Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and people-focused Medical Secretary to join our welcoming and supportive GP surgery team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is confident in a busy environment and takes pride in providing an excellent service to both patients and colleagues. You will be an important part of our great team of Medical Secretaries, working together to support our GPs, nurses and wider administrative team to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day services.
We have both full time and part time positions available.
Main duties of the job
To provide general secretarial support to the GPs and other health professionals involving word processing, timely referral management, audio typing skills and general clerical work. Assists the management team in other clerical duties.

We are a large practice (circa 19000 patient population) based in the heart of the B&NES countryside. We have a large multidisciplinary team, supported by a range of clinical modalities including nursing, a pharmacy team, physiotherapy and home visiting practitioner.

Job responsibilities
To provide an efficient word processing and copy typing service for the GPs and other health professionals as required. Examples include: Letter typing, reports, referrals, etc in an accurate and timely manner
To maintain the referrals systems in place ensuring that all referrals are managed appropriately and in a timely manner.
To support patients who have queries with their hospital referral where the hospital is not able to help them directly.
To receive incoming and initiate out going telephone calls and emails in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries
To assist with all clerical and administrative duties
To make bookings, appointments and admissions as required including any related correspondence.
To establish and maintain a good filing system in line with practice policies both on the clinical system and in paper form as necessary, filing both incoming and outgoing correspondence.
To retrieve medical records and assist the completion of medical/ insurance records including liaising with the Finance Manager to ensure all invoices for work done are sent to the requestor in line with practice processes.
To maintain the computer clinical system in an accurate and secure manner
To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
To manage any incoming post to the practice, passing on to colleagues as appropriate.
To dispatch the post for the practice, including any parcels, packages or letters requiring the need to be taken to the post office.
To provide cover for members of the secretarial team during periods of sickness and annual leave
In liaison with colleagues, maintain adequate supplies of office stationery in order to perform the teams secretarial duties and support other areas of the practice.
Safeguarding Administration
Part of the safeguarding core team which consists of a safeguarding lead for adults, safeguarding lead for children and young people, compliance manager and HR manager, This team will need to work closely with and support the rest of the practice team.
- Monitoring of dedicated safeguarding inbox
- Efficient processing of inbound and outbound safeguarding requests
- Prepare all safeguarding reports for GP review in a timely manner
- Ensuring all MARAC and MASH requests are dealt with urgently
- Keeping a safeguarding tracker recording the time line for all documents received and sent out
- Responsible for Coding and distributing all safeguarding documents appropriately
- Responsible for update safeguarding template for each patient as appropriate
- Coordinate participation and preparation for safeguarding meetings
- Help complete the annual PCQOF and LES Quarterly Contract Returns

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist on a substantive basis as part of our comprehensive CAMHS Service in North Derbyshire, based across our two sites at Chesterfield and Buxton or solely in Buxton (depending on successful candidate's preference).

Main duties of the job
The post involves the receipt and preparation of tissue and fluid samples for microscopic analysis, including microtomy, embedding, staining, equipment maintenance and preparation for genetic analysis. This role is based in the slide production area of the department. Candidates must be comfortable handling a wide range of pathology specimens as part of routine laboratory work.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, well motivated individuals with experience in histological techniques and a good understanding of the role of Cellular Pathology in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. They should enjoy working as part of a team and possess keyboard skills, excellent communication abilities and flexibility to support service needs.Shift patterns are 7.5 hours Monday to Friday between the laboratory opening hours of 7am-6pm, with participation in a Saturday rota. Main duties of the job
Help Me Quit is looking to appoint a motivated individual that is dedicated to delivering an excellent client-centred service in which you can play a key role in helping smokers and vapers across Wales make one of the most important changes for their health.
The Hub is responsible for booking smokers and vapers into various Help Me Quit Stop Smoking Services across Wales, and is the central point of contact for all incoming queries.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills; a professional and calm telephone manner; be non-judgmental, and will have the ability to work well both within a team and on their own initiative.
The Hub operates over a 6 day working week (Monday - Saturday), with working hours being 9am-8pm Monday and Wednesday, 9am-6pm Tuesday and Thursday and 9am-5pm Friday to Saturday, so you would work on a rota basis with other members of team. Shifts you will be required to work are one 12pm-8pm shift on either Monday or Wednesday which will be home working, one 10am-6pm shift on either Tuesday or Thursday from CQ2 and 9am-5pm shifts on other days from CQ2. You will receive an OFF day during the week when you are scheduled to work a Saturday shift.

