Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic Band 2 Ward Clerk to work in our Day Surgery & Endoscopy Unit at Llandrindod Wells War Memorial Hospital. The Ward Clerk role is to act as a receptionist and first line contact for patients, relatives and visitors to the department. They will perform clerical and general office duties and will be responsible for the management of case notes for our elective day surgery and endoscopy patients.
Excellent communication skills are required and where we receive a high volume of applications for a post, we may bring the closing date forward. You are therefore advised to submit your completed application as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Main duties of the job
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit, acting as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include managing Reception duties, preparing and maintaining accurate patient records, retrieving and filing notes, handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries, and ensuring confidentiality in line with Powys Teaching Health Board policies and procedures.
We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don't speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don't worry: the health board will support you with training.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Patient Safety Specialist, you will lead high-quality patient safety investigations and reviews, ensuring they are compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on learning rather than blame.
Playing a key role in improving patient safety and quality of care, working closely with patients, families, carers, and staff to ensure learning is captured and meaningful change is delivered. Collaborating with a range of stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for improvement. You will also contribute to wider quality and safety initiatives.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about QI and creating safer systems of care. You will have excellent investigative, analytical, and report-writing skills and can build trusted relationships with patients, families, and professionals. You will be confident communicating sensitive findings with professionalism and compassion, valuing collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning.

This experience will further enhance your experience in nursing low risk special care babies who requires minimal medical intervention. Nurses working in the TCU will gain experience in managing a 6 bedded ward with the support of a neonatal support worker.

Our Children, Young People, and Family Service provides support for childrens mental health on behalf of and in partnership with Northeast and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundations Trust (CAMHS) and other local organisations including the voluntary sector. Collectively we work together using the iThrive framework to improve mental health services and make them more accessible for children and young people in Tees Valley. We are recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker who will be part of the Mental Health Support Team (MHST), a school and college-based early intervention service that supports children and young people with emerging or mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health needs. MHSTs work closely with education settings, families and partner agencies to provide timely, evidence-based support, promote whole-school approaches to mental health and wellbeing, and help children, young people and families access the right support at the right time.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the Mental Health Support Worker role is to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, low-intensity, evidence-based support for children, young people and families across Stockton and Hartlepool. Under the supervision of qualified and experienced clinicians, the post holder will support screening, triage, psychoeducation, advice, guidance and signposting within agreed care plans and service pathways. Working as part of the CYPF service, they will maintain effective partnerships with schools, colleges, families, community organisations and wider mental health services, while upholding safeguarding, confidentiality, professional standards and Alliances values. The role is central to improving early access to emotional wellbeing support, reducing barriers to help, and supporting positive outcomes for children and young people.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Practitioner with an Extended Role (GPwER) in Symptomatic Breast Assessment to join the Oxford University Hospitals Breast Service on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
The postholder will support the delivery of symptomatic and Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) breast services, providing specialist assessment and management of patients within consultant-led pathways. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, the GPwER will contribute to one-stop breast clinics and triple assessment services, helping to improve patient access, support delivery of the 28-Day Faster Diagnosis Standard and enhance pathway efficiency.
Working closely with Consultant Breast Surgeons, Radiologists, Breast Care Nurses and administrative teams, the successful candidate will assess, investigate and manage patients presenting with benign and symptomatic breast conditions, supporting timely diagnosis and high-quality patient-centred care.
This post forms part of an ongoing service improvement programme to increase weekday breast clinic capacity, reduce reliance on premium-cost weekend insourced activity and support a sustainable workforce model. The successful candidate will be a GMC-registered General Practitioner with relevant experience in breast disease, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care within a multidisciplinary breast service.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work as part of the Oxford University Hospitals Breast Service, providing specialist assessment and management of patients attending symptomatic breast and Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) clinics within agreed consultant-led pathways.
The role will support the delivery of one-stop breast and triple assessment clinics, helping to improve patient access, contribute to achievement of the 28-Day Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) and increase capacity within the core weekday service.
Working closely with Consultant Breast Surgeons, Breast Radiologists, Breast Care Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, the postholder will assess patients with breast symptoms, formulate management plans, arrange appropriate investigations and referrals, and communicate clinical outcomes effectively to patients and healthcare professionals.
The postholder will contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities, supporting the ongoing delivery of a high-quality, efficient and patient-centred Breast Service.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Paediatric Critical Care team and be an integral part of the PCCU Education and PCCU Clinical team.
Post holders will be expected to work a minimum of 23hrs per week across days, nights and weekend shifts.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner in Paediatric Critical Care providing clinically based practice development and education. They will role model best, evidence-based professional practice. Clinical education will form approximately 50% of the role, engaging in education activities and working flexibly to maximise education delivery to support staff and patient safety/experience e.g.: Working alongside learners at all stages of development to facilitate learning Identifying and supporting learning needs within PCC Developing and updating training resources Contributing to the delivery of education programmes within the Paediatric Critical Care unit and across the Directorate.The role holder will spend the remainder their time in clinical practice working within the B6 clinical workforce to: Provide clinical leadership ensuring a high standard of individualised nursing and family centred care is delivered to critically ill children. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, communicating effectively with all levels of medical and nursing staff. Uphold PCCU's Nursing Philosophy of Care. Effectively manage PCCU on a day-to-day basis, in the absence of a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.

