH) services across Cambridgeshire. You will be based at our site in Huntingdon.
You have, 'front of house', experience, with a demonstrable ability to develop a warm and welcoming rapport with people who use our services.
You have a keen eye for detail and have an understanding of the sensitivity and confidentiality involved in the delivery of a contraception, sexual health and HIV service.
You are required to hold a Care Certificate qualification, be trained to provide both phlebotomy, microscopy and chaperone duties, or demonstrate a willingness to undertake training.
The service operates, 8.30am to 6pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You must be willing to work across all parts of the service where appropriate and be able to meet the travel requirements of the Trust.
You will be part of a dynamic team who ensure the efficient and effective use of available resources, in meeting the contraception, sexual health and HIV care needs of people in Cambridgeshire.

Main duties of the job
To welcome patients and obtain relevant personal and clinical details as appropriate treating all such information as confidential.

Following training, provide a phlebotomy service for patients attending the services.
To undertake non-clinical duties in support of the admin team, for example undertake call taking and reception cover including 0300 number answering, registering patients and booking, support data collection and or general patient and non-patient administration.
Following training, undertake, read and interpret microscopy slides as directed by clinicians and appropriately document and communicate the associated findings, if required by the clinical service.
To be non-judgemental to all client groups regardless of age/ethnicity/religion.
Where local services require and following training and sign off, provide a service for asymptomatic patients requesting a routine sexual health screen.
Following training and being deemed competent to do so, to administer prescribed vaccines in accordance with service guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures, if required by the clinical service.

Main duties of the job
Delivering remote clinical assessments via telephone and digital platforms for patients with urgent and unscheduled care needs. Applying advanced clinical knowledge to assess undifferentiated presentations and manage risk effectively. Supporting clinical governance, contributing to service development, and mentoring colleagues. We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality Improvement to operationally lead the Trust's Quality Improvement portfolio and help embed a culture of continuous improvement across South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in inpatient mental health care and working with people experiencing acute mental health crises. They will be skilled in undertaking specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention with individuals presenting with a wide range of severe and complex mental health difficulties.
The post holder will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to develop psychologically informed understandings of crisis presentations, helping teams make sense of complexity and identify pathways towards recovery. The ability to formulate risk, make professional recommendations and contribute confidently to clinical decision-making alongside ward team is central to this role.
A key aspect of the role will be supporting and developing staff and will include supervision of junior staff. The post holder will also contribute to teaching, training, reflective practice groups, post-incident debriefs and psychologically informed consultations, helping to build the confidence and psychological skills of ward teams.
The successful candidate will represent psychology within a range of clinical, operational and strategic forums, offering psychological perspectives to case discussions, formulations, care planning and service developments. They will work in partnership with colleagues across inpatient services to promote best practice and enhance the quality of care for our patients.

Job summary
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the UK's leading University Teaching Hospitals at the cutting edge of clinical practice and research.
The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Imperial was formed as a result of the merger between the departments at St Mary's and Hammersmith Hospitals in 2010. The recognised areas of expertise in those departments has been retained and we offer all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery except for cardiopulmonary transplantation. There is specific expertise in complex aortic surgery, minimally- invasive surgery and mitral valve repair.In thoracic surgery, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (via multi-, bi-, or uniport) is routine for anatomical and lesser lung resection as well as in surgery for pleural and mediastinal pathology.
Following recent expansion, there are 4 substantive Consultant Thoracic Surgeons and 6 substantive Consultant Cardiac Surgeons at Imperial. The department has a 2 Specialty Doctors (1 cardiac, 1 thoracic), 2 NTNs and 7 Trust SpRs. We have developed a unique nursing role (Advanced Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioners) to support resident doctors on the wards. The elective thoracic work is supported by a team of 5 Lung Specialist Nurses and 2 x Pre-assessment nurses. A Hospital-at-Night scheme operates out-of-hours. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is run and staffed by the Directorate of Anaesthesia and Critical Care.
Main duties of the job
oPre-operative assessment and preparation of patients to undergo thoracic surgery, in outpatients, for urgent referrals (including emergency trauma cover at St Mary's site) and the specific cardiothoracic pre-assessment clinics
o Capacity to be a competent operating surgeon with direct or indirect supervision and also assisting the consultants in the operating theatres as required and providing training/supervision to more junior staff and Surgical Care Practitioners, as appropriate
o Continuing responsibilities for post-operative critical care of the patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery and subsequent Level 0/1 care on the wards
o Post-operative follow-up of patients in the outpatient, chest drain or would clinics, working with where indicated
o Partaking in the middle-grade on-call rota
o The accurate and timely recording of clinical data, both written & electronic, as outlined in the Principles of Good Medical Practice described by the GMC, participation in clinical audit and familiarity with Trust IT and information systems
o Communicating effectively with both junior and senior medical colleagues, nursing staff (including Clinical Nurse Specialists for Lung and Cardiothoracic ANPs for ward care), HCSs/AHPs and other hospital staff. Particularly good communication skills with patients, their relatives and carers.

Flexible Opportunities

Transforming Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an Emergency Department Receptionist to join the Emergency Care Directorate's Administration Team at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
As a part of this very busy team, the successful applicant is expected to be very flexible, have a pleasant personality and a positive approach to their work. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills. This individual will require excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with sensitive matters and highly confidential patient information.
Previous receptionist/administrative experience and knowledge of the Welsh Patient Administration System (WPAS) and Symphony is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Overtime is available.
Main duties of the job
The SDEC receptionist is responsible for providing an efficient front-line service to the Same Day Emergency Care Unit within the Emergency Quadrant. You are expected to deliver a high standard of customer care to a wide range of client groups including, patients, relatives and their carers whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
By the nature of the duties the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with staff, patients, carers and relatives with courtesy and discretion at all times.
