Job summary

The Support Services Catering Assistant is responsible to the Support Services Supervisor to undertake a range of catering duties, which include the preparation of beverages, snacks, salads, sandwiches, buffets and cooking of hot meals for both patients and staff within the Health Board. To carry out other relevant duties associated with the catering operation and periodically those as directed to support the wider Support Services Team e.g. cleaning or porter tasks.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit to a Support Services Catering Assistant at Bronllys Hospital.
You will support the local delivery of hotel services catering and associated facilities activities, ensuring that they are delivered at the levels agreed and that they meet with full compliance with all appropriate legislation and local policies and procedures. You will need to be self-motivated, have a flexible approach to work, able to work as part of a team and have the ability to work on your own initiative. Previous experience is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given. You will be working as part of a rota that can include evenings and weekends.
We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don't speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don't worry: the health board will support you with training.

The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) provides blood products to NHS Hospitals across Wales and is currently recruiting a full time Clinic Collection Assistant to include driving duties. From the members of the public who make incredible, life-saving donations to the dedicated members of our team who make it happen - people are essential to the service we provide. You could help us change lives.The role is diverse and will include , welcoming donors, testing donors to see if they are able to give blood on that day, taking blood, maintaining records and offering basic clinical advice and aftercare. You must be able to travel to undertake the duties of the post at various locations. WBS fleet vehicles, team minibus and equipment vehicles are provided.We will give you all the technical training you need to perform venepuncture (using needles to take blood), so you don't need a medical background. However, you will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and have a friendly and flexible approach which will make donors feel welcome at ease and valued.
Main duties of the job
The role will deliver both excellent customer service and direct care to donors throughout the blood donation process. You will be working as part of a multi-skilled team committed to creating a caring environment and excellent customer service experience whilst identifying and meeting the expectation of individual donors so that blood is donated safely and donors are encouraged to return. This will include delivering high standards in customer service, performing venepuncture and driving duties.

Job summary
If successful, you will join an enthusiastic and experienced stroke multidisciplinary team as a Consultant in Stroke Medicine.
Our service admits around 800 confirmed stroke patients each year. An out-of-hours thrombolysis service is provided in partnership with Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH).
A high-risk TIA service operates 5 days a week with same-day carotid Doppler and MRI imaging, enabling carotid endarterectomy within 48 hours when required. Weekend cover is provided by NUH.
At Kings Mill Hospital, Ward 54 provides hyper-acute, acute and stroke care. Six monitored beds form the hyper-acute bay, supported by NIHSS-certified senior stroke nurses available 24/7 to admit patients directly from A&E and assess thrombolysis candidates. A further 14 beds support acute stroke management and rehabilitation, including a therapy area.
Inpatient rehabilitation is provided at Chatsworth Stroke Rehabilitation Unit on the Mansfield Community Hospital site, one mile from Kings Mill Hospital. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and clinical psychology services are available 5 days a week. An activity coordinator provides social activities, including lunch and film clubs.
The Integrated Community Stroke Service (ICSS) delivers intensive community rehabilitation. Supported by therapy, nursing and rehabilitation staff, the service receives around 40% of patients discharged from the stroke unit.
Main duties of the job
Depending on the skills of the successful candidate an opportunity exists to take part in the acute medical on-call.

We are seeking an experienced full-time (10 programmed activities) Consultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson and provide senior medical cover on Low Secure Service across Upper East and East Hampton LSU wards.
The caseload will be Upper East (13 inpatients) and half of East Hampton (7 inpatients)
Upper East and East Hampton are our low secure services for men with mental illness, and both support men experiencing complex mental illness and/or personality disorder.
The services accept direct admissions from the community, from rehabilitation or acute services and from prison, however many people step down through the internal care pathway from the medium secure services offered at Cygnet Bury Hudson.
Across all of our medium and low secure services, service users are supported by a dedicated multi-disciplinary team who work with people to assess their needs and create a discharge pathway to the community.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.

We are seeking an experienced full-time (10 programmed activities) Consultant Psychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson and provide senior medical cover on Low Secure Service across Upper East and East Hampton LSU wards. The caseload will be Upper East (13 inpatients) and half of East Hampton (7 inpatients)
Upper East and East Hampton are our low secure services for men with mental illness, and both support men experiencing complex mental illness and/or personality disorder.The services accept direct admissions from the community, from rehabilitation or acute services and from prison, however many people step down through the internal care pathway from the medium secure services offered at Cygnet Bury Hudson.
Across all of our medium and low secure services, service users are supported by a dedicated multi-disciplinary team who work with people to assess their needs and create a discharge pathway to the community.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensurin g their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.

