An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Receptionist to join our team in the Medical Education Centre at Basildon Hospital.
You will have a confident manner in both face-to-face and telephone communication, together with good IT skills. You will enjoy providing excellent customer care and have a passionate approach to your work.This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
- Act as first point of contact for visitors to the department, providing a welcoming environment, meeting and greeting all visitors and handling their enquiries professionally and helpfully
- Provide an excellent customer care service, including dealing with visitors, telephone and written enquiries for details of meetings, promotions, examinations, activities, training and development sessions and taking action as appropriate
- Liaise with key external organisations to ensure the smooth running of study days and other important events
- Assist with signing-in and refreshments at events
- Ensure any messages are passed to the appropriate person promptly
- Provide assistance in supporting an audio-visual service to meet the needs of the users, ensuring appropriate use of equipment at all times
- Report technical problems and undertake basic maintenance such as replacing microphones and batteries
- Work with internal and external customers to determine their needs for audio visual support during their event
- Support with the set-up of audio-visual equipment for training sessions and meetings
- Configure equipment to ensure it meets the requirements of the event

Job summary
The Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team in Southampton are truly multidisciplinary with practitioners from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
As a team, we support individuals with acute mental health needs requiring intensive input to remain in the community. The team also works collaboratively with our colleagues on the wards at Antelope House to help reduce the amount of time patients remain in hospital by offering support via hospital at home.
Our service provides a variety or clinical interventions to collaboratively tailor our care plans to each individual service user. These include psychological interventions, medication support, prescribing, access to group work and cares support.
This can be offered as either an internal staff secondment for current employees of HIOWH NHS FT or as a fixed term contract for external trust staff
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Practitioner in the team you will have a key function in assessing service users as they present in crisis and require an urgent response. Working with them to formulate a collaborative care or safety plan to aid there recovery and keep them safe. You will be integral to delivering a range of high quality interventions and undertaking the role of shift coordination.
You will need robust assessment skills to enable the team to deliver high quality crisis care. Excellent communication skills are also essential to enable you to be a role model for others, as well as positively representing the team and the organization as a whole.
You must also be able to liaise effectively with other services, both internal and external to The Trust, retaining service user focus at the heart of any clinical decision making to ensure the best outcome.

This is a high-profile opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Trust's ambition to reduce sickness absence and improve employee wellbeing and attendance. Working closely with managers, clinical services and the Employee Relations team, the post holders will drive improvements in attendance management and support the delivery of sustainable reductions in sickness absence through both proactive and preventative approaches.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for candidates with employee relations experience, service improvement, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to influence, coach and support managers in a complex organisational environment.

Main duties of the job
Duties include:
Covering reception desk, answering telephone calls, booking appointments via AccuRx triage system, dealing with patient queries, order prescriptions, process admin duties for clinical staff, general administration such as filing and liaising with other health care providers in a professional manner, and processing clinical letters through the Docman system. The duties are variable, depending on what is required on the day.

We are presenting the opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who enjoy working collectively in a supportive, enthusiastic and caring department.
The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery team provide services across Worcestershire at three of our hospital sites including Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Redditch and Kidderminster Treatment Centre.
The Consultant team comprises eight Maxillofacial Consultant Surgeons and five Consultant Orthodontists. The team is supported by four Specialty Doctors. The department is included in the regional training programs for both OMFS and Oral Surgery and has registrars from both rotations in addition to four Dental Core Trainees and Two Dental Foundation Trainees. A single post CCT Specialist in Oral Surgery further supports the team.
The medical and dental staff are assisted by an experienced and capable nursing team comprising RGNs, RDNs and CNS members.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to complement existing colleagues activity with a full time post with a specialist interest in skin cancer and Mohs surgery to continue to provide a high quality service across the two counties.
Clinical work will include general OMFS conditions and there is scope to develop the role and activities that will complement the forward direction of the department. Opportunities will also exist for interested candidates to in areas including clinical management and leadership, governance and postgraduate education and training. The recent opening on a Medical School in the city of Worcester provides exciting opportunities in undergraduate education

These are new posts aimed at expanding the department and developing front door (acute frailty) and short stay ward capabilities across the Trust. As part of Suffolk Primary Care, which is a group of 8 GP practices across Suffolk, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner preferably with a prescribing qualification to join our team at Derby Road in Ipswich who look after 19,400 patients. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our urgent, on-the-day care service, supporting both adults and children with a wide range of minor illnesses.
Derby Road have 2 sites, based in the heart of Ipswich, with close travel links to the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
The vacancy is for 20 hours a week on a Thursday and Friday 8-6.30pm. Flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays etc.
We have an established team with a strong focus on customer service and communication. We would love to hear from candidates with GP surgery experience although we would also like to hear from those that can show flexibility and a range of transferable skills.
The successful candidate should be able to work calmly and professionally as part of a team. You should have the ability to multi-task. A strong command of written and spoken English with an excellent telephone manner is a must. Good time management skills and the ability to follow protocols and or instruction and attention to detail is essential.

Main duties of the job
Work within professional boundaries to accurately examine and assess patients with an undifferentiated diagnosis, from a physiological, psychological and social perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.

