Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamicConsultant Urologistwith a specialist interest in Upper Tract Surgery, to join our expanding Urology team.
A Consultant is a senior and experienced clinician who works autonomously in one of the medical or surgical specialties and manages the delivery of care by other doctors (for example resident and some SAS doctors).Consultants serve as experts in their specialty and they have responsibility for the care of patients referred to them, even when care is carried out by others. A key aspect of the role is leading multidisciplinary teams delivering care. This involves being able to take an overview of the care pathway and managing other team members accordingly. Consultants are expected to be involved in the teaching and training of students and resident doctors, and to contribute to their specialty field through research and leadership.
There will be a Technical Specification Interview held on Friday 23rd October via teams for applicants who get through the application process.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will:
Ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintained.
Working with your clinical director you will complete the in the attached job plan
Be responsible and accountable for the effective use of Trust resources that you use and influence, and professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
Participate in the Consultant Peer Support Scheme ensuring personal attendance, when invited, at the Consultant Development Programme during your first year in post.
Be responsible for the clinical management of patients under your care.
Teaching and Training
With our team of Consultants, you will share responsibility for the recruitment, appointment and supervision of junior medical staff.
You will assign time to teaching and training of junior medical staff, contributing to post-graduate and continuing medical education. You will support the training of medical students as part of agreed teaching agreements with Hull York medical school.
Management and Governance
As a Consultant Urologist you will be responsible for the management, appraisal and discipline of junior doctors who are attached to you.
You will provide advice, as required, to the Executive and Trust Boards and to General Practitioners and other interested parties, on the provision and planning of clinical services locally, regionally and nationally in keeping with confidentiality agreements relating to Trust business.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Practitioner you will be providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders and working as part of the Mental Health In-Reach Team, plus wider mental health services. You will be required to work in a psychologically minded way with offenders in achieving their agreed goals and quality health outcomes.
Our Mental Health Team provide specialist interventions at primary and secondary care level including; referral management, screening assessment, triage, evidence-based interventions, care planning and risk assessing, plus one-to-one and group-work facilitation.
Our Mental Health Practitioners manage a mixed and challenging caseload and are required to perform robust assessment, screening and interventions to offenders with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. You will contribute to alternatives to inpatient admission and assisting with early discharge through the implementation of high intensity interventions and complex case management arrangements.
One of our key aims is to ensure continuity of care for an offender on ordinary location and reduce the length of stay, both in relation to prison inpatient services and external NHS/independent in-patient services. You will work closely with community mental health teams to ensure appropriate sharing of information, continuity of care and the Care Programme Approach for all offenders as necessary.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 physiotherapist looking to progress to the next step to become a Band 6 physiotherapist in in-patient rehabilitation. The post holder will work at the Homeward Centre, a short-term rehabilitation unit on the Good Hope hospital site. It is essential the post holder has good clinical skills, communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have good organisational and time management skills, problem solving skills and an enthusiasm for service development.
The Band 6 Physiotherapist will manage a clinical caseload and will undertake a lead role in assessing, treating and discharge planning. They will work closely with the MDT at the Homeward Centre and therapy teams across the Good Hope site.
A Band 5/6 development post will be considered for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
The Homeward Centre is a 25-bedded therapy and nurse led unit for patients that are medically stable for discharge but still have therapy or care needs to be discharged home. A B6 physiotherapist in The Homeward Centre will provide an invaluable opportunity to gain experience in rehabilitation in an acute setting. You will support patients to achieve their therapy goals with the aim for discharge home. The Homeward Centre accepts patients from all specialties so the patient caseload will be varied with opportunities for service development in new clinical pathways. You can expect to gain experience in functional assessments, running exercise classes, falls prevention management and complex discharge planning. You will join an experienced therapy team and will be expected to participate in the weekend rota and in-service training programme.

Document all engagement in the patient electronic notes to ensure the clinical team is kept up to date with patient participation in activities.
Contribute to the regular updating of individual activity timetables for patient which offer a range of activities on an individual and group basis dependent on the patients needs. This can be subject to regular change.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sonographer to join the expanding Ultrasound Department at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. Applicants must hold a PGDip in Medical Ultrasound and be competent in core ultrasound services including General Medical (including paediatrics), Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Candidates practising solely in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy Care (EPC) are also encouraged to apply.

The L&D Ultrasound Service comprises General Imaging and the Women's Health Unit, supported by a friendly team of qualified and trainee sonographers. The department actively promotes continuing professional development (CPD), with regular participation in clinical governance and audit activities.
Facilities include 13 ultrasound rooms across the General Department, Women's Health Unit and Early Pregnancy Unit, equipped with modern Samsung RS80 EVO and Hera W10 systems, supported by an ongoing equipment replacement programme.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Phlebotomist to join our team at the Southport and Ormskirk sites for 17.5 hours per week.
Applications are invited from flexible, hardworking individuals for this part-time post. Previous phlebotomy experience is desirable but further training will be given on appointment.

Working closely with the Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Nurse, you will lead a team of highly specialised practitioners, including Named Nurses, driving excellence in safeguarding practice across the Trust and ensuring the safety, rights and wellbeing of some of the most vulnerable individuals in our care.
Main duties of the job
As the Trust's senior safeguarding and complex health lead, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership for safeguarding and complex health services across the organisation.
- Develop and deliver policies, protocols and improvement plans that ensure compliance with national legislation and guidance.
- Act as the Trust's expert adviser on safeguarding children and adults, domestic abuse, mental capacity, mental health legislation and related complex health issues.
- Lead organisational responses to safeguarding concerns, allegations against staff and serious case reviews.
- Represent the Trust at multi-agency safeguarding partnerships, boards and regional networks.
