Job summary
Are you an experienced and innovative Occupational Therapist looking for a role where you can influence whole systems, shape inclusive practice and lead exciting SEND developments without managing a traditional caseload?
We are looking for a highly specialist, impact-driven Occupational Therapist to join our SEND Therapies team at an exciting time of development and reform.
This is a unique opportunity to shape inclusive practice across Southend schools and settings through strategic projects, workforce development and system-wide approaches that make a real difference for children and young people.
Main duties of the job
The role focuses on:
- Universal occupational therapy approaches
- Inclusive classroom environments
- Sensory-informed practice and effective sensory spaces
- Regulation and movement breaks
- Universal adaptations and accessibility
- SEND reform and inclusion projects
- Workforce development and training
- Supporting capital projects and consultative transport panel work
You will work closely with education colleagues, SEND services and NHS Occupational Therapy teams to create joined-up, sustainable and impactful support for schools and families.
This is not a traditional caseload-holding post. Instead, you will have the opportunity to lead innovative projects, influence strategic developments and build capacity across the wider system.
You will also supervise a Specialist Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Assistants, helping to shape and develop an ambitious and forward-thinking OT offer.

Provide occupational therapy expertise and consultation to local authority capital projects to ensure environments are accessible, inclusive and supportive of sensory and physical needs.
Attend transport panels in a consultative capacity, contributing specialist advice regarding functional needs, access, participation and environmental considerations.
Build strong collaborative relationships with NHS Occupational Therapy services and wider partners to ensure alignment, avoid duplication and strengthen the graduated response across education and health.
Provide professional supervision, line management and support to the Specialist Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Assistants, promoting reflective practice, professional development and high standards of delivery.
Coordinate and oversee the delivery of targeted OT support delivered through the wider team.

It is supported by a UKAS-accredited Blood Sciences Department with a wide range of specialist sections including Special Chemistry which provides a range of assays using LC-MS/MS, HPLC and ICP-MS, SAS Endocrinology, Metabolic and Newborn Screening, Maternal Serum Screening, Flow Cytometry, Proteins and Immunology and Special Haematology as well as Core Biochemistry, Core Haematology and Blood Transfusion on both sites. Many services are provided to the other trusts within the region as well as to centres throughout the UK and overseas. In addition, support is provided for research and development including collaboration with local clinicians and universities.
The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Freeman Hospital, although cross-site working will be required. They will provide support for Core Biochemistry and develop experience in Specialist Endocrinology and Special Chemistry and participate in the duty biochemist rota.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide support for Core Biochemistry, including method validation and verification, troubleshooting, QA support and clinical liaison.
The post-holder will work with the Special Chemistry and SAS Endocrine teams, helping with service development, authorising reports and liaising with service users.
The post-holder will be part of the departmental Duty Biochemist team, working with a team of seven other clinical scientists and three consultant chemical pathologists as well as a number of scientists and clinicians in training. This includes participation in the Duty Biochemist rota, authorising results generated throughout the biochemistry department and liaising with clinical services.
They will contribute to leadership, quality management, governance, service development and staff training within the department.
Training for the specialist aspects of the role will be provided as required with support for career progression including for further FRCPath examinations.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Housekeepers on a full time and/or part time basis to work on the Surgical Assessment Unit at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The ward is equipped to care for 38 inpatients and a very busy Surgical Assessment Area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working housekeeper who will work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with and helping patients throughout the working day. You will also be required to communicate with all levels of staff both face to face and over the phone.
The post holder will be required to maintain stock levels and participate in the ordering of stock. You will also be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the ward.
Applicants with previous experience in a health care setting are desirable, however you will need to demonstrate commitment to developing yourself to support the nursing team in caring for patients and ensuring the patient experience is positive.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Instructor/ Physiotherapy Assistant to join the orthopaedic team at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.
The successful candidate will support the physiotherapists and the multi disciplinary team to provide physiotherapy intervention and facilitate hospital discharges. The post will involve working with orthopaedic patients requiring rehabilitation. These will be both trauma and arthroplasty cases and may also include people who have accompanying conditions such as stroke, respiratory disease, and symptoms of frailty.
Training and ongoing development will be available from a supportive, established team in a beautiful part of the UK.

- To assist physiotherapists and independently implement physiotherapy treatment programmes for patients from a designated caseload including those with complex presentations. This being underpinned by base level theoretical knowledge and practical experience acquired through short courses, in-house training and experience to NVQ level III or equivalent.

22.5 hours / 0.6 WTE - permanent post
Working days to be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.
The post-holder must hold a Dental Sedation Certificate (IV and IHS), be up to date with Sedation training and able to supply a copy of their CPD log relating to their Sedation specialism.
The post-holder must be flexible as travel to other sites/locations within the division may be required.
The Post Holder will support the clinical management of the dental specialty and ensure the provision of a high standard of patient care and that all Trust policies and procedures are adhered to.
Delivery of high-quality clinical nursing support for the specialties across Dental Services Division clinical sites to respond to the complex needs of the patients that meet the specialty criteria.
Main duties of the job
Maintain a high standard of patient care and confidentiality within all dental clinics throughout the service and manage patients with complex dental, social and medical needs
Stock control/rotation and the ordering of dental consumables as required from appropriate suppliers.
Prepare and maintain specialised dental equipment and dispose of clinical waste including bodily fluids.
Support recording of patient pre-operative assessments. E.g. height weight and blood pressure
Carry out any other duties relevant to this role specified by the Dental Nurse Manager.
Identify relevant staff & student who require additional training within the specialty & escalate as appropriate
Support the School of Dental Nursing, University of Birmingham, School of Hygiene and Therapy and relevant Heads of Service to provide team training for all disciplines.
Adhere to procedures to support and maintaining achieving national targets of compliance.
Ensure to implement agreed, local Divisional and Trust Policies.
Implement outcomes in respect of Clinical Governance & Quality Improvement relating to the specialty.

The Intellectual Disabilities Service, Specialist Services Directorate provides specialist NHS services to people for whom mainstream services cannot meet their needs. We are seeking a Nurse to join our well established Community Nursing Team.

The successful candidate must be an RNLD with a Diploma or Degree level in Learning Disability Nursing and be registered with the NMC.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The post requires close work with patients, carers, external agencies and other health and social care professionals. Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be providing a medicines management service to patients within the prison with the professional support of a prison service pharmacist. You will administer medicines to patients against a valid prescription, ensuring this is taken correctly, provide advice to patients about the appropriate use of medicines and promote healthy lifestyles to aid their rehabilitation.
You will dispense prescriptions and stock items, whilst supervising assistants when in the dispensary. There will also be elements of stock control involved in your role, such as undertaking stock top-up services and reviewing expiry dates and storage facilities for all medicines, reporting any deficiencies to the prison service pharmacist.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Practitioner Psychologist to join the Lambeth Community Drug and Alcohol Service (LCDAS), a multidisciplinary service providing specialist support to adults experiencing substance use difficulties and co-occurring mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering and developing psychologically informed addiction services within a highly regarded NHS and third-sector partnership. The post holder will provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for individuals with complex substance use and mental health presentations. They will contribute to service development, clinical leadership, research, supervision and training, helping to ensure that psychological thinking is embedded throughout the service.