Paediatric Critical Care (PCC) at OUH includes 17 co-located Level 2 and 3 critical care beds, delivering a wide range of specialist services to patients from Oxfordshire and the wider Thames Valley and Wessex Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Network (TVW PCC ODN). We are a leading Neurosurgical and Major Trauma Centre and have a vast number of medical and surgical specialities.
SORT Retrieval Service OUH PCC Services include the SORT (Southampton Oxford Retrieval Team) service, delivered in collaboration with Southampton across TVW PCC ODN. It is staffed by doctors, ACPs and nurses from both Oxford and Southampton, with Oxford providing a retrieval team 24/7.
Critical Care Outreach Service is a team of experienced nurses who support all healthcare professionals in the assessment and management of unwell children across the children's hospital, emergency department, and neonatal unit, following up and supporting children and families following discharge.
Education, Development and Training is provided through a structured competency-based development programme, and we are piloting an inhouse PCC L3 specialist course for nursing staff. Clinical and leadership career development pathways are available. We have a growing team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners who work across PCCU and SORT services at OUH.

Job summary
The postholder is required to provide holistic midwifery care to services users across the antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum period within the Bicester Area and surrounding areas of Oxfordshire.We have a diverse caseload of service users within our catchment area. We provide care in the form of clinic appointments and home visits, so a driving license with appropriate insurance is essential. Our team also provide an on-call service (day and night on calls), where we facilitate community births across the county, supporting other teams as well as our own. We also support the Obstetric Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital as part of an escalation policy.
We are looking for a midwife who demonstrates kindness and compassion, and who is passionate about providing a gold standard of care. We have a very supportive team of midwives and support workers in Banbury, so adding to this nurturing atmosphere is essential.
Candidates must have an existing NMC with UK Midwifery experience and have completed their preceptorship in a UK hospital. They must be currently working at a Band 6 level
Main duties of the job
Full and Part Time hours are available. Must be a car driver and have access to a car during the day and for night on-calls. You will be required to work community on-call shifts during the day and night time.

Job summary
We are pleased to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Clinical Fellow with well-rounded training to join an existing team of 12 Consultants.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work alongside the 12 Consultant Surgeons together with Specialist Registrars, Core Surgical Trainees and Foundation Trainees. The department provides a wide range of in-patient and day case procedures and provides emergency and elective general surgery services as well as subspecialty services in Colorectal, Breast and Upper GI. The department has an excellent reputation for laparoscopic surgery and performs significant numbers of laparoscopic colorectal resections, groin and ventral hernia repairs and fundoplications each year. The laparoscopic approach is routine for appendicectomy and cholecystectomy (both elective and emergency). The breast unit perform over 250 cancer resections per year with both immediate and delayed reconstructions. Complex abdominal wall reconstructions are undertaken regularly for complex/giant incisional hernia.
Acute Surgical Unit
In 2019 the Trust opened a new Acute Surgical Unit, with bespoke assessment facilities aimed at maximising our ambulatory care pathways for surgical patients. A senior surgical assessor reviews patients on presentation and integral ultrasound assessment speeds diagnosis.
It has reduced non-elective admissions and reduced length of stay. Initially aimed at General Surgery patients, work is underway to broaden the approach to other surgical specialities who could take advantage of the facilities and ambulatory pathways.

There are 14 Consultant Surgeons together with Specialist Registrars, Core Surgical Trainees and Foundation Trainees. The department provides a wide range of in-patient and day case procedures and provides emergency and elective general surgery services as well as subspecialty services in Colorectal, Breast and Upper GI. The department has an excellent reputation for laparoscopic surgery and performs significant numbers of laparoscopic colorectal resections, groin and ventral hernia repairs and fundoplications each year. The laparoscopic approach is routine for appendicectomy and cholecystectomy (both elective and emergency). The Trust has invested over £2 million to install a dual console Da Vinci Xi surgical robot in March 2026 and to train current colorectal and gynaecological surgeons. The plan is for most colorectal resection, complex endometriosis surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstructions to move towards a robotic approach during the course of 2026. The breast unit perform over 250 cancer resections per year with both immediate and delayed reconstructions. Complex abdominal wall reconstructions are undertaken regularly for complex/giant incisional hernia.

