Job summary
The Job holder will provide an efficient and effective payroll service for Wye Valley NHS Trust. They will work as part of a team which strives for continuous improvement and efficiency, ensuring an accurate payroll is produced according to defined deadlines.
The Job holder will require detailed knowledge and interpretation adhering to current NHS terms and conditions, Trust's local policies, Statutory regulations and NHS directives affecting pay.
They will complete complex calculations, resolve enquiries and provide information and
advice when required. Maintaining accurate employee records by updating the National Payroll system (currently ESR - Electronic Staff Record system) is essential.
They will be an effective member of the team and co-operate to achieve goals and objectives, ensuring regular training is undertaken
Main duties of the job
Manage the provision of effective, professional and timely Payroll services within own area of complete responsibility, ensuring that the payroll is processed in accordance with required legal requirements and deadlines.
Use discretion, independent judgement and experience to plan, prioritise and manage own workload.
Support the delivery of high quality, customer focused and measurable service to all internal staff, liaising as appropriate with all levels of staff/managers within the Trust. (ranging from Band 2 - Very Senior Managers)
Advise staff and managers at all levels on complex pay related matters such as how maternity leave, shared parental leave/adoption leave, promotions, changes in hours, grade etc affect pay. This may be verbal or written advise, include sensitive information and require explanation. In some cases, this could be contentious and highly confidential.
Routinely analyse, interpret and resolve complex queries in relation to payroll activities by problem solving, decision making and using own initiative and ensuring effective communication to all key stakeholders.
Knowledge and understanding of legislation and Trust Policies e.g. to facilitate the calculation and application of PAYE, NI, Pension, SSP, SMP, Occupational Parental Leave and sickness.
Knowledge and understanding of the NHS Pension schemes.

Job summary
The candidate will be a key figure within the existing MDT, collaborating with senior staff across the division of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the provision of exceptional clinical care for patients with complex acute respiratory conditions. A significant component of the role is dedicated to respiratory care, which will include managing both general respiratory patients and more complex cases, particularly within the newly developed NIV unit. The role offers the chance to provide input into the bronchoscopy service, specialist respiratory clinics, and continued development of pleural, ILD, pulmonary infection, and lung cancer services. The post holder will have access to research opportunities within the Respiratory Medicine department. This role will be an integral part of the consultant team, providing leadership in respiratory medicine and will contribute to high quality clinical care, teaching, and research. This post is ideal for a dynamic consultant keen to develop both in the general and respiratory medicine fields.
Main duties of the job
- Ward management of up to 28 respiratory patients
- RSU management of 10 acute respiratory patients including 6 dedicated NIV beds.
- Opportunity to deliver bronchoscopy, general respiratory, and pleural clinics during off ward weeks
- Participation in specialist services such as Severe Asthma, Pleural Disease, ILD, Pulmonary Infection, and Lung Cancer (EBUS @ LHCH)
- Opportunities for research involvement
- On call commitment only during ward weeks.

This Consultant Physician role offers a blend of clinical and leadership duties in Respiratory Medicine.
In Respiratory Medicine, the consultant will provide leadership in the Respiratory Unit, managing complex respiratory patients and supporting the newly developed NIV unit. The role also includes responsibility for overseeing pleural procedures, managing acute respiratory patients, and contributing to bronchoscopy lists. The post holder will also collaborate with various specialist services, including the Severe Asthma service and Lung Cancer MDT. The NMHT provides neighbourhood care following the Care Pathways underpinned by the principles of clinically focused risk management. The goals are of clinical progression within a recovery framework.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide effective cover to the NMHT during working hours on days worked for emergency & routine work, including decisions regarding new referrals that arrive daily & to participate in Care Planning.
To provide assessments on new referrals, formulate diagnoses & treatment plans in consultation with the Team & inputs for other Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) members.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Paediatric Palliative Care Team at BWC. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of specialist palliative care services for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
The successful candidate will join an established multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, family-centred care to children with both malignant and non-malignant conditions. Working across hospital, community and network settings, the post holder will play a key role in supporting children, young people and their families from diagnosis onwards, including complex symptom management, advance care planning, end of life care and bereavement support.
This is a substantive Consultant post, expected to comprise 8PAs, with flexibility to meet clinical service requirements.
Based at Birmingham Children's Hospital, a leading national tertiary and quaternary paediatric centre, the successful applicant will work alongside the existing Consultants in Paediatric Palliative Medicine and the wider Palliative Care and Bereavement Team. The service supports an increasing number of children and young people with complex medical needs, working closely with specialist teams across the Trust and partner organisations throughout the region.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver specialist paediatric palliative medicine to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
- Provide expert clinical leadership in symptom management, advance care planning, complex decision making and end of life care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across secondary, tertiary and quaternary paediatric services.

