This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative, close-knit team delivering a range of primary care services across Leeds. The Service Support Officer will play a key role in supporting service delivery through high-quality administration, rota coordination, and patient support.
Working closely with the Operational Team, and clinical colleagues, the post holder will provide essential support including rota management, staff and patient contact, referral processing, appointment booking, and general administrative duties. The role will be aligned to specific areas of service delivery but will provide the flexibility to support across wider services and duties as needed.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Rota Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate rota schedules to ensure safe staffing and service delivery.
- Manage and update rotas, communicating changes promptly to relevant staff.
- Process leave requests and incorporate into rota planning.
- Monitor staffing levels, addressing gaps due to planned/unplanned absence, escalating where needed.
- Liaise with staff and managers to ensure smooth rota operation, arranging cover or rescheduling appointments where required.
- Act as first point of contact for rota queries, escalating issues appropriately.
- Identify and implement improvements to rotas to support workforce wellbeing, service efficiency, and patient experience.
- Maintain rotas accurately and ensure timely circulation to key staff.
Patient and Staff Contact
- Act as an initial point of contact for telephone and email queries from patients, practices, and colleagues.
- Handle enquiries sensitively and confidentially, providing clear information and appropriate signposting.
- Maintain timely communication with clinical and operational staff to ensure efficient communication and service delivery.
Referrals and Appointment Booking
- Process patient referrals in line with agreed procedures, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
- Book, confirm, and amend patient appointments using clinical systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne).
- Maintain accurate records of patient activity and support reporting requirements.
Service Support and Quality
- Support accurate data input and collection on service quality and performance.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
- Assist with incident reporting, safeguarding procedures, and risk management activities, including the escalation of risk to the most appropriate person.
- Support with the management of key information for service key performance indicators.

The role of the Reception Care Navigator is to ensure that patients are assisted courteously, efficiently and with empathy, and to support other members of the practice team. We are looking to recruit a proactive and ambitious pharmacy technician to lead, develop and oversee our procurement, distribution and administration teams.
The role exists to provide oversight of the purchasing and efficient distribution of medicines across the Trust. This includes joint responsibility for overall stock control and management of teams involved in procurement, distribution and invoicing. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Commissioning & Contracts Manager to join the South London Partnership (SLP) Complex Care Programme.
This is a senior role with responsibility for supporting the effective commissioning and contract management of complex care services across South London. Main duties of the job
The postholder will provide senior commissioning and contracting expertise across the SLP Provider collaboratives and Complex Care Programme, supporting the full commissioning and contract management lifecycle.
You will lead complex contracting activity, including contract development, negotiation, variations and renewals, ensuring robust governance and oversight. Working with providers and partners, you will monitor quality, performance, activity, outcomes and value for money, identifying risks and underperformance and ensuring appropriate action and escalation.
You will contribute to service redesign, procurement and mobilisation, and lead the development of service specifications, KPIs and performance arrangements. You will build effective relationships with NHS Trusts, ICBs, local authorities and independent and voluntary-sector providers, providing advice and assurance to senior governance forums.
You will also provide leadership and support to the Commissioning & Contracts team, helping to strengthen consistent and effective commissioning and contract management across the programme.
The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility in how and where you work, balanced with the needs of the service. Job summary
The Health Records Clerk is responsible for the accurate, complete and timely availability of patient records and documentation within the Electronic Document Management Systems as part of the patient clinical record.

Main duties of the job
Working as a member of the Health Records Scanning Bureau, the post holder will be responsible for retrieval, transportation, archiving, preparation, indexing, scanning, sorting, handling and quality assurance of health records, supporting the digitisation of paper-based records into the Trust Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), Hyland Onbase and EMIS in line with departmental procedures.
The role is vital to support service users regarding health records related processes including medical staff, nursing staff, allied health professionals, medical secretaries, administrators and external agencies. Document preparation and manual scanning includes frequently being seated whilst completing these tasks.All post holders are to be involved in and adaptable to future changes in the scope and location of their role, supporting health records processes and being receptive to change as the Trust EPR and EDMS solutions develop and mature over time, in particular supporting processes that are compliant with BS10008 scanning standards.

This busy, friendly, Radiology Department has a vacancy for a Senior Radiology Assistant. The post is a rotational role through all LUHFT sites including Aintree University Hospital, Royal Liverpool Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital.

As a member of the CSSD team, you will be responsible for the cleaning, inspection, packing and sterilisation of medical equipment and surgical instruments.

Job summary
Quality Control North West Liverpool is an NHS regional specialist department responsible for providing pharmaceutical testing services to NHS and non-NHS clients. The laboratories are modern and well equipped, and are regulated by the MHRA to Good Manufacturing Practice, and UKAS to ISO17025. We are based in the Pharmacy Practice Unit, close to the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
We are looking to appoint a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual, educated to 'A level' in a science subject, to join our busy Microbiology reception team that receives more than 250,000 samples per year for testing. The successful candidate will be an important member of the hardworking team and will have an interest in microbiological analysis.

