Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Paediatric Continence Nurse Advisor to join our specialist team, providing expert continence care.
This exciting cross-site role offers the opportunity to work with children, young people and their families to assess, support and manage a wide range of bladder and bowel conditions. Through education, clinical expertise and compassionate care, you will play a vital role in helping children achieve improved health outcomes, enhanced independence and a better quality of life.
We are looking for a registered children's nurse or nurse with relevant paediatric experience who is enthusiastic about delivering outstanding patient-centred care. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build trusting relationships with children and families, and committed to promoting dignity, independence and positive health outcomes.If you are passionate about paediatric care and want to make a meaningful difference every day, we'd love to hear from you. Join us as a Paediatric Continence Nurse Advisor and help children and young people build confidence, achieve independence and reach their full potential.
30 hours per week | Cross-site working at Sandwell Health Campus and Glebefields Health Centre | Rowely Regis Health Campus
Main duties of the job
Main Resposibilities of the Role:
- Undertake independent Nurse-Led Clinics, delivering high-quality assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
- Conduct comprehensive initial patient assessments to identify clinical needs and develop appropriate management plans.
- Triage referrals, prioritising patients according to clinical urgency and service criteria.
- Perform bladder scanning procedures and interpret findings to support clinical decision-making.
- Independently review and manage patient caseloads, while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach.
- Assess patients for continence and associated product provision requirements, ensuring appropriate recommendations and prescriptions are made.
- Provide specialist advice, education, and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals as required.
- Support the Clinical Lead in the effective delivery of the service and deputise on their behalf when required.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and the achievement of departmental objectives.

Job summary

You will be responsible for leading your own zone in respect of patient safety and professional standards.
You'll demonstrate clinical excellence and act as a professional role model to junior staff, and beconfident to make your own clinical decisions whilst using your own initiative.

Reporting to a senior Community Matron for the service, the post holder will be an autonomous practitioner and clinical specialist responsible for developing and implementing service provision within the team across the borough of Sandwell.
The post holder will have continuing responsibility for proactively monitoring and managing patients on a caseload within a designated pathway, recognising the early symptoms of disease exacerbation, acute illness, and injuries, as well as social and familial factors based on the understanding of long-term conditions, the effects on the individual, their family and environment as well as current evidence and practice standards.
The service will be delivered to a defined population of patients needing complex case management for long term conditions and complex social risk factors within the community setting, preventing inappropriate hospital admission.

We are looking for an enthusiastic organised Personal Assistant to work within a small administration team. You will provide support and information packs for lung cancer pathway, deal with appointment queries, booking and cancellations. You will be responsible for cleansing and sending appointment letters, emails and EPIC inbasket management for 8 consultants, 2 Registrars, 5 Nurses and 1 Physiotherapist This is a part time role on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2027 Proposed Interview date: 22nd October 2026
Main duties of the job
General office administration, including emails, telephone calls and voicemails, inbaskets/pools andpost.
Supporting respiratory consultants, physiotherapists, clinical nurse specialists and other clinicalteams with day-to-day administrative and secretarial duties.
Managing correspondence, including cleaning clinic letters, referrals, and other clinical documentation (EBSUS/Bronchoscopy leaflets). Correspondences referring to 2WW Lung cancer patients must be actioned in a timely manner to meet Cancer FDS standard.
Arranging and managing outpatient appointments, including booking new patient and follow-up respiratory clinics for Lung cancer target clinics and clinical nurse specialist clinics, monitoring clinic ultisation. Most booking is completed centrally by the contact center.

