Job summary
Band 5 Staff Nurse Short Term Care Beds Working as a Staff Nurse for Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust within the Short Term Care Beds service is very different from many traditional nursing roles. We work as a community within a community, providing person-centred care and rehabilitation to support patients on their recovery journey. The Short Term Care Beds service provides care for patients who require a short-term stay following discharge from hospital. While returning home is the preferred outcome for many patients, some require a temporary stay in a supportive, homely environment where 24-hour care is available. The service supports patients to regain independence, achieve their rehabilitation goals, and plan for a safe discharge either to their own home or, where appropriate, to a nursing or residential care setting. Our aim is to work in partnership with patients and their families to help them achieve their recovery goals. This is delivered through a multidisciplinary team approach, with support from Registered Nurses, Health Care Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians, and General Practitioners (GPs). The Short Term Care Beds service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you will be required to support patients across a variety of shift patterns to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality care and rehabilitation services.
Main duties of the job
Community nursing in the recovery hubs suits people who can work independently and within the wider multi-disciplinary team. Youll be resilient, motivated, and adaptable to working in an ever-changing environment and of course, a passion for providing the best possible care. You will have great communication skills and maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures. You will ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement. The post holder will be responsible for their designated workload within the bed base and will have access to support from a senior clinician The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of patients care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of patient care working within an integrated health and social care Team For more Information about this Job, please contact - Paula Simpson Operational Service Manager [email protected] Please review the Job Description and Person Specification attached for full requirements of the role. Adverts will close early where the maximum number of applicants is reached.

As a Finance Manager, you will work as the bridge between the project and programme teams in NHS England's directorates and the specialist finance teams to produce high-quality financial reporting and advice that drives value for money and improves patient care. This role will specifically focus on supporting the Vaccination and Screening directorate.

The team offers high profile, fast-paced projects. This requires adaptability, rigor and innovation and provides exciting development opportunities for those developing their careers in the NHS, health or the public sector.
Below are the types of skills and experience that we are looking for. Even if you feel you only meet some of the criteria, we encourage you to apply.
The main duties of the role will include:
- Developing and producing information to support accurate and timely monthly and annual financial performance reports for presentation at programme meetings and to feed into the Directorate's position for corporate reporting, with the information interpreted in a way that supports internal decision-making from finance and non-finance colleagues

Our staff bring expertise across clinical, operational, commissioning, technology, data science, cyber security, software engineering, education, and commercial specialisms -- enabling us to design and deliver high-quality NHS services.
In March 2025, the Government announced that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.
If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You may opt out at any stage of the process.
Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in our offices.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
We cannot offer visa sponsorship for any vacancies.
