Job summary
Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a practice nurse to join our nursing team.
We are looking for a highly capable, organised, enthusiastic and motivated person. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, supporting the delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient care.
The successful candidate will lead the management of long-term conditions, screening programmes, oversee infection prevention and control standard and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing services within the practice. They will play a key role in supporting the nursing team and will help to develop their skills.
We would be keen for the successful candidate to have their prescribing qualification but this is not essential.
The role is part time, we are looking for 24 - 28 hours to be worked over 3 days. These hours are negotiable.
Main duties of the job
Main duties are as follow:
- Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team and support high quality delivery of patient care. Support nurses, nurse associates, healthcare assistants and student nurses through supervision and mentorship
- Act as the practice infection prevention and control lead, ensuring compliance with national and local standards
- Lead the management of patients with long term conditions, including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Heart Failure
- Deliver chronic disease reviews, child immunisations, vaccinations, cervical screening and health promotion activities
- Contribute to clinical audits and service development projects
- Support the practice QOF achievement
About us
Gainford Surgery is a well established GP surgery located between Barnard Castle and Darlington. Our surgery is proud to have received a 100% approval rating in the 2026 national GP patient survey, reflecting our commitment to high quality, patient centred care and a supportive working environment.
Our practice list size is approximately 3800 patients. We currently have 3 GP partners, 1 GP registrar, 1 Lead practice nurse, 1 practice nurse and 1 HCA.
We work within the Teesdale PCN and through the PCN we also benefit from working with pharmacists, first contact physiotherapists, mental health support workers (adult and children), nurse associates, care coordinators and social prescribers.

Job summary
Required to fill this replacement post within the Paediatric Respiratory Department at the Leeds General Infirmary. This is an 8.75PA substantive consultant post supporting the Paediatric Respiratory team (Dr Tim Lee, Dr Chris Edwards, Dr Alex Adams, Dr Emma Guy, Dr Evie Robson, Dr Laura Walker). You must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Cystic Fibrosis, and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. It is desirable that the candidates have experience in bronchoscopy, sleep and long-term ventilation. The post will be based at Leeds Childrens Hospital. All of Leeds tertiary paediatric services take place in the Leeds Childrens Hospital, within Leeds General Infirmary in Leeds city centre which has excellent transport links. Since April 2010 the regional paediatric respiratory service has been based at a purpose-built outpatient facility within the Childrens Hospital. Leeds is also the nationally commissioned supra-regional centre for childrens Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) for the North of England.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant should possess MRCPCH (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register. Applicants should have established skills in all aspects of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and its related specialties including bronchoscopy, sleep and long-term ventilation. A strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a research interest is desirable. Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work part time and those wishing to job share. There are over 270 paediatric inpatient beds, with a dedicated respiratory ward. Tertiary referrals are received in cystic fibrosis, respiratory paediatrics, oncology, haematology, PICU, neurology, gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology, transplant (liver, renal BMT), paediatric intensive care, neonatology, cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, spinal surgery, paediatric and neonatal surgery. The service also has good links with the allergy, diabetes and paediatric ENT teams. We provide a Respiratory Service to a city population of 780,000, and a regional population of 3.8 million. The Leeds/Sheffield training program offers comprehensive training to fulfil the requirements of the Paediatric Respiratory Medicine grid training syllabus.

Arrange, cover and co-ordinate the weekly/fortnightly/monthly MDT meetings for designated specialties to ensure they are run in accordance with the MDT requirements for Cancer Services - this includes meetings outside of the main treatment MDTs, such as, Diagnostic MDTs.
Ensure all areas of the MDT are prepped in line with the requirements of the MDT, specific list needs, imaging and all required documentation as well as arranging where required pre and post MDT meetings
Ensure that all required cancer outcomes and service data set (COSD) and Audit data is captured during the MDT meeting and transferred onto Somerset - this will include Staging Data, Performance scores, CNS present at diagnosis, next steps and other vital data. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recruitment Facilitator to join the NIHR Clinical Research Facility: Oxford Health (CRF) on a secondment basis. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Optometrists keen to enhance their knowledge and extend their skills by joining our team of Consultant Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Imaging and Nursing staff working in the Retinal Treatment Clinics based at the purpose-built Community Stadium in York.
Please note: This post is for 7.5 hours to be worked on a Tuesday.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated Optometrists with an interest in AMD, DMO and RVO who would be keen to undertake an extended role in these specialised clinics.
The role entails the assessment of patients attending the RTC service to determine if treatment is required,
The successful applicants will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside Consultant Ophthalmologists, using advanced clinical techniques and skills to undertake assessment of new patients and follow up patients attending the RTC and Macular Clinic, prior to treatment.
The successful candidates will need to hold a BSc in Optometry and be registered with the General Optical Council.
Practical knowledge of AMD, DMO and RVO, its assessment and treatment are required but relevant training will be provided to fulfil the needs of the post. Prior knowledge and experience of undertaking and interpreting OCT's is desirable but not essential.

To conduct research in NIHR portfolio studies in the priority area of: Cardiovascular disease.
Excellent opportunity for a resident doctor interested in 12 months of full-time cardiovascular research activities at Lancashire Cardiac Centre, a UK regional centre providing tertiary cardiology services to Lancashire and South Cumbria. Activities would include:
1. Opportunity to act as sub-investigator and provide medical cover as part of a multidisciplinary team for commercial and non-commercial clinical research studies, delivering those studies safely, on time and to target, complying with the regulatory requirements.

You will play a central role in shaping the skills and confidence of our workforce, delivering structured training programmes, refresher sessions, classification updates, and specialty workshops. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the Head of Clinical Coding to develop, deliver and continuously improve the Trust's clinical coding training service. You will ensure that all clinical coders are confident, competent and supported in their roles, while promoting adherence to national quality standards and information governance requirements.
This includes designing and delivering a structured internal induction programme, creating and facilitating specialist workshops, delivering approved National Clinical Coding Standards training, and providing mentorship to both senior qualified coders and those undertaking the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC).
Working collaboratively with the audit team and wider leadership group, you will identify learning needs, develop targeted action plans and implement SMART recommendations to drive improvements in coding quality, accuracy and consistency across all specialties.
You will act as a subject-matter expert, offering authoritative advice on complex coding queries and applying national standards in ICD-10, OPCS-4 and associated guidance. You will also support the implementation of new standards and classification updates.

Job summary
Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for supporting healthcare services? We are looking for a dedicatedCoordination Support Administratorto join ourUrgent Community Response (UCR) Teams), working cross site you will need to be able to work out of either our Eastbourne or Hastings bases.
These vital roles are key to the smooth and efficient delivery of community care, enabling patients to receive homecare support that prevent hospital admissions and enables earlier hospital discharge. You will be at the core of our fast-paced service, coordinating patient visits and overseeing caseload management with support from Duty Coordination Leads.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide valuable administrative support to these teams, with responsibility for a range of tasks including; answering catheter phones, managing the ordering of uniform, clinical stock, PPE and office supplies, managing staff personnel files, supporting with data extraction and contributing to daily reports, as well as providing ad hoc administrative support to staff as required. The post holder will work closely with administrative colleagues as well as Team Leads and Service Managers in order to contribute to efficient and effective processes across the services.
