Main duties of the job
The data administration team contribute in maintaining accurate medical records, which includes summarising and read coding relevant information on to patients records from hospital correspondence and other sources into the practice computer system, working strictly in accordance with the practice protocols.

Practice Plus Group provides primary care and substance misuse services across the wings, clinic areas, inpatient facilities, and reception services.
Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. Hours This is a bank role, with shifts falling between Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

#LI-AB1Main duties of the job
As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Manage a caseload of psychosocial patients with varying needs, including substance misuse, mental health, trauma etc
- Work with receptions (new patients entering the prison), triaging and carrying out assessments
- Deliver group sessions on overdose awareness, harm reduction, motivation to change, relapse prevention and wellbeing
- Providing a programme of psychosocial interventions and comprehensive assessments, including SMART Recovery
- Facilitate peer led group sessions
- Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices
- Prepare patients for release and transfer
- Work closely with MDT professionals, including within the prison and the community, such as probation, external drug & alcohol services etc

Main duties of the job
The Senior Medical Secretary Function Provides:

The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality medical secretarial and administrative service to the consultant, doctor and junior medical team and specialist nursing teams, other health professionals.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Clinical Applications Management team as a part of the Digital Support Helpdesk.
As the Clinical Systems Service Desk Assistant, you will work within the wider Digital Support team to provide effective administrative, service desk 1st / 2nd line support, and issue resolution support.
Main duties of the job
- Provide 1st line support for the Digital Support Helpdesk, which provides support for issues relating to both the Trusts clinical systems and wider IT systems.
- To assist users with issues and service requests relating to the Trusts core clinical systems and smartcards.
- Maintain a record of all calls and jobs on the Trusts and service providers service tool by raising support tickets.
- Monitor support tickets from end users to ensure they are resolved or escalated within local Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Respond proactively to system changes by supporting system implementations and completing necessary training.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both electronically and face-to-face, to ensure a consistent level of support to system users.
- Provide face-to-face support via regular departmental visits to clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Assist in the development of guidance and standard operating procedures on all aspects of clinical applications support.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and capable Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist in the Blood Transfusion Laboratory at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This post is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, although the postholder may be required to work across sites.
The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist who may hold or be working towards an MSc in Biomedical Science and an IBMS Specialist Diploma in Haematology/Blood Transfusion. It would be advantageous to have other qualifications such as the BBTS Specialist Certificate in Transfusion Science Practice.
The role involves management and deployment of staff within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion laboratories. You will lead the Blood Transfusion sections and will ensure that all aspects of the technical performance, training and quality of those areas are of the highest standard. The postholder must have an interest in Quality and Training and will support the needs of the department in these areas.
The department is an approved IBMS/HCPC training laboratory and continuous professional development is actively encouraged.
Main duties of the job
- Assist the Lead Scientist and other senior grade staff in the management of the department's sections.
- To manage and deploy staff within a section(s) of work assigned to you.
- To be familiar with the local application of all relevant Trust policies, e.g. health and safety, HR (personnel), and ensure that thesepolicies are adhered to by yourself and the staff in your section.
- You may be required to deputise for the Deputy Head BMS in their absence and take direct responsibility for the department.
- You will provide cover for other senior specialist within your department.
- You will perform a range of senior specialist activities and provide highly specialist advice to clinicians and other service users.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Microbiology department, with experience in an NHS Microbiology laboratory. The successful applicant will ideally be a suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist. Applications from Biomedical Scientists awaiting completion of the IBMS Specialist Portfolio may also be considered. Participation in the weekend, bank holiday, late shift and on-call rotas is compulsory for Specialist Biomedical Scientists.
The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and team working skills, and be able to perform competently a range of laboratory techniques and procedures in multiple areas of the Microbiology laboratory. The post holder will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of a laboratory section, and will be expected to rotate through all areas of the Microbiology laboratory.
This post is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, although occasional travel to The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford may be required.
Main duties of the job
- Keep clear and accurate records and learn to use laboratory computer systems and specialist equipment.
- Work closely with experienced Biomedical Scientists and trainers, following laboratory procedures and asking for support when needed.
- Complete the required training and IBMS Registration Training Portfolio, working towards registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Biomedical Scientist to join our friendly and supportive Microbiology team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH). A exciting opportunity has arisen at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust for full time Specialist Cardiac Physiologist in the Cardio-respiratory Department.
We require a highly skilled and driven Physiologist to be part of our comprehensive and dynamic Cardio-respiratory Department. We would require you to provide experienced and multi-skilled, hands-on provision in the complete range of Cardiac investigations provided by The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
You will also provide support for specialist echo techniques including stress and contrast echo, in addition to performing/reporting routine TTE and provide support for Transoesophageal echo and other invasive procedures.
You will perform 12 lead/exercise ECG, holter analysis, Cardiology support during CPEX and physiological measurements during diagnostic angiography.
Knowledge and some experience of basic pacing and Cardiac Device therapy is preferred.

