Senior Cardiac Physiologist

Are you an experienced Cardiac Physiologist looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have extensive experience performing echocardiograms to BSE standards? Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care while supporting clinical leadership, service development and the delivery of healthcare at its best?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiorespiratory team at KIMS Hospital. Working closely with the Lead Physiologist, Consultant Cardiologists and wider cardiology team, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery and development of our inpatient, outpatient and cardiac interventional services.
You will provide high-quality clinical care while helping to lead and develop the team, promote best practice and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires a patient-focused professional with strong interpersonal and leadership skills, who can inspire colleagues, support change and maintain high standards of clinical governance, quality and patient safety.
Main duties of the job
- Provide clinical leadership and support in the day-to-day delivery of Cardiorespiratory services, working closely with the Lead Physiologist and Consultant Cardiologists.
- Undertake and support cardiac investigations, including echocardiography to BSE standards, while contributing to inpatient, outpatient and cardiac interventional services.
- Support workforce planning and service delivery, helping to allocate staff according to patient need and activity, including supporting procedures such as pacing, angiography, PCI and electrophysiological studies.
- Champion clinical governance, quality and patient safety, supporting regulatory compliance, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, infection prevention and the development of policies and procedures.
- Support and develop the team, contributing to training, professional development, innovation and change management, while promoting KIMS values and a culture of continuous improvement.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Leadership team in Neurosurgery. Ward 43 / NECU is a Neurosurgical ward that cares for patients and their relatives whilst going through a form of spinal or brain injury. It is made up of 34 ward beds and 12 Enhanced care beds. The post holder will be expected to rotate between both the ward and NECU.

An understanding of the operational demands and clinical pressures are essential whilst maintaining quality of care and patient safety.

Main duties of the job
The role is responsible for coordinating formal complaint investigations across the Trust, working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure all concerns are thoroughly investigated. Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity to work within Children & Young People's services at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT). The post holder(s) will become a substantive Paediatric Trust Grade Doctor (ST4-8 or equivalent level) becoming a valued part of the paediatric medical team at CHFT.
The Trust covers a population of approximately 500,000 with a wide range of diversity and deprivation. The Children's Ward is 38 bedded with a Paediatric Same Day Emergency Care (PSDEC) Unit which sees over 7000 attendances per year.
The level 2 Neonatal Unit has 20 cots including 6 intensive care cots. It is based in Calderdale and delivers intensive, high dependency and special care for babies born at 27 weeks gestation and above.
A recently established Paediatric Emergency Department is located at Calderdale. There are exciting developments with reconfiguration planned in the next few years.
Outpatient care is provided across 2 Children's Outpatient Departments and a bespoke Child Development Centre. There are 20 consultants who all have special interests covering the majority of subspecialities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work at ST4-8 grade alongside paediatric trainees ST4-8 and other Trust doctors. They will be expected to cover the Children's Ward and PSDEC (total 37 beds), the level 2 (LNU) Neonatal Unit (3 ICU, 3 HDU, 14 SCBU) and contribute to outpatient clinics. They will always be supervised by a Consultant

Biomedical Science Training and Recruitment Strategy Lead - Part-Time Post 30 hours per week.
Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS) is a large, long standing Pathology Network in the South Midlands. Pathology services are provided across three main sites; University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in Coventry, the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton and South Warwickshire Foundation Trust in Warwick.
The CWPS Biomedical Science Training and Recruitment Strategy Lead is a key role within CWPS, co-ordinating and ensuring standardisation of Training and Recruitment across all Pathology Disciplines, as well as collaborating with external organisations to facilitate, develop and establish the supporting Training framework
This role is a part-time substantive post with main responsibilities to chair the monthly CWPS Network Training Committee and work closely with and provide support for the Discipline Training Section Managers to deliver the CWPS Network Training and Recruitment Strategy.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to expand their experience and knowledge within the area of Training, including developing the use of the on-line digital ProfilerLive Training and Competency tool across Pathology. CWPS have a number of Recruitment initiatives including apprenticeships and placement students and works closely with local providers to manage these different training routes to improve staff succession planning and retention.
Main duties of the job
- Co-ordinate a team of Pathology Network training officers and liaise with Department Managers to establish current training capacity for the Network Biomedical Science Workforce.
- Design and implement a Training, Education and Recruitment Strategy to ensure sustainable Biomedical Science workforce.
- Manage and chair a CWPS Network Training forum to support delivery of existing training, education and recruitment pathways for Biomedical Science and Pathology support workforce. Implement succession planning and define strategy for achieving future workforce.
- Monitor and ensure delivery of national requirements according to those set out by Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), NHS England, Health Education England (HEE), the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and other professional bodies.
- Support network training officers with issues relating to delivery of current training programmes. Monitor and collate information to support implementation of new training pathways for Biomedical Scientists and the Pathology Biomedical Science support workforce.
- Work with Training officers, department managers and Pathology management to design and implement a Biomedical Assistant and Associate Training Programme according to requirements set out by the CSO at NHS England.

- Provide a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service for patients with dysphagia and/or communication difficulties resulting from head and neck cancer, working as an autonomous practitioner
- Independently manage a caseload of patients with complex clinical needs, using evidence-based, patient-centred approaches to assess, treat and evaluate care.
- Support the development of junior staff through supervision, training, mentorship and case discussion, as appropriate to experience.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Gynae-Oncology to join our expanding Private Care Division within the Sainsbury's Wing at Hammersmith Hospital. The successful candidate will primarily support private gynaecological oncology patients; however, the role will be closely integrated with the NHS Gynae-Oncology team. Main duties of the job
You will be working within a small but strong administration team and also alongside a much wider primary care team and even larger security team. You will be responsible for booking external hospital appointments on behalf of patients, which involves developing strong relationships with staff at local hospitals. Often, appointments have to be re-arranged at short notice, so a high degree of flexibility and patience isa must. You will also be responsible for supporting the GPs with referrals to hospital and actioning electronic tasks in relation to patient care. You will also see prisoners on a daily basis as they visit the healthcare department for all their different primary care appointments. Due to the fact that prisoners are unable to make contact with local hospitals themselves, you will need to be demonstrate determination and compassion in securing access to care on their behalf, whilst being mindful of prison protocol and security risks.
