Job summary
The Medical Centre, Driffield, is looking for a salaried GP to work between 6-8 sessions per week. Driffield is a market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire surrounded by the picturesque wolds, with easy links to nearby York and Beverley and is approximately 10 miles from the beautiful Yorkshire coastline.
The main surgery is located in Driffield town centre with a branch surgery in the village of Wetwang 6 miles west of Driffield. It is a semi-rural practice with 12500 patients.
We dispense to approximately 50% of our patients from Driffield and Wetwang.
Main duties of the job
The practice is a young, enthusiastic team which comprises of 2 partners, 5 salaried GPs, and 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners. We are a training practice with GP trainees from ST1-ST3.
About us
1. A good rating from CQC
2. High QOF achieving (>99%)
3. Above CCG and national average ratings on the GP patient survey
4. 3 GP registrars have all remained in the practice and we have a very low staff turnover rate
5. Paper light practice using Emis Web.
We do participate in extended access which is shared between all GPs working out to approximately 3 weekend sessions of 4 hours totalling 12 hours per year.

HOURS: 6-8 SESSIONS PER WEEK
Job Summary:
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health
- Providing counselling and health education
- Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Collecting data for audit purposes
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
- Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
- In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Other Responsibilities within the Organisation:
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant Practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety
- A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice
- Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation
- Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records
- Contributing to the summarising of patient records and Read-Coding patient data
- Attending training and events organised by the Practice or other agencies, where appropriate.

Compass Medical Practice is a GP practice for those who are difficult to manage in mainstream practice. Patients are either consulted via telephone/ video link or face to face. When a face-to-face appointment is required, a risk assessment is undertaken to assess what support the clinician requires. A whole-time post as consultant in paediatric urology with on-call paediatric surgery and urology commitments, is available now at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a substantive Consultant post.
Main duties of the job
Clinical;The post-holder will contribute to the provision of tertiary level paediatric urology care and in the acute general and neonatal surgery as part of the acute rota (1:7.5). The Community Mental Health Care Group Older Persons (CMHCGOP) for Dover and Deal is a joint team providing a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment service for the over 65 year old population in the Dover and Deal areas.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of the people we care for, while enjoying a fulfilling career with exceptional professional development opportunities. You will be joining a dedicated, professional and supportive team alongside one Consultant colleague.
Successful applicants will ideally have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register. Main duties of the job
- To provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Dover/Deal CMHSOP, and provide senior medical leadership as part of the multidisciplinary team. The work will consist of holding outpatient clinics (face to face, via video or telephone consultation), home visits and conducting reviews in residential and nursing homes.
- To conduct MCA and MHA assessments, attend complex case discussions, CPA and 117 review meetings and provide availability for urgent clinical matters.
- To attend daily RED Board and referral triage meetings, weekly clinical meetings, monthly complex case discussions and governance meetings.
- To support the team in maintaining the MSNAP accreditation for their Memory Assessment Service.
- To liaise closely with referrers, allied professionals, Social Services, carers, voluntary organisations, client groups and contribute to multi-agency working.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join the HCRG Care Group Inpatient Unit team. Main Responsibilities
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will provide advanced clinical care to patients within our community inpatient rehabilitation services, primarily based at Paulton Memorial Hospital, with occasional cross-cover support at St Martins Hospital. You will assess newly admitted patients, formulate diagnoses and management plans, request and interpret investigations, and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care that supports rehabilitation and recovery.
Working autonomously within your scope of practice, you will manage complex clinical presentations and respond to acute health concerns that arise during a patient's inpatient stay. You will work closely with Consultant Geriatricians, specialist doctors, nursing teams, and therapists, contributing to ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and decision-making to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated care.
You will play a key role in discharge planning, referring patients to specialist services when appropriate and ensuring effective communication with GPs, relatives, and carers regarding significant changes in a patient's condition. You will also complete accurate discharge summaries, including medication information, treatment recommendations, and ongoing care plans to support a smooth transition back into the community.

Main duties of the job

Job summary
We are looking for dynamic and innovative individuals to join our team and help to develop the delivery of high class stroke services across the Humber Health Partnership across the whole stroke pathway. They will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients and will participate in the middle grade on-call rota supporting all aspects of hyperacute stroke care including thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy and management of intracerebral haemorrhage. The appointees will also contribute to the recruitment of patients to clinical trials including hyperacute stroke trials. They will also contribute to the TIA service and support the prehospital stroke pathway with the assessment of patients using pre-hospital video triage.
Main duties of the job
They will work closely with our hyperacute stroke nursing team facilitating early assessment of patients in ED minimising delays to assessments and also hyperacute treatments where indicated ensuring also that these are delivered in a timely manner.
They will also support patients during rehabilitation preventing and managing medical complications alongside aiding patient and family decision making. Support for the out-patient follow up of patients following discharge will also form part of the role. There are weekly educational sessions and also regular clinical governance and morbidity and mortality reviews. The stroke clinical fellows will be responsible for coordinating a weekly review of thrombolysis and thrombectomy decision making. They will also play an active part in the weekly MDT meeting.
Whilst the clinical fellow posts are not formally approved training posts, the post holder will have consultant-led education and supervision and will be supported in their professional development. Ideally applicants should have completed MRCP. Applicants should also be competent clinicians and have experience in general and geriatric medicine. Experience in stroke is also desirable but not essential.

Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
With Special Interest in Cancer Diagnostics, One-Stop Clinics, Ambulatory Gynaecology and Colposcopy
This post has arisen as part of phase 1 consultant workforce expansion with aim of improving FDS performance and cancer treatment pathway. The appointment will support the delivery of high-quality, sustainable obstetric and gynaecological services, ensuring appropriate consultant presence on the labour ward, maintaining elective and ambulatory gynaecology activity, and providing supervision and training in line with current postgraduate curricula.
The successful candidate will be a General Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in gynaecological cancer diagnostics, including ultrasound-based one-stop clinics (USC), ambulatory gynaecology pathways, and colposcopy. The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of rapid diagnostic pathways, ambulatory services, and outpatient-based care models aligned with national cancer strategy and modern gynaecological practice.
The post holder will participate in the resident consultant on-call rota for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Women and Children's Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary. Consultant expansion is underway, and the on-call model is evolving towards a sustainable structure with dedicated resident obstetric consultant cover supported by separate consultant on-call provision for gynaecology.
Main duties of the job
- A standard full time Job Plan will contain 10 programmed activities (PAs) comprising 8 PAs for direct clinical care (DCC) and 2 for supporting activities (SPAs). 1.5 SPAs are classed as 'core' and cover time for training, teaching, CPD, audit, appraisal, clinical governance and attendance at service meetings. There are opportunities to participate in undergraduate teaching within the HYMS medical school curriculum. Additional SPA time can be allocated for research, clinical management and educational supervisor (ES) activity. It is expected that the appointee will have completed ES training or complete this within a short time of taking up the post. All new appointees will be encouraged to develop their management skills by taking on a management role which could include assisting more senior colleagues with the organisation of educational activities, College Tutor, audit lead, junior doctor management, recruitment etc. Personal preferences can be considered, and training will be given for the chosen role. Additional PA time is negotiable for more senior management, research or educational roles within the department. There will be opportunities to support service development within outpatient and surgical management of complex gynaecology patients. Postholders may be requested to work across different sites of HHP (HUTH, NLaG) in exceptional circumstances depending on service needs and only by mutual agreement.

Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed individual to join our dynamic and expanding team of Acute Medicine consultants in Leeds. Our growing service aims to deliver a high-quality, consultant-led model of care that meets the needs of our patients. We provide care across two Acute Medical Units (61 beds) and a co-located 4-bedded High Observation Area. As a large teaching hospital with tertiary services, separate takes operate for some specialties, including elderly medicine. Acute Medicine manages approximately 30 admissions per day. Our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit is a purpose-built facility, co-located with the Emergency Department and opened in 2023. It delivers a 7-day service, seeing around 500 patients per week, alongside a well-established ambulatory VTE pathway.
Main duties of the job
This post supports the continued development of a consultant-led service, with daily consultant review for all inpatients, alongside dedicated consultant input into SDEC and Emergency Department in-reach. This model supports early expert decision maker review, admission avoidance, and appropriate patient redirection. The successful applicant will work across all areas of Acute Medicine (AMU, enhanced care, SDEC, and ED in-reach) and contribute to the out-of-hours rota (currently 1:10).

We are one of the UK's leading Upper GI centres with an international reputation for healthcare research. Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Clinical Genetics (5PA) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is available to start from 01 October 2026 for a period of 6 months.
This is an opportunity to join a clinical team at an exciting time of new development and investment in genetics services at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
The department is currently supported by 18 Consultants (12 honorary contract holders), up to 9 Specialty Trainees, 12 Genetic Counsellors and 3 Genomic Practitioners. There is a team of clinic appointment co-ordinators and a pre-clinic information service as well as a strong administrative support. In 2024-2025, 8,000 referrals were received. We are predominantly paperless and use integrated digital systems (Epic and PhenoTips).
The service is located with the East Genomics Laboratory Hub. A Cambridge Children's Hospital and Cancer hospital are being built, providing opportunities for collaboration.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide, with Consultant and Genetic Counsellor colleagues, a general and cancer Genetics Service to Addenbrooke's Hospital and the East Anglian region, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and management of genetic disorders, provision of genetic advice to patients and their families, provision of clinical genetic advice to other health professionals and responsibilities for the proper functioning of the department.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Clinical Genetics or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