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join the Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist team. The post holder will support the delivery of a robust, efficient and timely pathway for patients referred via the Two Week Wait (2WW) colorectal and anal cancer pathway.
The role will involve coordinating and facilitating straight-to-test diagnostic investigations, supporting the delivery of the 28-day Faster Diagnosis Standard for patients with suspected colorectal and anal cancer. This role requires a high level of autonomous practice, clinical decision-making and professional judgement. Main duties of the job
- Provide expert clinical support, nursing care and professional leadership to patients referred through the suspected Lower Gastrointestinal (LGI) cancer pathway.
- Assess and manage new referrals within nurse-led clinics, making informed clinical decisions regarding investigations, treatment pathways and onward care.
- Coordinate and facilitate a safe, effective and timely diagnostic pathway for patients referred with suspected colorectal cancer, ensuring a high standard of patient-centred care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across primary and secondary care to support seamless patient journeys and optimise pathway performance.

Job summary
East Midlands Cancer Alliance has provided 12 months' funding for Band 7 Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) posts within Breast Services at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN). These roles will support the development of a sustainable Breast ANP workforce, enhance the Northamptonshire Breast Pain Pathway, increase clinic capacity across both breast units, improve patient flow through the Two-Week Wait (2WW) pathway, and contribute to achieving Faster Diagnosis Standards.
The post holder will be an NMC-registered nurse who holds, or is willing to work towards, a Master's-level qualification. Working under the supervision of experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Breast Care Nurses, they will develop advanced clinical knowledge, assessment skills, and clinical decision-making capabilities.
The role will involve supporting patients across 2WW, follow-up, post-operative and mastalgia clinics at Kettering General Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, Nene Park Outpatients Department, and community settings. The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, consultant colleagues, and the Lead ANP to develop clinical competencies and contribute to the ongoing development of breast services.

As a Senior Pharmacy Technician your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service within the HMP site based on National (Divisional) policies supported with local standard operating protocols, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security..
- Be an integral member of the Pharmacy Team, who forms part of the wider Cluster of Healthcare Services. The ME/CFS Service is a therapy-based service dedicated to working with people who have a diagnosis of ME/CFS, or persistent fatigue based at the Newsam Centre, Seacroft Hospital. We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist who will join the team on a permanent basis.
As an OT in the service, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a well-established MDT offering patients initial assessments, robust clinical formulations, individual treatment/therapy, and group-based interventions either face to face or via remote platforms.
The successful candidate will be offered strong support structures including a robust induction, MDT working, professional development, reflective practice, and clinical & management supervision.
This is a clinical area with exciting and emerging research developments, and you will expand your skills and knowledge base working with this client group. Main duties of the job
This role requires the candidate to undertake comprehensive assessments of both physical and mental health issues and offer evidenced based interventions for this client group, including using activity and fatigue management approaches. Your day in the life of a Healthcare Assistant
As a Healthcare Assistant at HealthHarmonie, you will be supporting our 2 Week Wait, Dermatology contract across the Midlands, primarily around Birmingham. You will be responsible for collecting stock and equipment for the clinic, setting up examination rooms for clinicians, and acting as a chaperone during patient consultations and procedures. Additionally, you will take on administrative duties, ensuring all reports are completed with outcomes and providing support related to administrative tasks. Your support will ensure the smooth functioning of the clinic and contribute to providing a compassionate and efficient healthcare experience for our patients.
Please note our service operates seven days a week and you will be required to work 5 out of 7 days. Shift patterns are generally between 07:00/07:30 - 17:30/18:00.
Our Clinic locations are nationwide and include Manchester, Birmingham, Hereford, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Telford, Worcestershire, Stoke, Staffordshire, Doncaster, Nottinghamshire, Wrexham, Gloucestershire, Reading, Frimley, Slough and Bassetlaw. Speech and Language Therapist Band 5 (rotational post) - Princess Royal University Hospital & Orpington Hospital Sites
The post offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive acute inpatient team in Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. King's offers high quality Band 5 rotations including Acute Medicine and Stroke on the PRUH site and Neuro-rehabilitation based at Orpington Hospital.
The successful applicant will provide Speech and Language Therapy within each clinical specialty, remaining within each area for 9 months. This will allow the opportunity to develop a wide knowledge base and range of skills, alongside specified learning objectives for the rotation and ring-fenced learning time to achieve these.
The acute SLT team works closely with the wider multidisciplinary teams. The SLT service offers a comprehensive supervision and CPD structure with a range of opportunities for learning and participation in both self and service development. There is a strong emphasis on the management of both communication and swallowing difficulties and the impact of SLT within the acute setting. This post requires a flexible approach to working and will require the post holder to work as part of a rota'd seven day working pattern. We provide a weekly videofluoroscopy clinic.
Main duties of the job
The band 5 Speech and Language Therapy post involves rotation across 3 clinical areas - a) Stroke, b) Medicine, c) Neuro-rehabilitation
The post holder will provide Speech and Language Therapy services within a clinical specialty, remaining within eacharea for a maximum of 9 months. This will allow them the opportunity to develop a wide knowledge base and range of skills. Line management will be provided by the relevant senior therapist depending on the rotation.