- Performs specialised /highly specialised diagnostic cardiac physiological testing on patients to aid clinical diagnosis without supervision.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Phlebotomy Team at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury, Whitchurch Community Hospital Whitchurch and the new Clinical Diagnostics Centre based at Hollinswood house Telford. Working on Wards, Outpatients and in the Community Diagnosic Centre, Stafford Park. Main base is Telford.
We are advertising for 1 x 37.5 hour post working 37.5 hours over 7 days at any of the phlebotomy locations. This is a cross site post when there is an operational need to travel to an alternative site. Monday-Friday 5 days 08:00-12:00 or 13:00 - 17:00 between phlebotomy operating hours. Following a rotational Rota for weekends and bank holidays. Phlebotomy operating hours currently are: 08:00-17:00 Monday-Friday, 08:00-12:00 noon Saturday's, Sunday's and bank holidays. These hours are currently under review and could be subject to change in the future.
The successful candidate must have experience as a Supervisor Phlebotomist, should have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure with the ability to record data accurately, have an approachable nature and the ability to fulfil the travel requirements. Previous experience working as a supervisor is essential.
Shifts will vary according to service needs so flexibility is essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will be part of a team that provides a phlebotomy service to The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
Duties will include -
- Collection of blood samples by venepuncture from adults and paeds in Community Diagnostic Centre, wards, and outpatients
- Collection of blood samples by venepuncture from children age 12 months to 18 years.
- Recording and labelling of samples in accordance to SOP's.
- Collection of relevant statistics and entering into relevant databases.
- Delivery of samples to the laboratory by hand, via the hospital vacuum air tube system, by portering staff and transport systems
- Understand and apply health and safety, clinical risk management and quality control responsibilities, as these relate to the performance of your duties.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
- Midday, morning, or afternoon shifts- including weekends and Bank/Public holidays are allocated on a rota basis across the whole team.
- There is occasional expectation to cover periods of absence by other members of the team.
- Through appraisal and liaison with the phlebotomy trainers, continually maintain and update skills, maintaining a personal record of achievement.

We cover inpatients (PRH/RSH only) and outpatients at all 4 sites, providing a service for both GP's and consultants.

The Interventional Radiology Suite performs elective day case and urgent in patient procedures such as vascular angioplasty, fistuloplasty, hickman line insertion and biopsies, nephrostomies, biliary work and embolisation which are then recovered in the adjacent day unit.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is part of the Black Country Provider Partnership and the Interventional Radiology Suite is working alongside three other hospitals to provide a 7 day/ 24hr on call service for hemorrhage control and treatment of life threatening sepsis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who thrives on a fast paced environment, is caring, compassionate and committed to delivering high quality standards of care. You will be expected to work alongside experienced consultants as a second assistant within a theatre environment and participate in the co-ordination and implementation of pre, peri and post-operative care for acute and chronically ill inpatients attending Interventional Radiology. You will be supported by a profile of band 6 and band 7 nurses and radiographers.
The interested applicant will undertake, or be willing to undertake, specialist clinical practices i.e. scrub nurse, working in an environment that will involve ionising radiation and the wearing of a lead apron.
You will have excellent communication skills and be expected to offer support to patients and the nurse in charge in their absence if needed.

An opportunity has arisen within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Safeguarding Support Team to appoint two skilled, motivated, and enthusiastic Registered Professionals as an adult focused Safeguarding Specialist Nurse/Practitioner.

Psychologists in the services are fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams, whilst also working closely with other psychologists on service development projects, to deliver training and develop groups and other interventions. The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management, and the team are often involved in developing innovative solutions to service needs.
Ideally applicants will have experience of working with people with Intellectual Disabilities in community or inpatient settings. However, we would welcome applications from individuals with experience in other settings who are interested in working in this area and can demonstrate commitment to this client group.

The post holder will use the whole range of their psychological skills and experience. This will include clinical input in the form of assessments, individual and group therapies, team formulation, reflective practice and supporting other staff to undertake psychological interventions. They will also be involved in providing training and supervision to others, and contributing to and leading on service development projects and undertaking audit and research.

Positive Behavioural Support is a major part of our treatment philosophy. The service ethos is to ensure that effective, evidence-based interventions are provided to people who present considerable risk to themselves or others, to ensure they can return to a less restrictive environment in the community as soon as possible.
The service has strong links with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical psychologists, supervision for research, and teaching on the local courses. There are also strong links with Community Learning Disability and Intensive Support teams across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Cardiologist to join the established Cardiology Team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. About You
You will have proven experience of working within an office environment, where you've carried out administration duties.
