We are looking for a Nurse or Midwife Practitioner to join the clinical team within our Finsbury Park unit in London. You will work part-time, 21 hours per week over Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays. More details can be found in the further information section below.
About the role
As a Nurse or Midwife Practitioner you will provide high quality clinical care to our clients across a range of BPAS reproductive healthcare services including termination of pregnancy, STI testing & treatment, contraception & vasectomy. You'll be involved in all stages of the client pathway from consultation through to treatment & will work in all areas of the unit including theatre & recovery. This role will involve providing treatment & clinical information to clients both in person & over the phone.
About You
You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife (practising) with active NMC registration and PIN. You'll have clinical practice experience of at least 12 months & have a keen interest in sexual health & reproductive healthcare. Clinical knowledge & experience of safeguarding and Fraser/Gillick competencies are essential for this role.
You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills and you will be adept at caring for clients in a compassionate & empathetic way.
Main duties of the job
- You will work in accordance with NMC guidelines for Professional Practice & the wider regulatory frameworks of the Abortion Act 1967 & Health & Social Care Act as well as BPAS clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the client understands her options in relation to the pregnancy &, if choosing termination, meets the ground of the Abortion Act.
- Provide information on STI Testing, undertake tests and provide results and also discuss, inform and confirm the clients future choice of contraception.
- Carefully check for and implement any procedure indicated on client case notes, including administering medication for Medical Abortion procedures or cervical preparation.
- Carry out post treatment check-ups by assessing the physical condition of the client and discussing any concerns
- Complete relevant paperwork and in the event of post treatment problems, make arrangements with the clinic or refer to an NHS agency if necessary.
- To care for and support clients undergoing surgical treatments. This could include general anaesthetic, conscious sedation or local anaesthetic.
We are also looking for:
- Sound & accurate administrative competence with attention to detail
- Gynaecological nursing experience or relevant specialty i.e., sexual health, contraception
- Venepuncture / cannulation skills
- Comfortable using IT and Microsoft Packages including Outlook, Word and Microsoft Teams.

Job summary
Currently the service provides community nursing for children and young people with acute andlong term conditions, complex needs, and palliative care, including end of life care. The children and young people can present with acute illness in addition to requiring skilled nursing intervention to manage highly complex health and developmental needs throughout childhood and at transition to adult services.
The CYPCNS works closely with social care, education and third sector organisations to implement the statutory requirements of the Children and Families Act 2014, and we are actively involved with partners in developing children and young people's urgent care pathways. We have an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our well-established CYPCN team as a Band 6 Children and Young People's Community Nurse. This post will be based in Chichester at the Westhampnett Centre.
This is a challenging but highly rewarding role, and the post holder will be supporting the Team Lead with caseload and local service management.
Main duties of the job
- Manage the delivery of quality nursing care, support, information and advice, for a delegated CCNT caseload, helping to ensure that appropriate resources are available to assist in providing this care.
- Support and educate staff offering clinical specialist knowledge and skills for the delivery of nursing care for children in the CCNT caseload.
- Maintain excellent communication channels with service stakeholders.
- Multi-disciplinary team working and liaison
- Help develop, implement and review clinical protocols and standard operating procedures which assist in delivering safe care and best nursing practice.
- Develop clinical skills and knowledge within the team, ensuring the relevant clinical skills required for management of safe nursing care are maintained.
- Provide teaching regarding the use of equipment and treatment regimes in the community for children, families/carers and staff involved.
- Excellent record keeping.
- Act as a resource and role model of children's community nursing specialist practice to all other professionals and work colleagues.
- Attend essential and relevant clinical practice updates in tertiary centres and special interest groups both within the Trust, locally and nationally to help develop and contribute towards establishment of clinical practice standards.

To provide highly specialist, client-centred Speech and Language Therapy assessment, intervention, and advice to adults with acquired brain injuries within a community setting. Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.
Main duties of the job
- To prioritise referrals and manage workload
- To assess, monitor and continually evaluate risk management of situation and environment for both patient/carer/family and staff and deal with safety issues as identified.
- To assess, deliver and evaluate all aspects of clinical nursing care based on best practice.
- Use of equipment/technology to aid appropriate assessment of patient condition and delivery of treatment such as Doppler, Syringe Driver, enteral feed system, moving and handling equipment
- To carry out a range of clinical duties that involve dealing with body fluids eg venepuncture, wound dressings, catheterisation and tracheostomy care.
- To undertake and obtain samples for diagnostic purposes eg venepuncture, wound swabs, urinary and faecal sampling.
- To support and educate patients/carers in promoting independence and rehabilitation in timely approach using case management model of working.
- To deliver care in promoting comfort for patients who are terminally ill following recognised care pathway.
- To have sound knowledge base of medication and effects on conditions.
- To be responsible for appropriate and cost effective nurse prescribing.
- To administer medications reviewing and monitoring effects.
- To communicate closely with patients and all parties involved in delivery of services.

