Job summary
The postholder will join a friendly and supportive Financial Services team, working within the Trust Cash Team to help maintain strong financial control across the organisation. You will be responsible for processing financial information in line with established procedures and providing reliable, professional accounting support to ensure the accuracy of the Trust's main exchequer accounts and other areas including patient funds.
To support the cashier functions across the organisation
To contribute to the production of the Trust's annual statutory accounts and carry out tasks related to the annual audit
Main duties of the job
- Manage the reconciliation of control accounts within the team
- Support the Trust Treasury Management activities
- Manage and support the Senior Finance Assistant, Finance Assistant and Finance Trainee within the Cash Team
- Ensure all patient affairs and cashiering tasks are undertaken promptly and accurately, liaise with the service in respect of patients for whom the Trust is corporate appointee.
- Liaise with cashiers across the Trust providing guidance and support for any cash related issues or queries
- Suggest changes to and implement accounting and financial policies and procedures in own area
- Oversee and supervise the daily activities of colleagues within the cash team (3 direct reports)
- Ability to work with limited guidance and instruction whilst maintaining professional and organisational standards
- Provide a key role in the year end accounting processes

What is a Theatre Support Worker?
This is an entry role into theatres that provides essential support to the surgical team by caring for the patient accompanying them throughout their surgical journey. You will support colleagues with tasks, essential to the smooth running of the theatre, and help to ensure each member of the team is able to do their job effectively.
You will be a friendly reassuring face, making a vital difference to patients by helping them to feel as calm, comfortable and prepared as possible when they may be anxious about going into the operating theatre.
Working flexibly as part of the team, youll be responsible for undertaking movement of patients, cleaning and general duties, helping to check the theatre and open equipment and items needed by the operating theatre team.
As a member of the theatre support staff, you'll also:
- move patients on trolleys
- reassure family members
- prepare patients for anaesthetic
- set out instruments and equipment ready for surgery
- make sure the department has stocks of items needed
- clean and tidy theatre areas after surgery

You dont need experience, but need a good level of English and Maths. Job summary
We are looking for a compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive Diabetes and Endocrinology ward.
The ward provides care for patients with a wide range of acute and complex medical conditions, alongside specialist care for people living with diabetes and endocrine disorders. This provides an excellent opportunity to develop broad acute medical nursing skills while gaining specialist knowledge and experience in diabetes care.
You will work within an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and individualised care throughout the patient journey, from admission and assessment through to treatment, recovery and discharge.
Previous diabetes experience is not essential. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified nurses who are motivated to learn, develop their clinical skills and contribute positively to our team.
We offer a supportive working environment with induction, preceptorship where appropriate, ongoing education and opportunities to develop specialist knowledge and clinical competence.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, effective and individualised nursing care for patients with a range of acute medical, diabetes and endocrine conditions. Experience of VRII/FRII is advantageous.
You will be responsible for an allocated group of patients, prioritising care according to clinical need and recognising and escalating deterioration appropriately. You will administer medications safely, develop competence in diabetes and insulin management and support patients to understand and participate in the management of their condition.
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to treatment planning, complex discharge planning and safe and timely patient flow. You will communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues and maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical documentation.
As your experience develops, you will support the coordination of the ward, supervise and support nursing assistants and students, and contribute to the development of less experienced colleagues.
You will maintain high standards of fundamental nursing care, infection prevention, safeguarding, pressure-area care and falls prevention, while actively contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, audit and learning from incidents and patient feedback.

Microvascular Surgery Clinical Fellow post (SpR / ST6+ Level) in Lower Limb Reconstruction
We wish to appoint a 1x Clinical Microsurgical Fellow - Specialty Registrar Level in Plastic Surgery with a special interest in lower limb and microsurgery in general. 1x post will commence on February 2027 for a 6 month fixed term contract.
Main duties of the job
Expectations of the position - The successful candidate will be in year 7 / 8 of plastic surgery training (or equivalent), have passed FRCS (Plast) or equivalent and will have special interest in microsurgery reflected in the application form.
The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and to undertake clinical audit projects. The successful candidate will be expected to attend specialist clinics in ortho - plastic surgery.
This post is recognised for training by the Specialist Advisory Committee in Plastic Surgery and has Royal College Approval.
Candidates must have GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training. It is essential that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent.

Job summary
The role involves dietetic assessment and support in a variety of clinical contexts including community hospital inpatients, a general clinic and you will also participate in the care of patients who are home enterally fed.

