Job summary
The Research and Development Department have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for a motivated and experienced Clinical Research Practitioner to cover maternity leave.
You will be involved with the delivery of high quality mental health research across a range of studies within the Trust and the Research Delivery Network; North East North Cumbria within a busy and thriving research team that has a can do attitude. A Clinical Research Practitioner qualification or willing to train towards is essential. The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team and have excellent organisational and communication skills. Roles include the recruitment of participants, obtaining informed consent, and collecting the research data accurately. You will also use a variety of standardised research measures and update and maintain entries onto trial databases in accordance with relevant protocols and Good Clinical Practice guidelines. You will possess good leadership skills and are expected to supervise and support other research staff.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work Trust wide to ensure the research offer is available to all eligible service users, carers and staff in each locality covered by the Trust (Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire), therefore access to transport to meet this criteria is required.
The position is 37.5 hours per week , working Monday to Friday, until 28 August 2027.

We have an office base at Flatts lane Centre, Normanby. Middlesbrough and a specialist Clinical Research Facility at Foss Park Hospital, York. this post will be based at Flatts lane centre though occasional travel to the York site may be required, depending upon the needs of the service. dependent.
The Clinical research practitioner will work as part of the research team, liaising with the external study sponsor and Trust medical staff to ensure that all deadlines are met and that the study progresses according to the agreed timetable, and in accordance with the trail protocol adhering to the principles of Good Clinical Practice at all times.
The main duties for the role is to support and deliver high quality mental health research and support the delivery of commercial and non-commercial research studies within the Trust and the Research Delivery Network; North East North Cumbria. The role includes the recruitment of participants accommodating their needs and preferences, obtaining informed consent, and collecting the research data accurately. You will need to provide complex verbal and written information in the process of explaining study involvement.
In addition, responsibility is needed for identifying issues regarding the safeguarding of vulnerable adults who may be at risk and reporting all such concerns in accordance with Trust Safeguarding procedures, as well as utilising clinical skills in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 to determine each participants capacity to make the decision to take part in research.
The role includes working as part of a team or autonomously within the boundaries of the CRP framework and be expected to organise their workload on a day to day basis. The role also includes the the developing and promotion of the studies, which can be implemented through presentations, social media etc to service users, staff, carers and other organisations.
The roles also includes the planning and logistics of studies which requires complex and detailed forward planning, liaising with participants, staff and study teams to ensure adherence, deadlines are met and the study is progressing to the agreed timescales.
An awareness of the clinical governance framework and the relevant standards is required as well as the ability to demonstrate leadership through personal practice and acts as a role model to others.

The Clinical research practitioner will work as part of the research team, liaising with the external study sponsor and Trust medical staff to ensure that all deadlines are met and that the study progresses according to the agreed timetable, and in accordance with the trail protocol adhering to the principles of Good Clinical Practice at all times.
The main duties for the role is to support and deliver high quality mental health research and support the delivery of commercial and non-commercial research studies within the Trust and the Research Delivery Network; North East North Cumbria. The role includes the recruitment of participants accommodating their needs and preferences, obtaining informed consent, and collecting the research data accurately. You will need to provide complex verbal and written information in the process of explaining study involvement.
In addition, responsibility is needed for identifying issues regarding the safeguarding of vulnerable adults who may be at risk and reporting all such concerns in accordance with Trust Safeguarding procedures, as well as utilising clinical skills in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 to determine each participants capacity to make the decision to take part in research.
The role includes working as part of a team or autonomously within the boundaries of the CRP framework and be expected to organise their workload on a day to day basis. The role also includes the the developing and promotion of the studies, which can be implemented through presentations, social media etc to service users, staff, carers and other organisations.