The Acute Surgical Unit has bespoke assessment facilities aimed at maximising our Same Day Emergency Care pathways for surgical patients. UROLOGY
Clinical Lead: Mr Ali Fani
The department has 5 Consultants (including Trust Locum Consultants and one agency Locum) plus Specialty and Foundation Trainees. Activity includes outpatient, day case surgery, inpatient elective procedures and emergency admissions
ON-CALL
The rota is compliant with the new contract and is a 1 in 9 full shift rota. Post holders will be expected to co-operate in the introduction of new ways of working and monitoring processes with the support of the junior medical doctors. Patients requiring major vascular procedures are transferred to the Sheffield Vascular Institute, which also provides emergency vascular cover.
The ST3+ and equivalents cover urology admissions out of hours and are expected to liaise with the consultant urologist who is on call 24/7 if there are urological problems. There is a daily (including weekends) consultant-led urology ward round.
EDUCATION AND TRAININGThe successful candidates will have access to all resources currently available in the Trust. This will involve Library and Knowledge Services, e-learning resources, Clinical Skills Training programmes, simulation training and other opportunities.
Induction will be provided covering both generic and specialty specific requirements. For new starters in the UK there will be a one-week programme in PGME prior to starting clinical duties to prepare the post holder for practice in the UK. This may be extended according to individual needs. Initial work in clinical areas would be supernumerary until the Clinical Supervisor agrees the doctor is ready to do on call.
The post holders will be expected to develop a portfolio showing on-going professional development and can access support from PGME to do this. The post holders will have a named Educational Supervisor, with whom they will meet on a regular basis for appraisal. They will agree to a Personal Development Plan and receive assessment in the workplace and regular feedback, including multisource feedback.
Each clinical department will provide access to in-house teaching equivalent to training grade doctors. It is intended that a monthly teaching session for doctors on this rotation will be established.
Funding for external study leave may be available from the department equivalent in value to career grade staff employed by the Trust.

The Trust has invested over £2 million to install a dual console Da Vinci Xi surgical robot in March 2026 and to train current colorectal and gynaecological surgeons. The plan is for most colorectal resection, complex endometriosis surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstructions to move towards a robotic approach during the course of 2026. The breast unit perform over 250 cancer resections per year with both immediate and delayed reconstructions. Complex abdominal wall reconstructions are undertaken regularly for complex/giant incisional hernia.
Acute Surgical Unit
The Acute Surgical Unit has bespoke assessment facilities aimed at maximising our Same Day Emergency Care pathways for surgical patients. A senior surgical assessor, separate to the on-call team, reviews patients on presentation and integral ultrasound assessments speeds diagnosis. It has reduced non-elective admissions and reduced length of stay.
UROLOGY
Clinical Lead: Mr Ali Fani
The department has 5 Consultants (including Trust Locum Consultants and one agency Locum) plus Specialty and Foundation Trainees. Activity includes outpatient, day case surgery, inpatient elective procedures and emergency admissions
ON-CALL
The rota is compliant with the new contract and is a 1 in 9 full shift rota. Post holders will be expected to co-operate in the introduction of new ways of working and monitoring processes with the support of the junior medical doctors. Patients requiring major vascular procedures are transferred to the Sheffield Vascular Institute, which also provides emergency vascular cover.
The ST3+ and equivalents cover urology admissions out of hours and are expected to liaise with the consultant urologist who is on call 24/7 if there are urological problems. There is a daily (including weekends) consultant-led urology ward round.
EDUCATION AND TRAININGThe successful candidates will have access to all resources currently available in the Trust. This will involve Library and Knowledge Services, e-learning resources, Clinical Skills Training programmes, simulation training and other opportunities.
Induction will be provided covering both generic and specialty specific requirements. For new starters in the UK there will be a one-week programme in PGME prior to starting clinical duties to prepare the post holder for practice in the UK. This may be extended according to individual needs. Initial work in clinical areas would be supernumerary until the Clinical Supervisor agrees the doctor is ready to do on call.
The post holders will be expected to develop a portfolio showing on-going professional development and can access support from PGME to do this. The post holders will have a named Educational Supervisor, with whom they will meet on a regular basis for appraisal. They will agree to a Personal Development Plan and receive assessment in the workplace and regular feedback, including multisource feedback.
Each clinical department will provide access to in-house teaching equivalent to training grade doctors. It is intended that a monthly teaching session for doctors on this rotation will be established.
Funding for external study leave may be available from the department equivalent in value to career grade staff employed by the Trust.