We are looking to appoint a colleague who is specialised in device implantation including complex pacing, defibrillators and with experience in conduction system pacing. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Diabetes & Endocrinology service. We are looking to recruit a proactive, experienced and highly motivated individual to join our fast paced Care Group, providing support to the Head of Operations, General Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager based at Aintree Hospital.
The post holder must possess previous experience working operationally in an NHS setting and have excellent organisational skills, a high level ofcompetency in using Microsoft Office and ability to interrogate IPM, LIGHT and other IT systems and to work under pressure, prioritisingworkloads and meeting Trust and National deadlines.
Proven experience in management of a large number of staff would be beneficial, as the role requires line management and co-ordination ofadministration and clerical staff with varying aspects of roles across several areas. Previous experience of appraising staff would also bebeneficial.
Main duties of the job
The office manager will work closely both with management and admin teams within the care group. You will be expected to develop effective working relationships with colleagues both within and outside of the care group to help our improve outpatient performance.
Specific duties include producing and developing reports for outpatient targets, Referral To Treatment (RTT), new and follow up waiting lists andpartial booking reports and previous knowledge of managing outpatients and RTT Patient Tracking Lists (PTL) therefore would be essential.
You will work closely with the Medical Roster team to ensure Consultant, Middle grade and junior doctor cover is adequate for both outpatients and inpatients, to safely meet the needs of the service. You will be responsible for collating Junior Doctor rotas using Allocate, annual leave foradmin and secreterial staff, along with ward cover and on call rotas across the department.

Main duties of the job

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join medical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) within the Directorate of Urgent and Emergency Care at Oldham Care Organisation. This is a permanent, full time position 37.5 hours per week). An MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice is essential, however we welcome applications from newly qualified, almost qualified and experienced ACP's who have a real passion in admission avoidance.
SDEC boasts a diverse team of ACP's who are supported by medical and nursing staff. Autonomously assessing, investigating and managing same day emergency medical patients will be your primary role; also, you will in-reach into the Emergency Department (ED) as well as supporting referrals from GP's and NWAS. The ACP team together with the consultant Clinical Lead, the nursing team and clerical staff are committed to the ongoing success of SDEC through innovative pathway development and collaborative working, both in secondary and primary care. Essentially, we strive to ensure the right person receives access to the right care at the right time, by the right person.

Job summary
If you have an interest in Stroke and would like to support and enable stroke survivors to reach their full potential, both in their own homes and care settings then this is the job for you. We are looking for a speech and language therapist to work in our Stroke Early Supported Discharge Service. This job will allow you to broaden your knowledge base.
Stroke survivors often feel isolated and vulnerable after they are discharged from hospital. Our team is there to allay these fears and support stroke survivors at this difficult time, whilst also providing them with therapy and nursing support should they need it. On a day to day basis you will deliver speech and language therapy alongside our other speech and language therapists for people with communication and swallowing disorders following a stroke who have been discharged from hospital into the care of the ESD service for South East Essex

Main duties of the job
- To work within the local Early Supported Discharge for Stroke (ESD) Team to provide a 7 day a week rehabilitation programme for up to six weeks following discharge from hospital into the community. This is likely to include some weekend working.
- To liaise closely with the Speech and Language Therapy team on the Stroke Unit at Southend Hospital to ensure a smooth handover from the hospital into ESD.
- To work with the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service to ensure a smooth handover of those with longer term therapy needs at the end of their time with ESD.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- To use specialist skills in the management of patients with communication disorders and dysphagia following a stroke.
- To hold responsibility for own case load.
- To participate in clinical audit, protocol development, objective-setting etc as required by the SLT and ESD teams.
- To receive regular clinical and management supervision. Access to advice and support from a more senior SLT is available if required between supervision meetings.
- To undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and teams' clinical practice.

- Formulate and deliver an individual speech and language therapy treatment plan based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Part time Administration Assistant/Receptionist based at The Linden Centre, Chelmsford.
We are looking for someone with the ability and confidence to use their own initiative and prioritise tasks. The post holder must possess excellent communication skills and relevant administrative experience, must be flexible and have attention to detail.
The role will involve providing support to our clinical colleagues with administrative tasks by providing front line support, face to face and over the telephone. This role is Tuesday & Wednesday 9 am to 5 pm. We will offer you support, supervision, training and the opportunity for personal development.
You will also need to be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be given full training on the various systems that we use.
We are looking for someone with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care. The role will also include telephone calls and face to face contact with our patients and due to the nature of the services we carry out administrative support for, these can sometimes be distressing.
Successful candidates will be expected to provide services in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner.
Main duties of the job
COMMUNICATION
- You will be required to handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls to the multi-disciplinary clinical staff and managers in a polite and efficient manner. Receive and deal with telephone enquiries, responding appropriately to callers including high risk, abusive, threatening, depressed, suicidal and vulnerable clients and carers. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Record accurate messages and follow them up appropriately in accordance to department guidelines.
- To deal face to face with patients and families seeking further help/information and to be aware of the needs of the clients and to deal in an appropriate manner with clients who can be hostile, abusive or aggressive.
- To exchange confidential and/or sensitive information between staff, patients, and carers in person or on the telephone. The unpredictability of patients means that persuasive, reassuring, empathic, skills are required at all times.
- Deal with queries raised by patients, relatives, GP's or other healthcare professionals both internally and externally to the trust. These are often of a non-routine nature and involving complex issues such as medication and other clinical treatments where there are barriers to understanding due to the nature of the client group.