We are looking for a proactive, organised People and Development Administrator to join our People Services Team at Hollyfield House. This is a varied role covering recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and reporting. Job summary
The Hospice at Home Health care Assistant will complement the Hospice at Home Community Team, providing direct care and support to patients with complex palliative care needs within their own home in the last stages of life. The aim of the role is to provide any necessarysupport including personal hygiene care, assisting with dressing and all agreed care under the supervision and guidance of the Band 6 Coordinator. Predominately this will be for patients whowish to be cared for at home .The post holder will be expected to work alone with access to professional advice and guidance when required. The post holder will have specialist palliative care skills in order to support the patient, carers and family.The post holder will have a strong working relationship with other community teams. The post holder will work with the coordinator and the multidisciplinary team, they will also liaisewith multiple stakeholders in order to ensure that the day to day co-ordination and delivery of service is in a timely and professional manner.The post holder will play a key role in ensuring that the patient remains in their place of choice and where possible any hospital admission is avoided.
Main duties of the job
The main duties for this post will be visiting patients in their own home across the whole of Gateshead. Offering agreed packages of personalised care. This will include support will all activities of daily living washing dressing as well as emotional support to patient and families and some domestic work. A flexible approach to the working day will be required due to the fluctuating needs of the service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced administrator to work within theCentral area Continuing Health Care Team. The post holder will provide full administrative support, to act as first point of contact for all referrals/enquiries to the CHC Team. Main duties of the job
To assist the CHC Team Administrator in all aspect of administration relating to NHS Continuing Health Care (CHC), Funded Registered Nursing Care (FNC) discharge from hospital and delayed transfers of care and any schemes associated with CHC/CHC bids.
Act as first point of contact for all referrals/enquiries to the CHC Team.
Take telephone messages in the absence of the CHC Team and if necessary signpost the caller to the correct person who can help with their query.
Monitor and ensure correct panel outcomes, application of information to the Broadcare system, liaise with the finance department regarding any change in funding/accommodation etc (Deceased, New Patients, amendments).
Produce reports for the team and CHC Team Managers when required.
Manage the departmental BCU application mailbox and carry out appropriate action.
To maintain and manage electronic diaries for CHC Operational Manager, Team Manager and Nurse Reviewers.
Ensure that letters relating to ratified, deferred or disputed CHC applications are completed and sent out to relevant parties.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Derwen's Children Learning Disability Nursing Service, Gwynedd, for an experienced, enthusiastic NMC registered nurse.
To work within a multi-disciplinary team closely with staff from other agencies to promote and maintain high standards of care for children and adolescents with learning disabilities / developmental delay and complex needs. This will involve assessing developmental / associated health needs, planning, implementing and evaluating appropriate programmes of care. Where required more specialist assessment will be undertaken under the indirect clinical supervision of Senior Nurse or Team Leader. Such work will be underpinned by ordinary life principles and evidence-based practice. The post holder will be expected to work with children, their families, carers, staff teams and other professionals in a variety of community settings with ongoing support. In addition, the post holder will assist with service development activities within the team
Main duties of the job
- To take responsibility for allocated referrals from source to discharged in line with agreed protocols and documentation including assisting Clinical Psychologist in diagnosis of Learning Disability and assessing eligibility. This may involve interpreting complex cognitive assessment information or conducting assessments indicating of levels of functioning
- To conduct initial "choice" appointments (or equivalent) with carers to agree suitability of the service to meet the child's needs and agree outcome focused goals which to work towards.
- To undertake an initial assessment of physical, psychological and social well being in order to accurately identify the child's needs and associated health needs.
- To carry out this assessment utilising evidence based tools and where appropriate to provide more detailed specialist assessment of specific areas of difficulty such as behavioural difficulties using functional assessment tools, rating scales, collection and analysis of data such as ABC records. The post holder will then collate the information into a cohesive formulation of the problems to enable development of plans / programmes to address issues.
