Job summary
Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cardiac services department for a Clinical Audit Officer to join our team.
The successful individual will collect patient admission data to support benchmarking with best practice for the National Cardiac Outcome Research Centre UK. Working with the cardiac specialist nurse teams and the NCA audit department to evidence the key performance metrics that report standards of cardiac care delivered. We are looking for a candidate with who has proven experience of clinical audit and exceeds in analytic data collection, excel and pivot tables with high concentration levels and attention to detail, with experience of working to targets. Ideally the candidate will have and demonstrate understanding of National Heart Failure Audit and Myocardial Ischaemia National Audit Project. Previous experience of working within NCA IT structures is desirable but all training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder is expected to use their own initiative.
- To guide in planning and implementing the delivery of the National, regional and Alliance agenda.
- To undertake governance activity where required, production and dissemination of data in a variety of reporting methods.
- To retrieve raw data from a variety of sources, medical records and hospital information systems to record and analyse data, report and present at national, regional and Alliance level.
- To maintain current data systems to ensure that data collection is accurate, timely and complete and support the development of new systems.
- To provide and maintain established procedures for data validation and statistical analysis.
- To compile reports of relevant analysis/findings through both written reports and oral presentations.
- To represent the Directorate at meetings pertinent to current projects.
- To manage and prioritise work in line with agreed schedules.
- To attend national, regional and local meetings as required and feedback as appropriate.
- To be aware of and maintain the confidentiality of all information..
- To participate in the training of staff throughout the organisation in data collection, data systems, reporting and be part of developing the service further, including basic governance principles.
- To take responsibility for the health and safety of the post holder and others affected by their acts.
- The post holder will be required to undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as required

As a Bed Management Support Team Administrator, the main purpose of your job is to provide support to the Site Management Team.
You will also be responsible for gathering information for Oldham CareOrganisation and be a central point of contact for NCA, NWAS, ICB's and any other agency involved in bed capacity issues on the Oldham site.
This job is a part time position covering shifts across a 7-day rota.
Main duties of the job
- Receiving telephone calls from internal and external providers
- Monitoring bed management email inbox
- Compose and distribute reports to be shared with relevant parties
- Contact other sites for patients requiring repatriation
- Assisting other members of the Site Management Team
- Act as central point for all Oldham CO Bed management communication, both internally and externally
- To provide information and support regarding bed management activity and escalation procedures to the Trusts bed management team, site managers, NWAS and external providers
- Attend and participate in regular staff meetings
- Conduct yourself professionally in interactions with colleagues and stakeholders

Pharmacy experience is desirable, but full training is provided. Main duties of the job

Main Duties:
- Perform all aspects of medicinal stock management duties, including ordering, receiving, distribution, dispensing, selling, stock taking, date checking and destruction.

Main duties of the job
The Integrated Care Team Leader provides visible clinical and operational leadership to an allocated pod of colleagues and babies, children and young people (BCYP) and oversees the pods caseload, care planning, performance, competence and wellbeing, ensuring changing needs, risks and gaps are addressed or escalated.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide comprehensive administration support for the Audiology Service.

Main duties of the job
- To take telephone calls, booking appointments and answering telephone queries for patients of the hearing service as part of an established administration team.

- To respond pro-actively to patients' telephone queries and emails regarding appointments in an extremely busy and demanding office environment.

- To take triaged referrals from choose and book and add to Audiology Patient Management System.

Domestic Assistants are important members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital.The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment however full training will be provided and all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services .
Successful post holders will be expected to work shift pattern which includes weekends. All post holders will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
Main duties of the job
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the environment.
They will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of the situation.
They will ensure that communicaton channels are maintained between appropirate staff, visitors and patient groups with regard to departmental cleaning hygiene.
Post holders will be also be expected to be flexible to the needs of the service ensuring that a continuity of service is maintained whilst adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

The MOSAIC Service takes pride in developing our staff, and as a band 5 physiotherapist, you will have the perfect opportunity to develop your career within a large, innovative, and friendly MSK team that consists of experienced Physiotherapists, Advanced Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Exercise Practitioners.
As you join our team, not only will you have the guidance and supervision from our experienced staff, but you will also be able to develop your clinical skills within our MSK Triage Clinics, patient classes and external classes. Furthermore, as your career develops you will be able to tailor your career down MSK, orthopaedic, Pain or even within our FCP Service.
As a service, we are committed to a strong ethos of continuous professional development, and as well as, receiving structured supervision from our experienced staff, you will have regular in-service training from internal and external speakers.
The ability to travel between clinic locations is essential. The MOSAIC Services working hours are between 07:45 and 6pm, 5 days per week, but we are open to flexible working patterns for the right candidate.

The geriatric medicine team at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) is expanding and the future is exciting. We have recently developed our 5 day frailty SDEC service and are now expanding it to cover 7 days. We are also part of the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme (NNHIP) trial site and part of Surrey East which hosts one of the national Frailty collaborative hubs.
We are looking for a locum consultant colleagues to join our wonderful team. This post will work within our already established GEMINI team and current substantive consultants in post. This team uses an evidence-based approach to develop services which integrate medicine for the elderly into acute medicine, emergency medicine, surgery and the community. The GEMINI team currently support the management of patients in ED, frailty SDEC and in-patient elderly care wards.
Main duties of the job
We are now expanding this provision, and these new posts will be instrumental in supporting the development of this service. This will ensure we can run a frailty SDEC 7 days a week with direct admissions from GP referrals and SeCAMB as well as supporting wider in reach into all areas of the hospital where our group of patients need support from our service. It also means that we can align our developing service with the emerging neighbourhood model and future increase in community geriatric provision. We are also currently recruiting a number of ACPs and AHPs to support this service development. We are therefore looking for flexible, passionate team members, that are not limited by perceived boundaries in healthcare systems, and keen to work in an innovative environment.

