Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Nurse (SCPHN desirable) to join our Children in Care health team for 23.5 hours per week based at Derby Court, Trowbridge. The Children in Care health team works with partnership agencies striving to make positive changes and improve health outcomes for children in care. You will join a supportive and welcoming team of specialist health nurses and admin support, managed by the Named Nurse for Looked After Children. The team is committed to professional development, and successful applicants will have access to further training. Working hours are typically Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with flexibility and hybrid working offered. As a Children in Care Nurse, you will work with a wider team to promote the physical, mental, and emotional health of children and young people, support families and carers, assess health needs, and provide direct clinical services and training. We welcome Band 5 Nurses looking to advance or established Band 6 Nurses interested in Looked After Children.

Job Introduction

Working hours are typically Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, though we are committed to flexibility with hours and offer hybrid working to meet the needs of the staff, clients, and the service.

Main Responsilbities
As a Children in Care Nurseyou will work with wider team to provide a service that promotes the physical, mental, and emotional health of children and young people and support for families and carers.
You will:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate the health needs of children on the caseload, challenging and escalating concerns where needed.
- Undertake assessments, considering emotional, mental, physical, and sexual health, ethnic and cultural needs.
- Provide direct clinical services to Looked After Children, to ensure that where possible every child has an individual and holistic health care plan.
- Provide direct services, enhancing local co-ordination and communication between young people, carers, health, education, social services, and voluntary agencies.
- Provide quality care and health assessments making appropriate care planning recommendations, surveillance, advice, support and health promotion
- Deliver training to foster carers and other health and social care professionals.

The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a Registered Nurse with NMC registration
- Hold a SCPHN Qualification (desirable)
- A full UK Drivers Licence and access to a car.
- Have experience and a passion for Children in Care.
- Have experience and an interest in Safeguarding
- It would be an advantage if you held a qualification/ knowledge in Contraception and Sexual Health due to the services strong focus on young people's sexual health

The Complaints & PALS Team are looking for a well-motivated, friendly and hardworking individual to join the team in the role of the Complaints & PALS Officer. We are looking for someone who pays great attention to detail, has an excellent telephone manner and has previous experience of working in an office environment. The focus of the job is to ensure that all formal complaints & PALS contacts are handled in line with Trust policy
This key position will require excellent communication and organisation skills with knowledge of basic IT. Previous complaints experience is desirable. You must have a methodical approach to work and be able to work independently as well as in a team whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include logging, acknowledging and closing complaints & PALS contacts, arranging meetings, taking minutes, answering telephone calls, maintaining databases and spreadsheets and liaising with staff across the organisation. You will also attend meetings with complainants and their relatives and will be someone who is confident in interacting with a variety of different people.

Job description Job responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general pharmaceutical duties under the supervision of a pharmacy technician specialist.To undertake day to day supervision of staff including the allocation of tasks in order to co-ordinate and manage the workload of the section. -Dispensary based training at Southampton General Hospital where you will be trained through competency based learning to dispense, label and check accurately; issuing medications to patients will also be covered.
