Job summary
Are you a dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) looking for a new challenge within a diverse and rewarding healthcare environment?
Do you want a role where you can combine your primary care, urgent and emergency nursing skills, develop your clinical experience and make a genuine difference to patients with often complex and unmet healthcare needs - while retaining your NHS Pension?
At HMP Humber, no two days are the same. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a unique and varied environment.
The role offers the opportunity to work autonomously, develop a broad range of clinical skills and work closely with colleagues across primary care, mental health, substance misuse and the wider prison establishment.
While the role requires confidence in managing a varied range of clinical situations, you will not be working in isolation. You will be supported by experienced colleagues, local induction and ongoing training to help you develop the knowledge and skills required to work safely and confidently within the secure healthcare environment.
With access to a wide range of training and development opportunities, this is an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to broaden their experience and continue developing their career within secure healthcare.
Main duties of the job
The role includes delivering nurse-led clinics, administering medications and treatments, responding to medical emergencies, undertaking triage assessments, wound care and physical health assessments, and making referrals to specialist services where appropriate.
You will manage a varied caseload and work both independently and as part of the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive safe, effective and person-centred care.
The role requires sound clinical knowledge, good decision-making skills, excellent communication and the ability to adapt to a busy and varied healthcare environment.
You will work closely with colleagues across primary care, mental health, substance misuse services and the wider prison establishment, helping to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes for patients.
If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and are looking for a role where you can use and develop a broad range of nursing skills while making a positive difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
About us
At Spectrum Community Health CIC, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to some of the most vulnerable and underserved communities, while creating a workplace where colleagues feel valued, supported and able to develop.
We are proud to be an employee-led social enterprise, guided by our values of Working Together, Integrity, Respect and Recognition, Compassion and Innovation.
We offer a supportive and inclusive working environment, access to the NHS Pension Scheme, a range of wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for learning, professional development and career progression.
We are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We are particularly keen to encourage applications from groups currently underrepresented within our workforce.
By joining Spectrum, you will become part of an organisation focused on reducing health inequalities, improving patient outcomes and delivering high-quality care to the communities we serve.