Emergency Call Taker - Make a Difference When It Matters Most
A child is trapped beneath a fallen tree.Someone suddenly collapses and stops breathing.There's been a serious road traffic collision.A caller is standing on a bridge, overwhelmed and in crisis.
In moments like these, people dial 999.
As an Emergency Call Taker, you will often be the very first person a caller speaks to in some of the most difficult moments of their life. Your calmness, compassion, and ability to think clearly under pressure can make a real difference.
Can you stay focused when others are distressed?Can you ask the right questions, provide reassurance, and support callers through critical situations?
If so, this could be the role for you.
No two calls are ever the same. One moment you may be helping coordinate a life-saving emergency response, and the next you could be supporting a new parent through the safe arrival of their baby.
This is a fast-paced, challenging, and highly rewarding role where you will be part of a team dedicated to helping people when they need it most.
Main duties of the job
This role is based on-site and does not support remote working. You will need to work from our Emergency Operations Centre in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

- Must be 18+

The Digital, Data and Technology department has an opportunity for a Bank Staff Band 2 Call Handler/Switchboard Operators covering Nights and Days at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
To work as part of a team providing a comprehensive, high quality switchboard service to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Main duties of the job
Bleep long range pagers, giving numeric and verbal information, awaiting response and putting caller through to department as requested, if no response, monitor situation and take appropriate action.Carry out the various emergency procedures for cardiac arrest, fire, major incident, personal attack etc. and maintain records in accordance with standing instructions/operational procedures.Replace batteries for internal paging receivers, arrange a replacement pager if faulty and provide instructions to bleep holders on correct usage.

As a Ward Host, you will work closely with nursing teams to provide an excellent dining experience for patients. You will take meal orders, serve meals and drinks, support patients with their dietary, cultural and religious requirements, and ensure ward dining areas are clean, safe and welcoming.
We are currently recruiting for two Ward Host opportunities:
Flexible Ward Host - 22.5 hours per week Working across Summerlee Unit at Harry Sotnick House, St Mary's Community Health Campus, The Orchards and The Limes. Shifts will be allocated as required on any day of the week between 6:30am and 6:30pm to cover roster gaps.
Ward Host - 20 hours per week Based at Summerlee Unit, Harry Sotnick House, working a fixed shift pattern of Thursday to Monday, 2:30pm to 6:30pm.

Main duties of the job
*To ensure that a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times.
*Liaise on a daily basis with the patients regarding meal preferences and appetite, taking into account any cultural and religious choices.
*Discuss with the nursing staff patients' treatment plans in order to determine their effect on individual appetite / dietary requirements.
*Communicate daily with the catering staff regarding meal requests and in the absence of the catering team leader /supervisor, meet with the catering manager to plan meal requirements.
*Serve beverages and meals, ensuring patients are assisted with positioning of their meal and access to cutlery and condiments.
*Liaise with the catering department regarding new patients' menus and dietary requests.
*Manage snacks for patients, including snacks required off the ward e.g. for patients attending appointments at a different location, ensuring the snack is appropriate to the patient's needs (soft, pureed, diabetic etc.).
*Where appropriate and under the guidance of nursing staff, provide a system that enables each patient to have access to fresh water.
*Manage food stores appropriately, ensuring a range of drinks are available to offer patients during the 24 hour period, including out of hours food items for patients missing their meal for any reason.
*Under the supervision of hostess team leader /supervisor, complete daily documentation.
*Assist patients to complete menu cards and provide explanations regarding choice.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Families' Health and Wellbeing (FHWS) 0-19 Service delivering public health services to children and families across Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity that requires the Staff Nurse to work closely with multi-disciplinary teams in addressing a range of care and support issues across a spectrum of needs and preventing unnecessary hospital admissions. They will contribute to the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (0-19); ensuring key objectives and outcomes are achieved and to the improvement of the health and wellbeing of the population served. The nature of the service will be determined by local service specifications.

To assess children, young people, families and carers, care and /support needs. Formulates, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care and support. The care and support plans may include the following:

To take responsibility for the safe use and transportation of equipment between locations. To work in non-purpose built rooms involving the necessity to move furniture, therapy equipment etc.
To ensure that the skills of identified team members are appropriately deployed and that care is delivered by staff with the relevant education, experience and competence.

The Families' Health and Wellbeing Service (0-19) in Staffordshire have a full time vacancy in the Tamworth Strengthening Families team due to internal promotion. We are looking for a Health visitor or a School Nurse who strives to deliver the values and behaviours of our trust. We are seeking a person who will be caring and compassionate providing excellent support to parents and their families. You will encourage effective team working and develop others, ensuring the best outcomes through evidence based practice. The Strengthening Families team is part of the wider 0-19 Universal team and the successful applicant will work closely with families who have additional support from partner agencies. You will be an autonomous practitioner with the ability to manage your time and caseload effectively, having excellent analytical and documentation skills for report writing. You will have knowledge around all areas of Safeguarding children and be able to articulate a sound rationale for decision making and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safeguarding children. In return you will be professionally supported and empowered to deliver a child friendly service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of the 0-19 Families Health and Wellbeing Service providing public health advice, information, and guidance and supporting early intervention. In doing so, they will contribute to the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes of health, ensuring that they practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge.
They will work to professional codes, standards and guidance at all times ensuring that their practice is grounded in evidence based theoretical and practical knowledge.

The post holder will hold a caseload of children and young people who have safeguarding plans in place and will support the children, young people by assessing their health needs and ensuring the appropriate health professionals are involved to meet those needs.
