Job summary
Are you an experienced commercial leader looking for an opportunity to shape the future of community healthcare? We are seeking an ambitious and relationship-focused Head of Commercial Services and Partnerships to lead ECCH's commercial development, partnership and bid activity at a pivotal time for the organisation.
This role will play a key part in securing the sustainability and growth of our NHS and community healthcare services through the development of compelling service propositions, successful contract renewals, strategic partnerships and new opportunities. Working closely with senior operational, clinical and corporate leaders, you will be at the forefront of identifying opportunities, influencing system partners and commissioners, leading major bids and tenders, and supporting the development of innovative service models that improve outcomes for patients and communities. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, requiring someone who can move confidently between executive discussions, partnership forums, commercial negotiations and bid development activity.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking Community Interest Company with a strong reputation for high-quality care, innovation and collaboration. If you are passionate about making a difference, thrive on building partnerships and have the drive to turn opportunities into successful outcomes, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The Head of Commercial Services and Partnerships provides senior leadership for ECCH's commercial development, partnership and bid activity. Working closely with operational, clinical and corporate teams, the postholder will identify, assess and develop opportunities that support service sustainability, business growth and improved outcomes for patients and communities.
The role is responsible for leading commercial opportunity development, coordinating bids, tenders and contract renewal submissions, supporting pricing and contract negotiations, and developing strong relationships with commissioners and system partners. The postholder will ensure opportunities are strategically aligned, financially informed, operationally deliverable and supported by robust governance. The role will also provide leadership to the commercial team, oversee partnership development activity, support senior decision-making through high-quality analysis and recommendations, and help translate organisational strategy into successful service developments, commercial opportunities and sustainable growth.
Please note, this position has the potential to be a hybrid role - there will be an option to work from home for some days - the pattern for this may vary according to demands of the job.
About us
ECCH is well established health care provider and has been successfully delivering NHS care within the community since 2011. We provide a range of NHS, community health and social care services predominantly across the easterly region of the Norfolk/Suffolk borders.
We are aligned to NHS terms and conditions, and offer many employee benefits, to find out more about us visit our website - www.ecch.org. At the heart of our ambition, we work in partnership with and for the community to become the provider and employer of choice for community healthcare.
We encourage you to apply as early as possible as this job may close earlier than the advertised closing date once enough applications have been received.
The Commercial and Transformation Directorate leads strategic development, service transformation, programme delivery, commercial growth and partnership working across ECCH. We work closely with operational, clinical and corporate teams to identify opportunities, deliver innovative projects, secure new business and develop sustainable services that improve outcomes for patients and communities. Ours is a collaborative, forward-thinking team that combines strategic vision with practical delivery to help shape the future of community healthcare.