West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust is looking to build a reserve pool of Vehicle Preparation Operatives to join our well established teams for any vacancies that may arise over the coming 12 months.
We are looking for motivated individuals who will work as part of the team that are responsible for the Make Ready preparation of emergency vehicles, ambulances and cars.

The Medical Engineering (EBME) Team support all users of medical equipment in the acute and community hospitals within the Health Board, ensuring that equipment is always safe for use and that it performs as expected, maintaining the safety of both the users and our patients.
Previous experience of medical equipment is desirable but not essential if you have extensive previous experience of the repair and maintenance of complex electronic equipment. Support and training is offered ensuring excellent career prospects. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide technical support service in relation to a wide range of medical equipment throughout the Central region of BCULHB.
Duties will include:
- The repair, calibration, planned maintenance and commissioning of medical equipment.
- Provide advice and support users of medical equipment on the functions and maintenance of devices.
- Assist in evaluation of maintenance requirements, investigation of incidents and trial of equipment.
- Requisition spares and materials, accept deliveries of materials and equipment booking them in following set procedures.
- Maintain knowledge and keep up to date with technical developments.
- Have a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to work on the Portering Helpdesk, based at the trusts Switchboard department. The role is for a a Portering Helpdesk and Transport operator at Castle Hill Hospital.
The post is to cover a Full time position participating in weekday and weekend shift coverage on a rotational basis including Bank Holiday Rota.
We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual who possesses excellent communication skills who works well under pressure. You will require a confident telephone manner and proven customer service skills.
Main duties of the job
The helpdesk role supports the co-ordination of portering resources; allocating and dispatching tasks, based on importance and urgency, as well as routine activities to support patient flow throughout our hospitals.
Answering calls from colleagues requesting non-patient transport; liaising with couriers and booking tasks.
Working as part of a team, multitasking and liaising with Trust colleagues are a key part of the role.
Portering and non-patient transport desk duties are a key function of this role which also operates from the switchboard area. Full training will be provided.

Join Our Brent Community Paediatric Team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
Are you an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Brent Community Paediatric Team, supporting children and young people aged 0-19 years with special educational needs, additional needs and disabilities.
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll provide specialist nursing assessment, care coordination and ongoing support from referral and diagnosis through to long-term medical and therapeutic care. You'll develop and implement personalised healthcare plans, work closely with families and partner agencies, and play a key role in improving outcomes for children with complex needs.
This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to service development, provide clinical leadership and develop a specialist area of interest as your career progresses.
We're looking for a Registered Nurse (RN, RSCN or RGN) with significant experience working with children and young people within a multidisciplinary setting. A Specialist Community Practitioner qualification in Health Visiting, Children's Community Nursing or School Nursing is desirable.

Main duties of the job
- Triage referrals and provide families with information, advice, and support to access the most appropriate services.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people with complex disabilities and neurodevelopmental needs, including developmental assessments and detailed clinical histories.
- Manage and coordinate specialist care, providing follow-up support through clinics, telephone consultations, and home visits where appropriate.
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) and produce high-quality health advice and reports for EHCPs.
- Run nurse-led clinics and review children following medication changes or multidisciplinary reviews, escalating concerns when required.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to plan and deliver effective, family-centred care.
- Provide specialist advice, training, and support to families, carers, and professionals.
- Support children and young people through key transition periods, including transition to adult services.
- Use advanced clinical judgement to independently manage defined clinical pathways within professional scope of practice.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement, identifying innovative ways to enhance care delivery for children with disabilities and complex needs.

Job summary
The Bodmin CATU is a sub-acute frailty unit dedicated to providing a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach for the comprehensive management of individuals living with frailty and related medical conditions. It offers a brief inpatient stay encompassing medical, nursing, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy assessments, followed by an early discharge to the patient's usual place of care. Post-discharge support is provided by Cornwall's Hospital at Home and community services.
The unit operates under nurse leadership with medical support. General Practitioners (GPs) & SAS Doctors collaborate with senior nurses on the ward, ensuring advanced medical decision-making for CATU inpatients. Referrals are accepted from various community providers, including the South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST), the virtual ward, and GPs.
Main duties of the job
In collaboration with the senior nurses on the ward, provide advanced medical decision-making for CATU inpatients.
Offer medical guidance and leadership in the MDT management of patients.
Participate in advanced care planning (e.g., TEP) and end-of-life care.
Oversee and contribute to the education and training of junior doctors (including GP trainees), medical students, ACPs, and other AHPs.
Communicate with patients, families, and carers about their medical care.
Coordinate with other medical specialties, such as Eldercare and Palliative care, for specialist advice when necessary.