Main duties of the job

The Department of Anaesthesia at Leicester General Hospital provides comprehensive anaesthetic services to a wide range of specialties, including obstetrics, elective orthopaedics, elective gynaecology, urology, general surgery, day-case surgery, and the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
Leicester General Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for urology and delivers major urological and gynaecological robotic surgery. The Pain Management and Sleep Medicine services are also based at this site.
The recently opened East Midlands Planned Care Centre (EMPCC) is now fully operational, providing day-case and 23-hour care across a broad range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, gynaecology, ENT, and ophthalmology. The hospital has a total of 18 operating theatres, including two located within the EMPCC.
Main duties of the job
To provide Consultant Anaesthetic cover for anaesthesia, elective and emergency surgery at UHL including preoperative assessment and postoperative care.

This is a 6 PA substantive Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Old Age Psychiatry: Newcastle North OAP CTT.
This service operates at the St Nicholas Hospital in Gosforth, There are close links with the other Newcastle older adults' community mental health teams and inpatient services, as well as the large all-age liaison psychiatry services at RVI, and the Universal Crisis team.
You will join an experienced and well-established OAP CTT service which provides assessment and treatment for older adults with both functional and organic mental illnesses.
You will join a skilled multi-disciplinary (MDT) workforce, including Consultant colleagues, Specialty doctor, resident doctors, non-medical prescribers, Nursing colleagues, Psychologist and Occupational therapist.
As a Consultant, you will know what it means achieve this by leading a team. Striving for a better service leads to a better you.
Working 6 PAs a week over 3 days alongside the multidisciplinary team, including SAS doctors, resident doctors, and wider clinical team, you will be the clinical expert from a medical perspective to ensure best practice care is delivered and support the team.

- The post holder will participate in the engagement, assessment, diagnosis and formulation of patients referred to the Newcastle North Older persons CMHT

As a Paediatric Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in CF you will work closely with the CF MDT to deliver physiotherapy support to children and their families across the acute and community environment. Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated HCA, to work within a forward thinking organisation that delivers a patient centered approach to supporting a diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea on patients as well as General Respiratory patients.
There are approximately 8,000 patients established on treatment for Sleep disordered breathing within the County Durham and Darlington area.
As a member of the sleep service you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of sleep disordered breathing to enhance the care that patients receive. This includes being able to provide life style advice, offer DVLA guidance and answer queries related to sleep disordered breathing.
This role will be predominantly hospital based at both BAH/UHND. You will be responsible for direct patient care and HCA led clinics both on a 1:1 and group capacity, telephone clinics for reviewing patients established on treatment. There is also an expectation to safely offer patient initiated follow up where necessary and liaising closely with other members of the sleep service.
You will also support the Respiratory Nurse Specialists within the Hospital Setting.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve both direct and indirect patient contact. You will work closely with the other members of the sleep service and relevant members of the MDT.
The service consists of both face to face and telephone reviews for both new diagnosis of patients and reviews of those established on treatment. It will also involve distributing new equipment, educating the patients and trouble shooting a variety of potential problems.
You will be responsible for supporting the senior sleep nurses with group sessions which include delivering a presentation to a small number of same sex patients and commencing treatment.
There is also the requirement to answer telephone and email concerns from patients and liaise closely with other members of the sleep service.
You may be asked to assist the nurses by performing physical observations, venepuncture, capillary blood gases and some administation.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the NHS Talking Therapies Service delivered jointly by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) and Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. The successful candidates will be joining a well-established service that continues to offer high quality; evidence based psychological interventions for our identified populations. The posts are for the Coventry, North Warwickshire & Rugby & South Warwickshire.
The PWP training programme is a 12-month course. The programme combines clinical competency development with academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust and Coventry University. Successful applicants will need to commit to the academic and competency development requirements of the course.
IMPORTANT:
If you are shortlisted for the trainee role, you will be entered into a two-stage recruitment process:
- You will receive an invitation from Coventry University to submit a short written exercise. You will receive details about the exercise by 28thSeptember, and will be required to send your completed submission to the university by 4thOctober.
All candidates that pass the written exercise will be invited to an interview which will be held jointly between Coventry University and the placement provider.
Main duties of the job
As a Trainee PWP, you will be a full time Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust employee within the NHS Talking Therapies service, whilst attending the PWP Training programme. You will be attending university for 2 days a week and at placement(base) 3 days a week.
On successful completion of the programme, trainees will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within a Talking Therapies service and will progress from a Band 4 Trainee PWP contract to a permanent Band 5 Qualified PWP contract.