The Royal Surrey is one of the few hospitals in the country to be rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and we are excited to invite applications to join our trust as aConsultant in General Medicine with a specialist interest!
Successful candidates will oversee a dedicated team of health professionals who provide care to general and acute medical patients on a ward consisting of 20 isolation cubicles in addition to medical outliers on two wards. Built during the pandemic, Guildford ward comprises a strong nursing and allied health professional team with advanced capabilities in managing acutely unwell patients including those requiring non-invasive ventilation. The clinical team on Guildford ward are anticipated to play a part in delivering a high quality general medical service across the division of Access and Medicine. The focus of the general medical teams will be to reduce length of stay and prolonged admissions, liaise with ITU and work closely with the site team to ensure that the right patients are in the right beds.

Main duties of the job
The Consultantwill be responsible for providingcover for the medical patients on Guildford ward. The key duties and responsibilities of the post will be:
- Clinical and administrative responsibility for patients.
- Leadership of the medical staff to include development, training, recruitment, supervision and discipline of resident doctors.
- Collaboration with senior nursing staff and the specialty manager to ensure the safe and effective running of the ward.
- Supervision of medical admissions on the ward to include prompt review of new admissions and daily board rounds.
- Promoting flow through the emergency floor by helping the site team with bed allocations
- Recruitment, supervision and training of resident medical staff and allied health professionals working on the ward.
- Ensuring that resuscitation and end of life care issues are appropriately and sensitively managed.

Job summary
Required to fill this replacement post within the Paediatric Respiratory Department at the Leeds General Infirmary. This is an 8.75PA substantive consultant post supporting the Paediatric Respiratory team (Dr Tim Lee, Dr Chris Edwards, Dr Alex Adams, Dr Emma Guy, Dr Evie Robson, Dr Laura Walker). You must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, Cystic Fibrosis, and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. It is desirable that the candidates have experience in bronchoscopy, sleep and long-term ventilation. The post will be based at Leeds Childrens Hospital. All of Leeds tertiary paediatric services take place in the Leeds Childrens Hospital, within Leeds General Infirmary in Leeds city centre which has excellent transport links. Since April 2010 the regional paediatric respiratory service has been based at a purpose-built outpatient facility within the Childrens Hospital. Leeds is also the nationally commissioned supra-regional centre for childrens Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) for the North of England.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant should possess MRCPCH (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register. Applicants should have established skills in all aspects of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and its related specialties including bronchoscopy, sleep and long-term ventilation. A strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a research interest is desirable. Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work part time and those wishing to job share. There are over 270 paediatric inpatient beds, with a dedicated respiratory ward. Tertiary referrals are received in cystic fibrosis, respiratory paediatrics, oncology, haematology, PICU, neurology, gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology, transplant (liver, renal BMT), paediatric intensive care, neonatology, cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, spinal surgery, paediatric and neonatal surgery. The service also has good links with the allergy, diabetes and paediatric ENT teams. We provide a Respiratory Service to a city population of 780,000, and a regional population of 3.8 million. The Leeds/Sheffield training program offers comprehensive training to fulfil the requirements of the Paediatric Respiratory Medicine grid training syllabus.

The Dermatology department is actively involved in clinical research and regularly participates in international clinical trials. The Surgery & Cancer ICSU is keen to extend its research programme into the field of dermatology and will assist in applying for research grants where appropriate. We have a dedicated Research Team in the Trust that assists with clinical trials. It is of particular importance to the hospital that the postholder fosters excellent collaborative working relationships with local GPs, both individually and through the CCG
The postholder should be willing to assist and support the expansion of Teledermatology services. The Dermatology department is actively involved in clinical research and regularly participates in international clinical trials. The Surgery & Cancer ICSU is keen to extend its research programme into the field of dermatology and will assist in applying for research grants where appropriate. We have a dedicated Research Team in the Trust that assists with clinical trials. It is of particular importance to the hospital that the postholder fosters excellent collaborative working relationships with local GPs, both individually and through the CCG
The postholder should be willing to assist and support the expansion of Teledermatology services. There is therefore the opportunity to include adult/paediatric Teledermatology in the job plan depending on service need. Teledermatology is currently open to routine referrals only, and will eventually become the main routine referral pathway for Dermatology patients in NCL. The paediatric teledermatology service is currently being run as a pilot open to selected local primary care practices.