The Department of Dermatology is seeking a part-time (6.5 PA) Locum consultant for up to 12 months. It includes tertiary paediatric services in severe eczema as well as general paediatric dermatology clinics at St Thomas'. The post may have a requirement for flexible working across other South East London dermatology sites depending on service demand. Main duties of the job
St. John's Institute of Dermatology with Clinical Genetics, Rheumatology (including Lupus), Infection (including HIV and Sexual Health) and Allergy (Specialist Ambulatory Services) is one of the largest clinical directorates at GSTT. Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+)/ Senior in Hepatobiliary (HPB) Surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is to commence on 06 January 2027 for a 12 month period.
The Cambridge HPB Surgical Unit is the centralised regional HPB referral centre for East Anglia covering a population of 2.5million. Our unit is one of the largest in the UK in terms of clinical volumes (8 Consultant HPB surgeons, >120 liver resections, >100 pancreatic resections annually), with excellent surgical outcomes. The post offers excellent sub-specialty training in HPB surgery.
Candidates require previous experience at Specialty Registrar level in General Surgery, experience in HPB Surgery is desirable but not essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide senior surgical cover for HPB patients including attending operating theatres, outpatient clinics, HPB MDT meetings, and covering the on-call rota for HPB surgery.
There will not be a commitment to General Surgery or Transplant Surgery on-calls. The successful candidate will join a team of SCFs and HPB Specialty Trainees. The appointee is expected to carry out a degree of clinical work independently.We have an excellent track record of providing sub-specialty training in HPB surgery including complex HPB resectional surgery. There will be ample opportunities to be engaged in research projects leading to publications.

Job summary
Caring for pregnant women who have underlying medical complexities, is an area of Midwifery practice that requires specialist knowledge and skills. We are, therefore, looking for an experienced, competent and enthusiastic Midwife to join our well-established Maternal Medicine and Preterm Birth team. The successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care within the hospital setting; in conjunction with the other Midwives and Doctors in the team, as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties:
To provide direct, woman-centred care during the antenatal and postnatal period; and have detailed clinical knowledge of this specialist area of Midwifery practice.
To work within our joint Maternal Medicine/Preterm Birth full-day clinic every Thursday; ensuring consistency and continuity of care for women with medically complex pregnancies and/or at increased risk of Preterm birth.

We are looking for Senior Dispensing Assistants to join our Pharmacy team. You will work within most areas of the ESNEFT Pharmaceutical Service based at Colchester Hospital, providing dispensing support to qualified staff
Duties will include dispensing for in-patients, outpatients and controlled drugs following standard procedures; a re-stocking service of pharmaceutical products to wards and departments.
Pharmacy experience is essential and a formal qualification is desirable, e.g. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Main duties of the job
- To dispense for inpatients and outpatients by calculating appropriate dosage and quantities required against prescriptions/requisitions, following departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- To ensure that all customers receive the appropriate medicine in the correct form and in a timely manner.
- To ensure that all medicines are labelled and packaged appropriately, and all relevant patient information and compliance aids/sundries are supplied.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead on Quality and QSI accreditation of the ESNEFT Medical Imaging department. You will be required to have a 'can do' attitude and be able to foster excellent relationships with colleague and other departments. This post is permanent. Full time and part-time hours will be considered.
QSI accreditation is available to imaging services across the UK both within and outside the NHS. Accreditation is the formal recognition that an imaging service provider has demonstrated that it has an organizational competence to deliver against key performance measures. These measures require the department to achieve high standard of service in relation to patient centred care and choice, safety, fit for-purpose facilities and clinical practices. The standards are endorsed by the Royal college of radiologists and the Society and College of Radiographers.
You will need to inspire the team and provide confidence that the accreditation process is progressing and will be maintained post accreditation. This is a cross-site role covering both our Colchester & Ipswich Hospital locations and Community hospitals.
Main duties of the job
- To manage and supervise the accreditation and quality processes in the Medical Imaging services, carrying out the required management and leadership tasks to support and maintain the accreditation processes
- To maintain accreditation and liaise with UKAS with regards required annual submissions
- The duties and responsibilities of the post will be undertaken in accordance with the policies, procedures and practices of ESNEFT, which the Trust may amend from time to time.
