Job summary
The department is looking to recruit a Preclinical Technical Officer in the field of small animal imaging, working mainly in the fields of nanoSPECT/CT and nanoPET/CT with opportunities to also work with PET/MR, MRI, optical imaging and focussed external beam irradiation therapy. The purpose of this role is to support, train and advise multidisciplinary scientists and students using and developing novel medical imaging methodology.
The incumbent will be expected to support the Pre-clinical Imaging Operations Manager to manage and maintain the preclinical imaging facilities (e.g. calibration, quality control, testing imaging scanners; trouble-shooting); ensure compliance of facilities and users with the relevant regulations and government bodies, with control over stocks, equipment and supplies.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include providing: teaching, advice and training on techniques/procedures, operation of the scanners and data and image analysis; facilitating the efficient and ethical operation of animal experiments involving imaging to achieve the aims of various research programmes. In addition, the post holder will be expected to extract maximum value and capability from the imaging facilities, by developing and implementing novel quantitative imaging protocols and flexible data analysis pipelines in response to the needs of colleagues.
Duties also include good communication, critical evaluation and problem-solving skills, use and monitoring of safe working practices to maintain and improve health & safety compliance. Included are completing risk assessments, SOPS, adjusting protocols and facilities to reduce levels of risk including negative environmental impacts. When required, reporting accidents/ incidents and participating in accident investigations.
Independent decisions will be expected, in a timely manner to solve problems which impact the facilities and contribute to collaborative decisions. This role requires the postholder to work independently based on an agreed work plan, setting own priorities and working cooperatively with stakeholders to achieve the service objectives.
The post holder will keep informed about developments in relevant technical/scientific fields and adopt and adapt new approaches/ methodologies to meet local needs.

The School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences is an interdisciplinary School dedicated to the development, clinical translation and clinical application of medical imaging technologies and devices. Staff and students comprise physicists, chemists, biologists, engineers, mathematicians and clinicians working together in a highly cross-disciplinary way.
The Department of Imaging Chemistry & Biology is one of eight within the School and its remit is to develop contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals for both imaging and therapy and take them through the translational process from initial synthesis and characterisation, radiochemical synthesis, in vitro biology and preclinical in vivo biology and imaging, to the point of readiness for clinical evaluation.

Liaise with other stakeholders to ensure equipment preventative maintenance, servicing and other lab specific works are done in compliance with regulations/contracts, in a timely and productive manner.

The Community Adult Haemoglobinopathies Nurse will support the delivery and development of a specialist community service for adults with sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and related conditions across North Central London.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to make a positive impact within The Inclusion Bases within the London Borough of Islington. This newly created post will support a caseload of Primary Aged Children with complex learning needs, the majority of whom have a diagnosis of Autism.
The post holder is an autonomous practitioner and is responsible for organising and managing a defined caseload of children and young people (CYP). They are responsible for delivering a comprehensive and highly specialist service to CYP who have special and complex needs that may include autism, down's syndrome, complex learning difficulties and social and emotional behaviour difficulties. Some of these CYP will require support around developing access to AAC systems.
Intervention includes assessment, differential diagnosis and therapy for individual children or groups of children and working with the MDT to provide support to parents and professionals. The post holder will devise and provide individualised care plans that are evaluated via outcome measures. They will employ specialist communication strategies used with the client group as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will take a lead on a clinical speciality within the team. They will provide clinical supervision and support to less experienced colleagues both within the team and the wider service; this will include the provision of second opinions and advice / support around AAC.
They will represent the Speech and Language Therapy Service at multi-disciplinary / multi-agency meetings as necessary.
The post holder will have excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise in order to support and counsel parents to accept the implications of their child's special needs. They will be able to communicate complex information effectively taking into account the barriers to communication presented by the diverse caseload. They will be skilled in working in and liaising within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment. The clinician's level of high level of expertise in the field will ensure that they can reassure and instil confidence in clients, carers and other professionals. Due to continued expansion, internal changes and growth; Newhall Surgery is delighted to announce that we are looking for 2 or 3 motivated, empathetic, customer service orientated people to join our busy Care Navigation Team. These positions are available on a part-time basis.
The post holders will have a positive attitude, good listening and communication skills and be team players. Previous primary care or customer based service experience is essential. This is a varied role and much of the work undertaken will be of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.
Part time hours are offered, however, the successful candidates would need to be available to work the early and late shifts as necessary with daily working hours between 8.00am and 6.30pm. Each team member has an agreed working pattern, these are comprised of both early and late shifts to ensure necessary cover. The working pattern and hours distribution will be agreed with the successful candidates.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will work within our busy Care Navigation Team answering the telephone, manning the front desk, dealing with patient enquiries, booking appointments, undertaking tasks for our clinical teams, signposting patients to internal and external services, handling pathology and other results according to practice protocols and generally providing a high standard of patient liaison.
The post holders will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to organise and prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Attention to detail is of paramount importance as there will be a high level of contact with patients and their individual data. Some data will be of a highly sensitive nature.

Its catchment area includes Wolverhampton, South Staffordshire and East Shropshire and consequently it has a varied workload from urban and rural areas as well as a multi-cultural one. Its sees approximately 108,000 new patients a year of which approximately 26% are children under 16 years of age.It is a designated Major Accident Unit and is the 5th largest department in the West Midlands Health Region. With the development of the Trauma Network & the Major Trauma Centres, New Cross Hospital is a designated Major Trauma Unit.

The Mildred Creak Unit is a children's inpatient unit caring for young people aged 7 to 13 with a range of severe and complex mental health difficulties.
Our supportive team will allow you to develop your experience and knowledge of child and adolescent mental health. Working across disciplines to support our patient group with complex difficulties and supporting young people with activities of daily living, you will facilitate activities and therapeutic groups while using your expertise to create and deliver individualised care plans. As a part of the nursing team, you will get to work closely with different professionals across the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to support the young person throughout their admission.
With weekly team and monthly MDT education opportunities alongside a bespoke professional and academic development pathway which aligns with your goals, you will be part of a team which strives to provide young people with greater collaboration and empowerment in their treatment journey.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working as a member of the nursing team to provide care to the young people. You will facilitate their daily routines and attendance of the therapeutic timetable in a nurturing and supportive manner. The role includes various duties such as supporting young people to eat, helping young people with their physiotherapy programmes, providing a space for young people to talk about their feelings as well as clinical tasks such as administration of medication, nasogastric feeding, physical observations and the facilitation of therapeutic groups. Job Purpose
The role of a Cardiac Physiologist Associate requires the post holder to undertake a broad range of ambulatory techniques, including highly skilled recording, measuring, and monitoring of physiological changes. Responsibility for effectively interpreting results and providing factual reports on investigations to enable clinical diagnosis, aiding patient treatment and outcomes.