NELFT is the largest provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in England. The MHST deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions in educational settings for children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties aged 4 to 18 years old. The post holder will be responsible for delivering interventions within MHSTs in and round schools and colleges whilst receiving clinical supervision.

Act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols.

Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. Main duties of the job
This role includes a £3,000 Recruitment Premium lump sum on commencement of employment and thereafter a further £1,500 Retention Premium per annum (pro-rata), paid in equal monthly instalments provided you remain in post and subject to review by the Trust.
Telephone and face to face mental health assessments, brief clinical interventions and support, signposting and referrals.
Validating, de-escalating crisis and coaching people in distress tolerance and emotional regulation strategies. Using a range of brief interventions, you will empower patients, carers and families to manage distress and crisis effectively.
As well as telephone based work the role also include opportunity to complete urgent face to face assessments across Dorset when indicated.
Providing clinical information, advice and support to other professionals and emergency services. Supporting police and ambulance service in accessing most appropriate support for those presenting in mental health crisis.
The team is part of the Trust Access Mental Health services and works closely with a range of other teams and services, including Home Treatment teams, Liaison Psychiatry and the Retreats. Overnight, Connection covers the Home Treatment Team caseload and manages any referrals.

Job summary
The Trust is seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join the Women's secure service and the SCFT. The vacancy has arisen as the result of service development, and the Trust regards this as an opportune moment to develop the functioning of the team.
This post will comprise of 5 sessions on Damson ward, in the women's Service and 5 sessions with the SCFT.
The post holder is expected to join the consultant on call rota.
While primarily responsible for delivering a quality clinical service, the consultant psychiatrist is also expected to be actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services, being involved with the team manager and locality manager in helping to steer the development of the service in line with the strategic direction of the organisation.
Main duties of the job
a) The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the SCFT and have responsibility to provide / input into the care, treatment and risk management for patients under the care coordination of the SCFT. This will include co-working alongside inpatient teams.
b) The post holder will fulfil the Responsible Clinician role for those who are discharged from secure care for follow up by their hub, including all aspects of management (outpatient reviews, MHT and Manager's Hearings (written and oral evidence), CPAs, ASRs and liaison with other organisations.
c) Direct patient contact will be distributed between the clinical base at St Bernards, the service user's placement, a local clinical site within the hub area, remote consultations and hospital wards, as clinically appropriate. Travel time will be planned within working hours.
d) The caseload for each consultant will vary from 20-30 outpatients where they will be providing taking full Responsible Clinician (RC) responsibility and 20-30 inpatients where they will be supporting inpatient teams but having no RC responsibility. Exact caseload sizes and the balance between outpatients and inpatients will vary across time and can be reviewed and agreed by the job planning process.
e) The post holder will be actively involved in the assessment and transition of patients leaving secure care either from WLFS or from out of area private low and medium secure beds.

UHNM have a requirement for a Network & Telephony Engineer to join our newly established Network Services Team. The role will support the Senior Network Engineers in the successful delivery of the internal Network services. The aim of this role is to provide technical Network support for the systems and services used by the UHNM, as well as partners of the Trust, resolving incidents passed from 1st line support in order to maintain 'business as usual'. Where appropriate, involvement in project implementation will also be required. Network Engineers work as part of the team providing support to Principal Network and Telephony Engineer and the Senior Network Engineers in delivering the Data network services across the whole of the Trust to ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable 24 hour, 365 day service
Main duties of the job
- To provide specialist support in the operational management, implementation, maintenance of data communication networks and projects assisting in the provision of continuous and acceptable service to all end users, including management and on-site supervision of approved third party service providers and contractors as well as support of the Network Engineers.
- The post holder will be required to contribute to the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators and Critical Success Factors within the Directorate.
- Implements Data policies and procedures and proposes changes when required. Proposed changes may impact on other functions and departments.
- All staff have the responsibility to ensure they participate fully in a performance review and appraisal process ensuring that any key work objectives, targets, key performance indicators are reviewed on a regular basis with their line manager and contribute to an end of year performance appraisal.
