The role supports the Cancer Alliance business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service provision. General Lead Radiographer (Core Services) working at both Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals.
The post holder will be responsible for the daily operational function of the plain film service on both sites, ensuring all areas are adequately staffed.
They will be a role model for the radiographic staff providing clinical leadership, promoting the development and maintenance of high quality standards in addition to managerial responsibilities within the modality.
Deputise in the absence of Radiology Operations Manager and or Head of Radiology.
To constantly monitor the effectiveness of the departmental protocols and procedures; if necessary using audit outcomes or research from internal or external sources to initiate new protocols and procedures
The post holder will have a special interest in general radiography and advance practice and have or be willing to work towards a post graduate qualification as required.
The Plain Film Service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with core hours between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday. The service is staffed by means of a shift system. The post holder will be expected to support this service and participate in the shift system. There may be opportunity for occasional additional working hours outside of this, as required or to provide emergency staffing cover for the out of hours service.
Main duties of the job

To contribute to service redesign of radiology in conjunction with directorate objectives.

Main duties of the job
To work autonomously with minimal supervision from Consultant Gastroenterologists to undertake therapeutic interventions in accordance with Departmental policies. To take responsibility for developing and reviewing relevant policies. To be an expert practitioner, providing specialist nursing advice and support in all aspects related to the Non-Medical Endoscopist. Maintain awareness and knowledge of national developments related to Non-Medical Endoscopists. Administer conscious Midazolam sedation and analgesia and be responsible for the development and amendment of departmental policies related to conscious sedation in accordance with British Gastroenterology.
Undertake nurse led Gastroenterology related face to face and non face to face Patient Consultations.
To work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that local practice is of the highest standard for current and future patients whilst achieving all national and local targets. At least 70% of the duty time will be spent in providing direct clinical care and advice for gastro-intestinal patients at the diagnostic stage of their care. This post provides three weekly clinical sessions to a medium and low secure service based at Brockfield House which houses approximately 100 inpatients. Welcome to FCMS!
We are looking for a Registered Nurse (Wound Care) to join our Wound Care Service. The service is spread across clinics in Fleetwood, Freckleton and St Annes.
Pay: £15.88 - £19.33 per hour depending on experience
Hours: 22.5 hours per week permanent post
Accountable to: Lead Wound Care Nurse
Reports to: Clinical Manager for Lancashire Place Based Care
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertake wound assessments and treatment for patients with simple wounds. Patients who will be referred to this service will be the following types:
Post operative including suture and staple removal
Post trauma skin tears, self-harm
Acute wounds that require follow up
Cavity Wounds
Burns/scalds that require follow up
Patient education including nutrition in relation to wound healing and scar management
There is an expectation to refer to the wider community team if required, support Senior clinicians and HCAs and attend meetings when required. The post holder will help promote the service and implement change as requested from the ICB.
Exclusion Criteria: Those patients who are: Not registered with a GP in Fylde and Wyre CCG (i.e., reside outside area) House bound Undergoing or requiring Vac Therapy patients Undergoing or requiring Larvae Therapy Doppler patients

Job summary
The Sandwell and West Birmingham Bowel Cancer Screening Programme isseeking to recruit a full time Specialist Screening Practitioner (SSPs) tojoin our team.
The bowel screening service addresses the needs of individuals currentlyaged between 50 and 75 who have an abnormal test result from ahome screening kit.
SSPs are expected to work autonomously in guiding patients to makeinformed decisions at all stages of the screening pathway, whilstadhering to Trust and Bowel cancer screening policies and protocols.
Applicants must be a registered general nurse with appropriateknowledge and experience. Specific training will be provided. Ourprogramme delivers screening services from three hospital sites: Sandwell Health Campus, Birmingham Treatment Centre, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Travelling between sites will be required, so afull driving license would be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
You will take overall responsibility for patients within the bowelscreening programme ensuring they are appropriately assessed, management plans are in place and the care they receive is effective,compassionate and of the best quality. The post holder will be expectedto work autonomously as a Specialist Screening Practitioner for theBowel Cancer Screening Programme while collaborating appropriately with members of the multi-disciplinary team and staff at other sites,ensuring that the screening population of Sandwell and West Birminghamreceive an equal and diverse Bowel Cancer Screening Service.
This role is part of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and subject tosignificant national audit, therefore it requires good IT skills andattention to detail. Based in the busy operations centre, the post holder will be working closely with all grades of medic, nurses, administrators and other team members.The post holder will be responsible for taking initial calls from doctors and nurses within the region. Customer service skill, IT skills and an ability to 'think ahead' is essential when taking calls, as is the ability to transfer information onto the database efficiently.General office administration skills, assisting with preparation of all documentation and communication needs to meet service requirements.
All training will be given once in post.
The post holder will be required to work shifts to cover the 24/7 service, including 12 hour days shifts and 11 hour night shifts with periods of lone working. Duties are shared between the admin team on a 4 week rota.