There is an exciting opportunity to join, the Mental Health Assessment and Intervention Team. The service was set to provide high quality care for people experiencing mental health problems in Plymouth and has proved a success across the city. The service will offer evidence-based treatment pathways for people that require more support than can be offered in Primary Care Services and voluntary agencies within the community. The role will develop more effective links with primary care and third sector agencies to support those people.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to recruit experienced and flexible with excellent networking skills to join the team. This post will offer a challenging and exciting opportunity to gain experience of working across Livewell's Core mental Health Service, working across a variety of settings such as GP surgeries, and Community hubs developing relationships with Primary Care, partner agencies and secondary mental health services. You will have the opportunity to deliver evidence-based recovery focussed mental health interventions.
The CMHS pathway provides a variety of opportunities for clinical support and development, including a tailored induction programme, regular multi -disciplinary team meetings, monthly individual supervision, and regular multi-disciplinary caseload supervision. As a member of the Core mental health teams, you will also contribute to service developments at the quarterly meetings.

Job summary
A position has arisen for a full time Assistant Practitioner Role in research working in the perioperative, CCU and surgical unit. The research portfolio is expanding and this exciting position is required to support the research nurses in clinical trial delivery. Main duties of the job

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated DSN to join the innovative Barts Health NHS Trust Young Adults Diabetes Service. This mobile service will also comprise a Dietician, Clinical psychologist, Youth Worker, Social Prescriber, and administrator.
This exciting new post has been developed to improve diabetes care and outcomes for young people (age 16-25) with diabetes across North East London. The post holder will support young adults who may be struggling with a range of difficulties related to living with diabetes, as they make the transition to adult services. The work will be with young adults living with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
The post holder will have scope to develop the service, with the support of more senior colleagues and in collaboration with service users.The post will have a base at Mile End Hospital, but the job will involve working across all of the Barts Health sites (Whipps Cross Hospital, Newham University Hospital, the Royal London Hospital, and St Barts Hospital), and ensuring that standardised, high-quality care is delivered across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
Work closely with the ED nurse coordinator(NIC), Emergency Physician in Charge (EPIC) and the wider team to support patient flow, in line with national Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the EUC Operations Team Leaders, your role will be to understand the IT hardware needs of departments and CSUs across the Trust as well as the day-to-day needs of the EUC Operations Team. This will involve advising on the availability of equipment, liaising with suppliers, ordering equipment and software (in response to Service Desk tickets), keeping up to date with the latest technology, maintaining the EUC Hardware Catalogue, stock control and record-keeping, liaising with waste contractors to ensure sustainability and environmental objectives are being met, and assisting with the EUC Hardware Refresh Programme. In return, we can offer you a varied, interesting, and challenging role working as part of a fantastic team, striving to deliver a fantastic service which, ultimately, contributes to improved patient care. This post provides scope for development, insofar gaining technical knowledge to allow potential progression within EUC and beyond.

A permanent vacancy has arisen within the Estates & Facilities Directorate for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Technician to join Barts Health NHS Trust. Key responsibilities will include:

Undertake testing, inspection and statutory compliance activities (e.g., pressure systems, water hygiene tasks).
Support minor installation works across the retained estate.
Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with relevant regulations and Health & Safety guidance.

A formally recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Completed apprenticeship in Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC or Building Services Engineering.

Our paediatric elective work includes a range of clinical specialities; ENT, Dental, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastics, General and Neonatal Surgery, Ophthalmology.
As part of your development you will have the opportunity to work in our adult inpatient theatres on a three month rotation. During the rotation you will gain invaluable trauma experiences and increase your knowledge and skills. As an Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP in children's and obstetrics theatres you will also be rotated to work in our paediatric recovery areas, allowing our department to work together as one team.

Main duties of the job

Job summary
The Personalised Care Support Worker Role should be seen within the context of a new evolving service model which seeks to ensure that cancer patients are offered access to the Recovery Package upon completion of an acute episode of care and that follow up care is Risk Stratified to an appropriate level. Support implementation of all Survivorship Initiatives namely The Macmillan Recovery Package and Risk Stratification Model As part of the Recovery package, the role will assist in delivering the Holistic Needs agenda (eHNA), End of treatment Summaries, Health and Well-Being Events and Remote Surveillance tracking of patients. Support patients to navigate through complex health and social care systems. To be a main point of contact throughout the patients journey, requiring close liaison/working with the core and extended Multi-disciplinary team. The role may involve travel between hospital sites, cross trust working to cover both Risk Stratification and Recovery Package/eHNA work streams.
Main duties of the job
Pro-actively manage the Surveillance database in conjunction with CNS teams and the cancer information and support Manager. Manage own workload, being aware of own and others role boundaries, with a partnership working approach. Promote Survivorship support services in an equitable manner. Evaluate practice annually with data collection to produce the Macmillan Annual Report and service user feedback questionnaire. Deliver key agreed actions within specified timescales. Occasional cross site/project (i.e. eHNA and Risk Stratification) cover as per the needs of the developing service. Deliver day-to-day administrative support, data entry. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Trust policies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

• To work with MDTs to implement the Recovery Package and Risk stratification processes: i.e. Ensure patients receive holistic needs assessments, treatment summaries, health and well-being events and remote surveillance.