Job summary
Trust Doctor ST3-5 in Trauma and Orthopaedics. The role is being advertised to cover a deanery gap from October 2026 to April 2027 to work within the team and will include a mix of orthopaedic clinics, theatre and ward based work, covering both elective admissions and trauma.
The post holder would work within the orthopaedic department under the supervision of our consultants. They would be expected to join the on-call rota, 1 in 11 non-resident on-call, with the existing registrar body. They would participate in ward, clinic and operating lists in conjunction with a supervising consultant and independently in their absence.
The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to audit, research and training within the orthopaedic department. The hospital has access to the MATTU facility, in which to conduct research and development.
The Trauma and Orthopaedic department, entirely sited at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, has one ward, Bramshott. Day Surgery is performed in a dedicated NHS facility within the confines of the Guildford Nuffield Hospital. We currently occupy four operating theatres with laminar flow within the main frame of the hospital and are excited to be part of the new CASIC development. The Musculoskeletal (MSk) service, together with Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinics are held in a self-contained outpatient unit in close proximity to A&E and the Radiology department, the outpatient unit has a plaster room dedicated to Orthopaedics and Trauma.
Main duties of the job
The post holder would work within the orthopaedic department under the supervision of one of the existing 17 Consultants.The post holder would gain clinical and operative experience in in both elective orthopaedics and trauma surgery. They would be expected to join the on-call rota 1 in 11 with the existing registrar body. They would participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics (fracture and elective) and operating lists in conjunction with a supervising consultant, and independently where appropriate.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated member of staff to help provide a high-quality, comprehensive and proactive clinical physiotherapy service for children and young people (0 to 19 years of age) referred to our specialist children's physiotherapy service within the community setting. We are based at Kaleidoscope, a purpose-built Children and Young People's Centre, in Catford and provide physiotherapy for children and young people in the diverse population of the London borough of Lewisham with neurodevelopmental conditions.
The successful candidate will be motivated, organised and committed to working within a team environment.
An extended DBS check and fulfilment of the physical requirement of the post are detailed in the person specification. A clean driving license is desirable, however the borough has good transport links.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within mainstream and special schools, provide early intervention to identified client groups under five and assess and treat school-age children. They will take an active part in leading physiotherapy groups for children, deliver aquatic therapy and supervise students on clinical placement. The post holder will hold a varied caseload and be able to develop their skills in postural management, neurodevelopmental interventions, specialist equipment and orthotics, rotating within areas within the service.
Within Lewisham there is a strong multidisciplinary/ multiagency approach to working with children and young people, the post holder will support this and will be involved in promoting it for individual families.
We have a physiotherapy team of 12 members of staff and offer peer support, with a strong commitment to continuing professional development. The post holder will be supported by dedicated and experienced band 7 Physiotherapists. They will have opportunities to develop clinical and organisational skills in a variety of settings and to work with children of all ages from 0-19 years.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Biomedical Scientists assist the Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientists in the day-to-day running of the department and will be expected to undertake supervision and training of junior staff, troubleshooting and escalating issues.
The post holder will perform analytical procedures necessary for the histological diagnosis of disease. Using accredited procedures, they will rotate through the routine histopathology laboratory facilitating BMS cut-up, microtomy, embedding, special stains and immunohistochemistry sections. They will liaise with pathologists, clinicians and laboratory staff to assist in the delivery of a professional and efficient diagnostic service.
As a HCPC registered BMS, the post holder is expected to plan and organise their own work and follow the principle and broad occupational policies or regulations, adhering to standard operating procedures and local rules within Histopathology.
The post holder is expected to maintain professional competency and dexterity in those precision based specialist and physical tasks and maintain the levels of concentration required to maintain the quality service. The post holder is expected to participate in on-call service at the ESL after suitable training is given should this be required, competency assessments have been completed and sufficient experience is gained.

Children and young people with mental health problems are often accommodated in Paed ED,PAU and Willow ward whilst receiving medical care and/or awaiting a mental health assessment.An increasing number of these children and young people are then placed on a Section and detained under the Mental Health Act. Main duties of the job
This post will play a key role in supporting staff around the management of these patients. Thepost holder will provide relevant training, supervision / debriefing and support to staff and act asthe interface between Paediatric ED, PAU and Willow ward, NELFT and the CAMHS ServiceThe purpose of this role is to provide a safe and timely assessment and ongoing support tochildren and young people who present in a mental health crisis. To develop and deliver robusteducational interventions that promotes best practice in the management of patientsexperiencing, or at risk of self-harm. To support staff within the units to appropriately risk assess,support care provision and attend MDT meetings to support the pathway of children and youngpeople with mental health conditions within the acute trust.

We are looking for a caring, organised and proactive Frailty Care Coordinator to join our team at Shap Medical Practice on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028, working 16 hours per week. Salary will be dependent on experience.
We are ideally looking for someone with a background in healthcare, social care or the third sector, although we are also interested in people who can demonstrate the right skills, experience and approach. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about supporting our frail and older patients and who is able to build positive, trusting relationships with patients, their families and the wider team.
The postholder will work closely with GPs, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to manage a caseload of patients, helping to identify needs, coordinate appropriate support and ensure that patients are connected with the services and organisations that can help them.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to patients in our rural community by helping people stay well, independent and supported in their own homes for as long as possible.

The role will play an important part in proactively identifying and supporting people living with frailty, particularly older people and those with complex health and social care needs.