We are looking for dynamic, visionary and hard-working candidates to join our expanding Respiratory Department. We are advertising a full time post for excellent candidates to join the COPD Team. The team consists of Band 6 and 7 Respiratory CNS's and Respiratory Specialists Physiotherapists. The team will be responsible for identifying and assessing inpatients in hospital. Suitable in-patients with an exacerbation of COPD who are from the Swansea Bay area will be supported at home by this team. The team also works with patients ,GPs and Virtual Wards to prevent avoidable admissions .The successful candidate will also support patients requiring Non Invasive Ventilation ( NIV ) in the Community
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be expected to work with colleagues to deliver a unified respiratory service across Swansea Bay UHB.
Wards are visited daily to identify and support patients who are suitable for an early discharge and patients are then followed up at home
The team manage a caseload of patients to provide education, teach self management skills and monitor recovery from acute exacerbations of COPD in patients homes
Education is encouraged in the team by formal education and an in house education programme.
The successful applicant will be supported via an agreed bespoke induction plan and at regular MDT meetings.
Support patients with COPD requiring NIV when new starts and during exacerbations. Previous experience of COPD and NIV is essential

Flexible cystoscopy (with state-of-the-art Olympus flexible cystoscopies), uro-dynamics, nurse-led and Consultant andrology clinics and intra-vesical chemotherapy clinics.
ESWL is provided by the regional mobile supplier and overseen by a Nurse Specialist with an associated Stone MDT.
Outreach clinics are held in the surrounding towns of Newmarket, Thetford, and Sudbury. The new appointment would be expected to undertake outreach clinics to fit with the rest of the department after consultation.
The eight-bedded intensive care unit has recently been substantially enlarged and upgraded. A high dependency facility has recently been opened. There is a 24-hour recovery unit attached to theatres.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit Band 3 Health Care Assistants. The team supports children with complex health needs in their own homes and schools. We are looking for confident innovative HCA's to join our Children's Complex Care team working across Birmingham.
You will participate in the provision of basic nursing care and specialist care for children who have a range of complex disabilities due to chronic disease, congenital abnormalities, trauma, or who are terminally ill and at the end of their life. The post holder will work as part of the nursing team and supporting the other members of the multi-disciplinary Team. The post holder may be required to work within the service user's home / a hospital / hospice / school, or day centre environment depending upon their individual needs at that time
Main duties of the job
The role involves delivering care to children in a variety of settings, including home and school. The successful candidate will be trained in a variety of clinical skills such as gastrostomy feeding, suction, oxygen therapy using a competency based framework. You will received continued support in the role.
You will need a good level of basic education including computer skills and at least NVQ level 3 in a child or young adult related subject or equivalent level of experience related subject. Experience working with children who are ventilated or have complex health problems would be beneficial but not essential. It is also important the successful candidate is innovative in providing play and learning opportunities for the children.

Ward 7A at St Bartholomew's Hospital is a busy and dynamic Cancer Day Unit, delivering high-quality care to a large number of patients in a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of the City of London.While the administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy forms the core of the role, there are excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression. Main duties of the job
To provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized, holistic patient care in conjunction with the inter-professional team.As a proficient practitioner in SACT care, the post holder acts as a professional role model and clinical teacher. He / she will also provide effective mentorship and supervision, participating in the education and training of nursing and non-nursing staff.He/she also takes charge of the Day Care Unit as required, liaising closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse with continuing responsibility. The post holder will be asked to perform the Clinic Nurse Role at times - coordinating all the prescriptions, blood tests and confirmations in advance, so that treatment production /dispensary occurs in a timely manner.