The main duties include entering sample details onto the laboratory information management system, managing laboratory supplies, performing instrument checks, performing microbiological analysis, managing laboratory waste, and ensuring that the laboratory is maintained in a clean and safe state (complying at all times with Health Safety regulations).

The Trust wishes to appoint a full-time Consultant Immunologist within the Clinical Immunology/Allergy Directorates.
The role will be based in Broadgreen Hospital and the successful applicant will work alongside members of the Allergy/Clinical Immunology department which sits under the Broadgreen site management team. Much of the work will involve seeing patients referred to the allergy clinic, primarily in an outpatient setting. Clinics are typically held in a structured outpatient environment, allowing for focused, patient-centred care and multidisciplinary support.

An exciting opportunity to join the Bacteriology Department at Severn Pathology.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold registration with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) as a Biomedical Scientist
- Have a BSc Honours Degree in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent
- Have a postgraduate level qualification in Biomedical Science equivalent to Fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Science (FIBMS) or equivalent experience.

Have responsibility to manage a section/s of the Bacteriology Laboratory, ensuring that all designated tasks are completed. They will use professional judgment to support and advise requesting clinicians upon effective diagnosis and treatment to improve patient management. Ensuring that quality management systems are maintained and implemented to maintain UKAS accreditation.
Participate in provision of the out of hours service (weekends and Bank Holidays) is expected along with participation in the provision of the on-call service (lone working).
Main duties of the job
To manage and be in technical charge of a section of the Bacteriology service. Required to check all aspects of the quality of teamwork, to detect problems and take appropriate remedial action where necessary. Manage daily staff rotas for work allocation and training for medical staff, clinical scientists, other Biomedical Scientists, new staff, students and support staff.
Manage the laboratory information service for own speciality on a daily basis allowing service users/clients access to accurate and updated patient test results.
As a specialised staff member, you will be required to train and demonstrate methodologies on complex analytical equipment to medical staff, clinical scientists, other BMS staff, new starters, students and HSSW's. You will have great communication skills and leadership qualities to empower your team in a complex and busy department.
To ensure technical standards are maintained through internal and external QA schemes in accordance with ISO 15189:2022 standards for accreditation.

The Reception and Appointment Clerk works across a number of sites providing reception, administrative and appointment booking support for Haematology and Oncology services. The role involves booking appointments, managing telephone systems, supporting patient pathways and undertaking a range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of services across both Bristol and Weston.

The Reception and Appointment Clerk works closely with a wide range of administrative teams including the Treatment Bookings Team, Clinic Coordinators, Medical Secretaries and Clinical Nurse Specialist Support Team. As the team deal with a wide range of enquiries, the postholder will be expected to liaise effectively with colleagues across multiple departments and locations.
The Reception and Appointment Clerk provides a frontline welcome, support, information and signposting to patients receiving treatment for cancer and those living with non-malignant blood conditions. The role is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team supporting both outpatient and day unit services
Main duties of the job
Communication:
o To welcome patients to the department, ensuring that patient information held is correct (address, telephone numbers, GP details, Next of Kin details), and that the attendance is recorded on Medway/Mosaiq.
o To liaise with patients, wards, clinical staff, GPs and Trust support staff in person, via telephone and email as and when necessary.
Patient Care:
o To show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers. This may require acting with resilience to deal with sometimes distressed patients and relatives in an empathetic manner
Organising and Planning:
o To carry out associated duties, for example, call handling, outcoming clinic appointments, booking bloods, managing the team inbox, scanning, and patient filing.
Service Development and Research:

My name is Jane Yarnell, my role as the Lead Practitioner Development Technician for the OUHFT Pharmacy Department means that I am privileged to lead the training for our fantastic team of Pharmacy Level 2 apprentices, enabling them to gain the skills necessary to become a Pharmacy Assistant within one of our departments across the trust. Pharmacy Assistants are essential members of the pharmacy team working under the supervision of a Pharmacist and alongside Pharmacy Technicians to provide pharmaceutical care for the patient. The duties are varied, and it is not simply a matter of counting tablets. I am currently looking for a level 2 Pharmacy apprentice to join the Horton General Hospital Pharmacy department.
During your 15-month contract full practical in-house training will be provided, you will undertake a level 2 Specialist Btec in The Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Support Staff, this will provide you with the skills to work as a Pharmacy Assistant, alongside the knowledge you will need to support your pharmacy career. You must be a team player, keen to further your education, and have a good attention to detail as well as the ability to work accurately in a busy environment and be able to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
Main duties of the job
It is desirable that you have 4 GCSEs of 3 or above, but we can help with functional skills.
